"Didn’t you just shower today?" Su Wan slapped her forehead. ’I’m sure I’m not misremembering.’ Thinking Lu Zhengchuan was acting strange, she instinctively glanced back, only to see the tent in his military pants.

Su Wan had experienced his magnificence before, and she instantly realized what was happening. Her cheeks immediately flushed red.

"Ahem, you should go take that shower."

Su Wan immediately lay back down, her back to him.

Lu Zhengchuan didn’t leave. Instead, he said out of the blue, "Wanwan, we have a new bed."

"Yes, the old bed was moved to the spare room. Now when we have guests, we can put them up in the guest room," Su Wan replied instinctively.

She secretly fanned her cheeks, trying to cool the heat rising in her body.

Lu Zhengchuan kicked the bed frame with his foot. "I want to see how sturdy this bed is."

Su Wan was a little bewildered and replied automatically, "Huh? How are you going to test how sturdy the bed is in the middle of the night? Didn’t you step on it when it was delivered?"

Lu Zhengchuan braced his hands on either side of her, his hot breath grazing her cheek and the shell of her ear. His voice was husky. "Wanwan, how do you think we should test if the bed is sturdy?"

It slowly dawned on Su Wan what he meant. She blushed from head to toe, her face and neck flushing crimson, and her breathing quickened.

Especially when she couldn’t help but turn and meet his gaze. His fiery eyes made her tense up instinctively, and she quickly pushed a hand against his chest. "What... what are you doing?"

Lu Zhengchuan said with a smile, "Wanwan, you’re so beautiful."

Su Wan fought against her body’s reaction—her racing heart—and replied bluntly, completely killing the mood, "Yes, I know."

She even gave Lu Zhengchuan a solemn nod.

Their eyes met, and Su Wan gestured with hers for him to get off her. "Weren’t you going to take a shower? Why don’t you go?"

"Wanwan, with you here, I’d rather shower with you."

Su Wan was kissed into a daze. Her hands were pressed between their chests. Her fingers rested below Lu Zhengchuan’s neck, the pads of her fingers feeling the sweat-slickened veins pulsing along with the movement of his Adam’s apple.

Su Wan felt unbearably hot. She tried to push him away, but he caught her hands.

She tried to open her mouth to speak, but his tongue kept plundering it. Her breathing grew ragged, and she couldn’t form a single clear word. When she turned her head away, Lu Zhengchuan’s lips pursued hers like a puppy, leaving them instantly wet and sensual.

"Stop... that’s enough..."

Su Wan finally found a chance to regain her voice, holding Lu Zhengchuan’s chest to keep him from pressing closer.
