I Can Evolve Spirit Elementals
Chapter 55: A Moment to Grow
Chapter 55: Chapter 55: A Moment to Grow
Damon opened one of the storage bags.
Then dumped the contents onto the floor.
Snacks.
Lots of snacks.
Freya’s eyes immediately lit up.
"Kyu!"
The fox vanished from his arms so fast Damon almost thought she had teleported.
"Hahaha!"
"There she goes."
Freya attacked the pile without hesitation.
One snack.
Then another.
Then another.
Her tails wagged wildly with pure happiness.
Damon sat back and watched.
A warm smile resting on his face.
This was nice.
After everything they had gone through.
The battles, the dangers, the near deaths.
Moments like this felt valuable... very valuable.
Damon stretched his body.
Crack.
Crack.
Every movement felt powerful, like his muscles almost itched.
He wanted to fight. To test himself and see how far he had grown.
Then suddenly... His smile froze.
A second pulse surged through him.
Different from Freya’s.
Yet equally familiar.
Damon’s eyes widened.
The second core trembled again.
And this time...
The feedback wasn’t coming from Freya.
It was coming from someone else.
Sylphie.
The second surge didn’t leave Damon waiting for long.
A gentle gust swept through the treasure chamber.
The wind scattered loose dust across the floor and stirred his hair slightly.
Damon immediately turned.
A smile appeared on his face.
"Sylphie."
A happy chirp echoed through the chamber.
The next moment, a small figure burst out from his second core.
Whoosh!
Sylphie flew into the air excitedly.
She circled around him once.
Then twice.
Then a third time.
As though she couldn’t wait to show off.
Damon quickly noticed the difference.
She had grown.
Not just a little.
Her body was larger and more refined now.
The soft feathers covering her body carried a faint silver sheen beneath their emerald color.
Her wingspan had expanded considerably.
Most importantly...
She now possessed another pair of wings.
Four beautiful wings spread behind her.
The additional pair fit her perfectly, making her look far more majestic than before.
She still looked cute.
That hadn’t changed.
But now there was something else mixed into that appearance.
Grace.
Power.
A quiet nobility.
The tiny Gale Seed from before was nowhere to be seen.
Now she truly resembled a young sovereign of the skies.
Sylphie chirped proudly.
Then she spread all four wings.
The surrounding wind instantly responded.
The air flowed around her naturally.
Not violently.
Not forcefully.
It simply obeyed.
As though she belonged to it.
Damon watched with genuine admiration.
"Someone’s showing off today."
Sylphie chirped again.
This time even louder.
Clearly proud of herself.
"Haha."
"I get it."
"You’ve grown."
Satisfied, she flew another lap around him.
Yet something else caught Damon’s attention.
Silence.
Complete silence.
Despite her speed, he couldn’t hear her movement.
Not even the faintest flap of wings.
It was as though the wind itself carried her.
The realization made him even more excited.
His connection with the wind element had grown tremendously after their contract.
Now that growth felt even clearer.
When Sylphie moved, he could almost feel how the air shifted around her.
How the currents welcomed her.
How the wind concealed her presence.
It was an incredible feeling.
Finally, Damon stretched out his arm.
Sylphie immediately landed on it.
Perfectly.
As if she had practiced it countless times.
Damon gently stroked her feathers.
They felt softer than before.
Sylphie closed her eyes happily.
"You did well."
A pleased chirp answered him.
Honestly, Damon hadn’t expected her growth to be this fast.
Of course, the treasure chamber had helped.
The endless wind ores.
The wind fruits.
The nurturing effect of the second core.
And...
The generous contributions from the Elemental Users.
His smile widened.
"Those people really are kind."
"They’ve been supporting your growth from the very beginning."
Sylphie tilted her head.
Freya immediately barked in agreement.
Damon laughed.
"Exactly."
"Without their donations, things would’ve been much slower."
The two spirits clearly didn’t understand the joke.
But they happily agreed anyway.
That was enough.
Damon pulled out another storage bag.
The moment he opened it, both spirits looked over.
"You two earned this."
Freya practically teleported beside him.
Sylphie followed with a much calmer pace.
Though her eyes were just as bright.
Soon both spirits were enjoying their rewards.
Freya attacked the snacks like they were enemies.
Sylphie ate far more gently.
Watching them together brought an unexpected warmth to Damon’s chest.
Freya.
Sylphie.
Somehow these two had become the closest companions he had in this world.
A small smile appeared on his face.
Back on Earth...
He had never really been close to anyone.
No girlfriend.
No grand romance.
Just work.
Stress.
And endless routines.
Now things were different.
Freya suddenly looked up.
Sylphie did too.
Both immediately abandoned their snacks.
Damon blinked.
"Hm?"
The two spirits stared at him worriedly.
Realization quickly dawned on him.
Their connection had become stronger again.
They had probably sensed his thoughts.
Damon chuckled.
"I’m fine."
"Stop looking at me like that."
Freya hesitated.
Sylphie chirped softly.
"I’m serious."
"You two worry too much."
Only then did they return to their snacks.
Damon shook his head.
"They’re definitely spoiled."
Freya barked proudly.
As if taking it as a compliment.
After resting a little longer, Damon stood up.
The moment he moved, excitement returned to his eyes.
His body felt incredible.
Power flowed through every part of him.
He had gained too much during his stay here.
And honestly...
He wanted to move.
He wanted to fight.
To test himself.
Damon slowly exhaled.
Then he vanished.
Whoosh.
A moment later he appeared across the chamber.
Not only was he faster.
He was quieter... Much quieter.
He moved again.
And again.
His figure flashed across the room.
Yet barely any sound followed.
Damon couldn’t help smiling.
The traits he gained from Sylphie were terrifying.
The ability to move with almost no sound.
No obvious air disturbance.
No clear presence.
Combined with the speed Freya had given him...
The result was absurd.
He stopped and immediately launched forward again.
This time faster.
His body cut through the air.
Yet the room remained silent.
"Ridiculous."
And he loved it.
