I Became the Eye Candy: Four Bigshots Claimed to be My Dad?

Chapter 672: The Island’s Exquisite Overlord

  • Next Chapter

The days and months flew by, and time raced on.

Birds soared through the sky and fish swam in the deep, as the ocean waves rolled in.

Years passed in the blink of an eye. It was now spring.

On an island surrounded by a vast ocean, colorful birds circled overhead. A small, fluffy white monkey hopped and skipped along the seaside rocks.

Its gaze was fixed on the sea below the reef, where waves crashed against the rocks, sending spray a dozen meters into the air.

As time went on, the little monkey grew increasingly anxious, letting out restless squeaks.

BOOM!

A tremendous explosion erupted.

The very rock the little monkey had been standing on just a moment before suddenly exploded. With a great RUMBLE, chunks of stone from the edge broke off and tumbled down.

SQUEAK SQUEAK SQUEAK!

As if sensing the danger, the little monkey had already scampered to a safe distance. It stared in shock at the huge chunk now missing from the rock formation, craning its neck to watch the rubble continuously RATTLE into the sea.

SQUEAK!

A hand reached up from below. Seeing it, the little monkey hurriedly grabbed the pale, delicate hand with its tiny paw.

Following that, a stunningly beautiful face emerged. Droplets of water clung to her skin, and hair as black as ink cascaded down her back. Her skin was like ice and jade—impossibly fair and so delicate it looked as if it could be broken by a mere touch.

Her eyes and brows seemed to be a divine masterpiece, a beauty almost inhuman.

"Ye Qianning!"

A furious roar echoed from nearby.

The woman, who had been as still and graceful as a painting just a moment ago, vaulted up onto the rocks. In a flash, she vanished.

The little monkey chittered in a flustered panic, at a complete loss. Finally, it squeezed its eyes shut and leaped off the rock.

The old Taoist heard the commotion and rushed over, but the rocks were empty. He stared at the massive gap, his heart aching. "If I let you carry on like this, you’ll destroy this entire island!"

His island had once been much larger. But ever since that little brat’s injuries had fully healed three years ago, this side of the island had been shrinking day by day.

After three years, the island was half its original size.

In the center of the island stood a vast courtyard.

The courtyard was filled with all kinds of blooming flowers. They looked beautiful, but in reality, every single plant was either a gut-rotting poison or a peerless medicinal herb.

Inside a room, Ye Qianning had already changed her clothes and dried her hair with her Inner Strength.

Her hair was unbound as she sat in a wooden chair, staring at her hands.

’I did it. The technique I painstakingly practiced for three years... I’ve finally mastered it.’

The martial art she practiced was incredibly brutish and overbearing. The harder an object, the more trivial it became in her hands.

It wasn’t a matter of using softness to overcome hardness; in the face of absolute power, everything else was simply nothing.

SQUEAK SQUEAK SQUEAK! Soaking wet, the little monkey ran inside, seemingly complaining to its master.

"Jumped into the sea again, did you?"

The little monkey nodded.

"That old windbag is all thunder and no rain. He wouldn’t have skinned you alive even if he’d seen you."

The little monkey didn’t believe her. ’Then why did *you* run?’

"...I was worried I’d hurt the old man. This technique is hard to control. It would be bad if one slip of my hand caved his skull in."

"COUGH, COUGH, COUGH, COUGH, COUGH!"

The moment Ye Qianning’s words fell, a series of harsh coughs came from the doorway. She immediately shot to her feet.

"Don’t even think about running, you little brat!" an angry voice boomed as a figure appeared.

Seeing there was no escape, Ye Qianning decided she might as well face the music, and she lazily leaned back in her chair.

The little monkey was instantly terrified and dove behind Ye Qianning, squatting on the ground with its paws clamped over its head.

"..."

Ye Qianning glanced back, speechless. The monkey’s practiced, fearful movements were pitiable; it looked just like a partner in crime who had been caught red-handed.

The old Taoist stormed in, fuming. But when he raised his eyes and saw Ye Qianning’s peerless face, his breath caught in his throat... and his steps faltered.
