I Dumped My Mate—Now Every Beast King Wants Me
Chapter 56: No One Has More Right Than Her
Chapter 56: Chapter 56: No One Has More Right Than Her
Seeing Amy’s sheer resolve, Loki gnashed his teeth in anger and simply resorted to threats.
"Amy, I am your father. If you don’t listen to me, I will kick you out of the Snow Wolf Clan."
"Father, you..." Amy’s eyes widened in disbelief. She turned on her heels and tried to run outside on her short little legs.
Seeing this, Loki took a few quick strides, grabbed Amy by the scruff of her neck, and tucked her under his arm.
"Let me go! Let me go!"
Trapped in his iron grip, Amy couldn’t break free. The sharp pain in her arm made her wince.
She had never imagined that her father would treat her this way.
"I am your father, and you must listen to what I say. I’m taking you to the Golden Dragon Clan right now, so you’d better behave." A threatening glint flashed in Loki’s eyes.
He felt that this little female cub had gone completely astray and was no longer on his side.
Although Miche had low fertility, it wasn’t a lost cause. Once they became mates, if he worked hard enough, they would definitely be able to produce a little female cub of their own.
Since that was the case, it was far more cost-effective to send Amy to the Golden Dragon Clan in exchange for medicine.
Loki turned his gaze back to Miche, his expression resolute. "Trust me, Miche. I will definitely bring the medicine back to save your brother."
"Mhm, I trust you. Loki, you’re all I have right now," Miche nodded, her eyes glistening with tears.
She firmly believed that Ophelia wouldn’t be so heartless as to ignore them completely. Even if she was, Laxus was still there; Loki absolutely wouldn’t return empty-handed this time.
Loki forcefully dragged Amy along as they headed toward the Golden Dragon Clan. The night was pitch-black, and a torrential downpour lashed at them along the way. The dark, ominous road left Amy trembling with fear.
Her teeth chattering, she pleaded, "Father, I’m scared. The rain is so heavy—let’s go another day."
"No, Galen is still running a fever. I promised Ms. Miche that I would get the medicine today." Loki’s attitude was unyielding, completely ignoring Amy’s pleas.
No matter how hard Amy struggled, she ultimately couldn’t break free from the overwhelming strength of an adult male.
"Father, I’m so cold. I want to go back and put on an animal pelt." Amy hugged herself tightly against the freezing wind.
Because they had left in a hurry, Loki hadn’t bundled Amy up tightly like last time, not even bothering to grab an extra pelt to keep her warm.
Just moments after leaving the Snow Wolf Clan’s tribe, Amy was already drenched. She was dressed too thinly and was now freezing, her lips turning purple.
Amy had thought her father would take pity on her and turn back to the tribe to get her warm clothes, but he showed no concern for her whatsoever.
"Hmph, you brought this on yourself. Let this rain thoroughly wash away your selfish habits."
Devoid of any tenderness, Loki tightened his hold on Amy, quickened his pace, and even broke into a run.
"You’re a bad father! I don’t want to go to the Golden Dragon Clan with you! Let me go!" Desperate to escape, a sudden idea struck Amy, and she clamped her teeth down hard on Loki’s hand.
Bitten so unexpectedly, Loki’s anger flared up instantly.
"Amy, how dare you bite me! You really are as vicious as your mother!"
Amy had finally managed to break free and run, but Loki caught up to her in just a few strides. Without hesitation, he knocked her unconscious and carried her off.
He felt no guilt at all for harming his own little female cub. Instead, he believed he was teaching Amy a lesson to make her a better person.
Besides, his impending ascension to Clan Leader was far more important than Amy’s well-being right now. After all, Laxus wouldn’t actually stand by and watch her die of illness.
Loki simply hauled Amy over his shoulder all the way to the Golden Dragon Clan.
Only when he neared the Golden Dragon Clan’s territory did he feign a look of sheer panic and cradle Amy back in his arms.
When the males of the Golden Dragon Clan spotted Loki and Amy approaching again, they quickly raised their guard.
The moment Loki set foot in the mountain’s stone house encampment, the Golden Dragon clansmen surrounded him.
"Loki, what are you doing here again? Ophelia said she won’t see you. Leave immediately, or don’t blame us for getting rough!"
Since Loki had caused a massive scene a few days ago, everyone—whether they knew him personally or not—was well aware of Ophelia’s attitude toward him.
These Dragon Beasts already despised this Wolf Beast for abducting their Princess, so they naturally gave him no quarter upon seeing him.
"And what if I insist on forcing my way in?" Completely ignoring the clansmen’s warnings, Loki chose to directly barge through.
He figured that as long as he caused a big enough ruckus, either Laxus or the Golden Dragon Clan Leader, Leon, would eventually show up.
A fierce brawl broke out between the two sides. The commotion was so massive that it quickly alerted Ophelia’s side.
At that moment, Ophelia was eating white rice with her family. "What happened?"
Laxus also felt the surrounding tremors and spoke solemnly, "Loki is here. He’s trying to force his way in."
Ophelia’s gaze grew cold. "Why is he here again? We just can’t shake him off."
Revealing a trace of murderous intent, Ophelia led her family out to the clearing in front of the stone houses to investigate.
"What are you doing here again?"
Seeing Ophelia arrive, both sides ceased fighting.
Loki immediately plastered an anxious expression on his face. "Ophelia, please, hurry and save Amy! Her condition has worsened. She was burning up so badly that she started speaking nonsense, and now she won’t wake up no matter how much I call her."
Without even sparing a glance at Amy in his arms, Ophelia ordered coldly, "Throw him out."
"We went through so much trouble to get here! No matter what, she is your daughter. You can’t just leave her to die!
"I’m not asking for much. I just hope you can give me ten more doses of herbal medicine."
Herbal medicine?
Upon hearing this, Ophelia immediately shot a look at her brother.
Laxus rubbed his nose guiltily. "I... I gave him three packets of medicine last time."
Ophelia glared at him, then sneered coldly, "She wants to drink my medicine? Does she even deserve it?"
Loki looked utterly bitter. "Are you really going to watch Amy die? I know you’re not that cold-blooded. You used to dote on her so much; you wouldn’t bear to let this happen," he said, desperately trying to play the family card. "She’s fallen into a coma from a high fever and can’t wake up. If she doesn’t get the medicine soon, she’s going to die."
He even deliberately adjusted his hold so Amy was visible. The frail little female cub was deathly pale, her eyes tightly shut in a deep coma. Her little cheeks were flushed red from the fever; one look was enough to tell she was seriously ill.
"How did this happen?" Ophelia’s mother, Rebecca, was taken aback by the sight, not expecting Amy to have been tormented so miserably.
"Ophelia, do you really have the heart to watch Amy suffer?" Loki’s eyes reddened with feigned distress.
"How did Amy’s condition suddenly get so severe? The medicine I gave you last time was clearly enough to cure her," Laxus scratched his head in confusion.
Loki ignored him, not daring to explain the truth.
He could only continue to play the victim. "Laxus, no matter what, Amy is still your blood relative. She even calls you Uncle Laxus. Please, give us some more medicine."
"I won’t let him give you any medicine. You can drop the act."
She was the one who had provided all the medicine, so no one had more right than her to decide who received it.
Not even Laxus or her father, Leon!
