Chapter 599 330: Returning to Blue Star
Upon returning from the Evil Divine Domain, Zhao Rui didn't pause for a moment. His mind immediately focused on the location he had previously marked in a desolate Star Realm.
He teleported back directly.
When the Five Immortals saw Zhao Rui return, they were overjoyed and rushed forward to kneel in greeting.
"There's no need for such formalities. Is everything well here?"
Zhao Rui gestured for them to rise, asking with a smile.
"Divine King, all is as it was..."
The Great Immortal briefed him on everything that had happened in his absence.
Zhao Rui nodded along as he listened. He wasn't particularly invested in these matters, nor did he care much. He had just stopped by casually to check in.
"Very good. You all can settle here. This is a fine Divine Technique; cultivate it well!"
Zhao Rui casually tossed a manual to the Five Immortals.
'Even though he didn't care much, they were his forces, after all. Rewards had to be given, and their power had to be raised.'
After handling these matters, he made arrangements for the Star Realm, instructing the Five Immortals to manage all its affairs on his behalf.
The Five Immortals were both shocked and delighted to hear this.
'They had never imagined that, by some strange twist of fate, they would get the chance to govern an entire Star Realm. This was something they had never even dared to dream of before.'
"Thank you for your blessing, Divine King! We will do everything in our power to serve you. We would brave mountains of blades and seas of fire, and would not shrink from ten thousand deaths."
The Five Immortals quickly knelt and kowtowed in gratitude.
This time, Zhao Rui didn't gesture for them to rise. He glanced at the sky and said calmly, "The rest is up to you."
With that, he vanished from sight in a flash.
Time passes without a trace.
At some unknown time and in some unknown place, a sapphire-blue planet gradually came into Zhao Rui's view. It was wreathed in clouds and mist, brimming with vibrant life.
The environment here was starkly different from the deathly stillness and peril of the Evil Divine Domain, or the vast, desolate expanse of the All Heavens Star Realm.
A familiar aura of life washed over him—the kind of peace that belonged only to his homeland, Blue Star.
Accustomed to witnessing the rise and fall of Star Realms, Zhao Rui felt an almost imperceptible warmth stir beneath his usual indifference.
His figure flashed, piercing through Blue Star's atmosphere and crossing a vast distance to land silently atop a remote mountain peak.
This was an uninhabited, secret realm in the far south of the Pangu Continent. Here, ancient trees reached for the heavens, swirling clouds and mist filled the air, and spiritual springs trickled musically.
It was a rare haven of tranquility for Cultivators, far from the noise of the mortal world and free from any disturbance.
Even Barbarians and Exotic Beasts seldom set foot in this place.
As Zhao Rui walked upon the moss-covered stones, the gentle chirping of forest birds filled his ears. A light breeze drifted past, carrying the fresh scent of plants and soil—a complete departure from the grim and perilous atmosphere of the outer Star Realms.
Zhao Rui slowly closed his eyes, drawing his Divine Power completely inward. Not the slightest trace leaked out; his majestic aura vanished entirely, leaving him indistinguishable from an ordinary, aloof young man.
He focused on sensing Blue Star's Laws of Heaven and Earth. Compared to the Divine Domains of the outer realms, the Spiritual Power here was incredibly dense, and the Laws themselves were much gentler.
And yet, this seemingly ordinary planet was the one that held countless ties to the fallen Ancient Divine Court.
'His cultivation had once progressed by leaps and bounds. With the aid of his system, he had constantly challenged those beyond his level, slain Demon Beasts, and battled mighty foes.'
'He had slain evil gods, defeated Divine Venerables, and roamed the outer realms unopposed. Yet, the more powerful he became, the more he could sense that there was something extraordinary about Blue Star.'
'This planet seemed to exist in the mortal realm, yet it felt as if it were protected by an unseen power. More importantly, it held the ultimate mystery of his bloodline and his entire cultivation journey.'
He waved his hand, releasing a stream of True Qi that instantly carved a nearby boulder into a stone table and stools.
Zhao Rui sat down on one of the stone stools. He raised his eyes to the heavens, his gaze seeming to pierce through the clouds and into the endless sea of stars beyond.
