Chapter 772: The Universe Plane’s Backlash

"Build them away from our territory?" Nash fell into deep thought, repeating Teal’s words.

Building a dimensional-scale dark gate far away had many downsides. It was hard to manage, unprotected by their full force, full of uncertainties, and less beneficial overall.

However, compared to grasping at straws and trying to catch up with the seven major alliances, it was nothing. Even if they built a castrated version of a dimensional-scale dark gate, it was still better than waiting for the others to steamroll them.

"Let’s go with it. Put the expedition on hold for now."

Having gone on multiple expeditions, they already had a complete collection of materials to build a dimensional-scale dark gate.

"What about the location, Lord Nash? Have you thought about where to build it?"

"Hmm, the remaining Forbidden Domains with a dimensional-scale teleportation array," Nash said with a smile.

A dimensional-scale teleportation array as a relay point would mitigate all the downsides of building a dimensional-scale dark gate away from their territory. Whether to retreat, attack, reinforce, or resupply, they only needed to spend some energy to teleport.

"This... What about the other major alliances? Would they object?" Teal felt a little nervous.

Although many Forbidden Domains existed, only twelve contained a dimensional-scale teleportation array.

"Why not? If the Grand Race Sovereign Alliance could claim two, why can’t we?"

Due to their large numbers, the Grand Race Sovereign Alliance had conquered two dimensional-scale teleportation arrays as their territory. Since they could use them as their base, why couldn’t he use one as an outpost?

"Alright, we can just crush them if they dare to set their eyes on it." Teal gritted his teeth and followed Nash’s idea. With the massive number of Eternal Military Outposts in their arsenal, no one among the major alliances should be able to match them in defense.

"Good. You can arrange everything. I still need to go back to the Eternal Time Server to continue my work." Nash said, returning.

The Mind Hive Module System was more important than anything else. Building the dimensional-scale dark gate would only let them catch up to the seven major alliances, while this new module could let them potentially overtake them.

---

With Nash’s word, the Eternal Star Alliance began to move. Mobilizing 50,000 Eternal Military Outposts, they locked onto the remaining Forbidden Domain, then teleported in using the dimensional-scale teleportation array.

Noticing the large fluctuation in space, the scouts watching the Eternal Star Alliance’s movements quickly traced the ripples and located a large army ready to tear through a Forbidden Domain.

"The Eternal Star Alliance moves as fast as ever..." Escanor, the leader of the Grand Race Sovereign Alliance, muttered with a smile.

"Leader, we have already chosen one of the Forbidden Domains. Although it’s inferior to the Eternal Star Alliance’s, the place is larger than the others and has above-standard space stability."

To build a dimensional-scale dark gate, space stability was the most important factor. It determined how big they could build, reinforce, and expand the place.

"Good, mobilize all the available forces we have. We can’t lag behind the Eternal Star Alliance. Although we don’t have those miraculous military outposts, we have people!" Escanor smiled.

The Grand Race Sovereign Alliance might not be the best in other areas compared to the other nine major alliances, but their numbers were at least ten times those of the others.

Furthermore, having already conquered two Forbidden Domains, conquering another one was relatively easy.

The God Emperor Knight Alliance was also not to be outdone. Watching the two mobilize their forces, they also got to work and began their clearing operation.

They might be the weakest among the major alliances, but their stability was beyond doubt. Instead of choosing a Forbidden Domain with greater uncertainties, they picked one they were 100% confident they could conquer, hold, and defend.

As the last rung on the ladder, they didn’t need to chase or overtake. They just needed to hold their position and stabilize it until one of the major alliances fell.

Meanwhile, as the three new major alliances moved, the remaining seven major alliances remained unconcerned. Besides sending some scouts to keep an eye on them, they didn’t take further action. Instead, after stabilizing the dimensional-scale dark gate, they began to build another one.

For them, it didn’t matter what kind of moves the three new major alliances made. What they needed to do now was widen the gap further until they left all the others aside. Like breeding sheep and pigs, as long as they were strong enough, all the others would be nothing more than fodder.

---

Soon, in less than a month, 50,000 Eternal Military Outposts mowed the Forbidden Domain down to the ground.

No matter how many Tier 9 dark beasts attacked, the bombardment from tens of thousands of Eternal Military Outposts turned them to dust.

Along the way, even the weaker dark beasts were not spared. With the support of countless S- to SSS-class Tier 8 battleships, everything was like grass waiting to be reaped.

After cleaning the place until it was spotless, they left 30,000 Eternal Military Outposts to guard it, while directing the remaining outposts to clear the surrounding domain areas.

Afterward, without any danger left, the scientists and professionals working in Eternal Time Server 02 temporarily set aside their work and went to the forbidden domain to collect data to build the dimensional-scale dark gate.

The dimensional-scale dark gate had a structure similar to a normal dark gate. What they needed to pay attention to was the ratio, scale, density, and, more importantly, the stress limit of the space nodes.

Activating a dimensional-scale dark gate was basically opening the floodgates to the Chaotic Void. If they weren’t careful, the place could rupture, sending them into a permanent space exile.

This was also the reason the other major alliances could only build dimensional-scale dark gates one at a time. It wasn’t that they lacked the capacity to build a few simultaneously, but that the Void Administrator only permitted them to build a limited number at a time.

Although the permitted number should have been higher, if some alliances built 2 while another could only build 1, it would cause an imbalance. Thus, instead of fighting over it, there was an unwritten rule that they could only build one dimensional-scale dark gate at a time.

Soon, after analyzing all the data from the Forbidden Domain, including all the space nodes, terrain, energy distribution, wild planets, stars, and other features inside, they returned to Eternal Time Server 02 to deduce and calculate the blueprint for the dimensional-scale dark gate.

---

A month later, with time accelerated to 100,000 times, it didn’t take them long to calculate the entire design.

After transferring the plans to Teal to handle, they returned to deducing the Eternal Star Dimensional Array Formation.

Building the dimensional-scale dark gate was a monumental work. Just laying the foundation alone would take a few years if they were efficient. In the meantime, while they weren’t needed there, they might as well finish deducing the Eternal Star Dimensional Array Formation first.

The reason it had taken so long, and why they still weren’t finished, was that what they were building was not just a Dimensional Array formation that could defend and attack, but a true eternal formation that could carry their legacy!

This formation would encapsulate the power of will, adopting a powerful defense capable of withstanding a Tier 10 powerhouse’s attack. Since the barrier of will could only protect a single person, Nash thought of amplifying the scale of the barrier using an array.

Usually, this would be almost impossible, as it already touched upon the rules of the universe plane, much less with the power of will still foreign to it.

However, with his genetic ability, Nash could identify the major runic nodes of the power of will. If they could incorporate them into the array formation, even if it couldn’t fully inherit the defensive power of the barrier of will, it would still be enough to give it a massive enhancement.

Besides incorporating the defensive power of will, they also hoped to incorporate its amplification, growth, and evolution properties. Of course, being too greedy was the shortcut to failure. Thus, they only focused on the defensive end for the moment.

Another thing they wanted to integrate with the array was the dimensional-scale teleportation array embedded in the Forbidden Domain. Since it could transfer others to another place, why couldn’t it do the same for itself?

By the time the Eternal Star Dimensional Array Formation was built, they would have a defensive barrier capable of withstanding a bombardment from any number of Tier 9 dark beasts. If worst came to worst and they were targeted by a Tier 10 dark beast, they could still withstand the first salvo and initiate the dimensional teleportation array formation to evacuate their entire territory.

Thinking of such a godly formation, the scientists and professionals working in Eternal Time Server 02 no longer paid attention to the dimensional-scale dark gate and began working.

---

Half a year later, while the entire alliance was busy, Nash was working tirelessly in his runic space at millions of times the magnitude, with undivided attention.

With the last few runic patterns connecting into a perfect closed circle, and various runic commands and runic programs converging into one whole, the chains that locked the universe plane’s rules seemed to tremble and crack.

BAAANG!

The instant the Mind Hive Module finished its formation, Nash felt the malice and backlash of the universe plane.

"I—"
