Chapter 46: Chapter 46: "Tyler, You’ll Always Lose Out Like This." It Always Made Her Heart Ache.

Ali’s beautiful, almond-shaped green eyes were filled with determination.

Everyone’s gaze shifted to the figure standing at the door. It was none other than the White Tiger King, Klein, who had come to "watch the show" again.

Ali closed her eyes, snatched the Stone Bowl from Ophelia’s hands, and downed the contents in one gulp. It was her first time tasting such a bitter broth. She regretted it the moment she took the first swallow, but remembering her own bold words, she forced herself to brace through and finish it.

After finishing, she couldn’t suppress the urge to vomit.

RETCH!

Ophelia hurriedly cut a small piece of sugarcane and fed it into Ali’s mouth. Soothed by the sweet sugarcane juice, Ali finally managed to recover a little.

Still worried, Ophelia came to check on Ali’s condition in the middle of the night. Ali was sleeping soundly in her grass nest. Ophelia reached out to touch her forehead; the smooth skin was covered in beads of sweat.

During her previous fever, Ali hadn’t sweated for a whole day and night. Now, it had only been half a night and she was already sweating profusely, showing signs that her fever was breaking.

By the next morning, Ali’s fever was completely gone. She was full of life once more and began enthusiastically promoting Ophelia to the people of the Golden Dragon Clan. Seeing this, Grayson and the elders finally felt reassured enough to give the herbal medicine to their clan members.

Ophelia brought out two large Beast Skin Bags full of herbs from her room—a pre-mixed fever-reducing remedy.

"Are these the herbs that can reduce fevers?" Grayson looked at the assorted plants in the Beast Skin Bag with curiosity.

"Yes," Ophelia replied calmly, busy pouring the herbs into a stone pot.

Grayson watched the herbs in the stone pot, a thought crossing his mind. "Princess, let me help."

"Alright."

Ophelia willingly stepped aside to make room. Free labor was always welcome. She handed the mugwort in her hands to Grayson. While demonstrating the process, she explained the distinct effects of each herb to help him memorize them.

"Princess, I apologize. I was ignorant before and misunderstood your good intentions without knowing the facts," Grayson said.

"It’s fine. We all just want what’s best for the clan." Ophelia didn’t blame Grayson and the elders for not believing her. After all, it was perfectly normal for them to struggle to accept something so new.

Seeing that Ophelia held no grudges, Grayson felt even more ashamed. "I don’t recognize any of these herbs. How did you know they could cure a fever, Princess?"

"When I was with the Snow Wolf Clan, I heard it from a dying elderly male." Ophelia had used this unnamed member of the Snow Wolf Clan as an excuse so many times that she could now lie without blushing or skipping a beat.

Tyler’s eyes flickered slightly, but his hands didn’t slow down in the slightest as he continued handling the herbs.

"I really was ignorant. It’s just a pity that he’s already dead, otherwise..." Grayson said with a hint of disappointment.

Right now, in order to treat the illnesses as quickly as possible, boiling the herbal medicine didn’t require much strictness. They just needed to soak the herbs for half an hour before boiling them. It only required one person to keep an eye on it to ensure the medicine didn’t burn or boil dry.

Therefore, Ophelia left Grayson completely in charge of the process and went back to rest. Since so many clan members were sick, they needed to brew a large batch to ensure there was enough for everyone.

The Golden Dragon Clan typically stored their water reserves in a dedicated, clean room. As soon as Ophelia approached the stone house, she saw Laxus pacing around the room anxiously.

"What’s wrong, Brother?"

"Our water reserves are dwindling, and the rain outside just won’t stop," Laxus sighed. "I took a few healthy males out to find water, but all the water sources have been contaminated by the rain. Can we really drink those coconuts we just brought back? We’ve never seen these ’coconuts’ before. We shouldn’t touch them carelessly. What if they’re poisonous?"

It would be a tragedy if they didn’t die of thirst, but ended up poisoning the clan to death instead.

"Of course you can drink them." Ophelia picked up a coconut from the corner of the stone house, held it up to her ear, and shook it. "Listen, Brother. You can hear liquid sloshing around inside."

She pulled out a Bone Knife and handed it to Tyler, who was standing nearby. "Tyler, use the Bone Knife to chop off the top third of the coconut."

"Alright."

Tyler was incredibly strong. He effortlessly chopped off the top portion of the coconut. The green husk was sliced away, revealing the clear liquid inside.

Laxus sniffed it. "It has a fresh scent. Can we really drink this water?"

"This is completely sealed, so there are no bacteria or dirt inside. It’s safe to drink. If you don’t believe me, I’ll drink it to show you." Ophelia held the coconut and was about to take a sip.

However, Tyler swiftly raised his hand and downed it in one gulp, not leaving a single drop. Ophelia knew the coconut wasn’t poisonous, so she wasn’t worried.

Laxus, on the other hand, watched him intently. "Well? How is it?"

Tyler’s expression remained perfectly normal. He licked his lips. "It’s sweet."

"Of course it’s sweet. Don’t worry, Brother. It’s definitely not poisonous," Ophelia huffed proudly.

"Alright, alright, I believe you." Laxus shook his head in fond exasperation.

"Brother, distribute these coconuts in a little while," Ophelia instructed. "We don’t have enough to go around freely. Limit it to one a day for each female, and one every two days for each male."

Right now, her farm space was entirely devoted to growing herbs; she didn’t have the time to plant more coconuts. Therefore, they had to use these 3,500 coconuts sparingly.

"Okay, don’t worry about it. I’ll make the arrangements." Laxus rubbed his sister’s soft hair and smiled.

Ever since she returned to the Golden Dragon Clan this time, she had been helping their people, truly shouldering the responsibilities of a Princess. His little sister had grown up.

"You were out in the rain for so long today. I boiled some clean rainwater. You should soak your feet." Tyler bent down, scooped Ophelia up into his arms, and carried her over to the grass nest.

The rainy season had arrived too suddenly, leaving them no time to prepare beds, so everyone had been sleeping in grass nests these past few days. Because females had more delicate skin, they would lay out animal skins in their nests to avoid being scratched by the blades of grass.

After setting Ophelia down, Tyler turned and left the stone house, quickly returning with a basin of hot water. He knelt on one knee and gently picked up Ophelia’s fair, tender little feet, placing them into the stone basin. The warm water instantly enveloped them, sending a wave of comforting heat through her entire body.

"Tyler, you’re so good to me." Ophelia leaned down and nuzzled her forehead against his. "Thank you." She silently thanked him for always standing by her side unconditionally.

A smile touched Tyler’s lips as his calloused fingers slowly massaged her jade-white toes. "There is no need to thank me, Princess. This is what I want to do. I am willing to do anything for you."

"Tyler, you’ll always end up on the losing end if you act like this." It always made her heart ache when he was like this.

Ophelia’s eyes grew hot. She cupped the male’s cheeks and gently pressed her soft lips against his.

Tyler’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He grasped the female’s slender ankle, his touch traveling upward inch by inch, their scorching skin pressing tightly together.

"Princess..."

The two eventually tumbled back into the grass nest, enveloped in a rolling heat. Sweat poured down endlessly.

Ophelia... couldn’t help but arch her back.

Behind her, a scorching chest pressed close. The male’s magnetic voice sounded by her ear.

"P-Princess, Tyler likes you so much."

"Ah..."

Reaching the absolute peak!
