I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s
Chapter 1323 - 1322: You Are Qingyu’s Representative
Chapter 1323: Chapter 1322: You Are Qingyu’s Representative
The other person glanced over and said, "People from Qingyu are here—do you know any of them? I’m afraid the only one you’d recognize is that inheritor, and I heard this time they’re staying back to guard the sect and didn’t come."
That’s true, the people from Qingyu are all way too low‑key. In this circle, any news spreads fast, but you barely ever hear anything about the Qingyu people. Their photos almost never circulate either. On top of that, in recent years Beisitian and the others have rarely attended events, so with Tian Zhi not here, there really aren’t many people who know Beisitian.
The elder did know Beisitian; he’d seen her once at a difficult‑case medical exchange. That time they really had no way out, so the Mystic Doctor Association stepped in and invited Beisitian.
He remembered Beisitian so clearly partly because she’s the head of Qingyu, partly because she’s so young, and also because after she arrived, she needed only three days to unravel what everyone had thought was an intractable case and wake the patient.
When he saw that the person his little apprentice was greeting was actually Beisitian, the elder was very surprised. At the time he’d figured they’d be rejected anyway and hadn’t taken it seriously, yet unexpectedly she agreed, and even sat at the same table with them for dinner in the hall.
Even though Beisitian’s initial impression was very gentle, in the elder’s mind, someone this young with such skill and such status must be inwardly extremely proud. Who would have thought she spoke mildly, wasn’t fussy about formalities, and was truly the same inside and out. That calm, water‑like, composed and elegant temperament and essence are something you simply can’t fake.
Once he’d interacted with Beisitian, even just a brief contact was enough to change the elder’s view of her. Otherwise, he would rather pretend he didn’t know Beisitian than talk to someone arrogant and lacking humility—after all, he’s getting on in years.
Beside him, Zhang Qiuying stuck out her tongue at Beisitian. "My master hardly ever praises anyone, especially young people. In my master’s eyes, all young people are too flighty. I call that a generation gap!"
Beisitian gave a faint smile. "Being a bit lively is good too."
Zhang Qiuying giggled. "Master, you heard that? Sister Sitian thinks so too. Ah, I’m stuffed. How about we go stroll around the garden later?"
This time Beisitian turned her down. "We still have things to do later. Let’s go for a walk when we have time."
Zhang Qiuying pouted. "It’s rare to meet girls like Sister Sitian and Yu Zhu, who are so pretty but not the least bit fake. If you don’t go, I’ll be so bored."
She really did want Beisitian and the others to come along, but she didn’t want to force them because of her. After that she added, "Then it’s settled, Sister Sitian—when we have time, we’ll go hang out together again."
Beisitian nodded.
Zhang Qiuying tugged Liu Yuzhu’s arm. "Yu Zhu, we live close by. Come find me when you have time so we can hang out. The two of us can study and improve together, and maybe then my master will stop saying I’m too bouncy."
Liu Yuzhu glanced at Beisitian and, seeing she wasn’t obviously displeased, nodded. She rarely had female friends around her own age, so she was a bit hesitant about Zhang Qiuying’s friendliness.
The whole point of the exchange is mutual improvement. As long as Liu Yuzhu keeps her guard up, Beisitian won’t interfere with who she interacts with—everyone has their own social circle.
"If there’s nothing else, go get ready. Tonight the exchange officially kicks off, and this time you’re our representative." Beisitian said softly to Liu Yuzhu.
