I Became a Medical Genius in the 80s
Chapter 1121 - 1120: Irrelevant People
Chapter 1121: Chapter 1120: Irrelevant People
A person can have many interests and hobbies, but the degree of their passion and expertise varies. No matter how much energy one has, it’s hard to focus on more than two things at the same time.
Just a moment ago, he saw in Jing Yuansi’s eyes her extreme love for painting, similar to how he likes being a Mystic Doctor. But if that’s the case, what kind of attitude does she have toward being a Mystic Doctor?
Luo Yirui, lost in thought, didn’t notice. The Little Fatty beside him saw the look on Jing Yuansi’s face, showing a regretful expression. Jing Yuansi’s talent was significantly higher than his, and the reason she was here was because her heart wasn’t in being a Mystic Doctor at all.
A person without an interest to sustain them, without a sense of mission and responsibility—no matter how gifted they are—is of no use.
The Little Fatty sighed inwardly.
Until after lunch, the Nie Family had not appeared. The people from the Ancient Families maintained a tacit silence, while those from the Modern Families were discussing and speculating.
At this moment, Luo Yirui was happily curled up beside his mother, taking a nap. He and his three younger sisters had not slept with their parents since they were three years old, and he missed this feeling. Indeed, sleeping by his mother’s side gave him the greatest sense of security.
After the nap, Luo Yirui felt refreshed. A short noon nap really does wonders.
After waking up, Beisitian took Luo Yirui for a walk around the castle. They hadn’t properly toured this castle yet, nor had anyone shown them around.
"I remember there’s a drinks room on the second floor. Let’s go there for some juice," Beisitian said.
Luo Yirui had no objections and walked with his mother toward the drinks room.
The drinks room was on the other side of where they were staying. They walked past a hall with a spiral staircase and asked a servant before finding the location of the drinks room.
The drinks room was in a side hall, not large, and there weren’t many people inside. The overall tone was warm, slightly dim.
When Beisitian and Luo Yirui entered, they found that the scattered people inside were all from the Modern Families.
They sat by the window. Beisitian ordered a pot of jasmine tea and got Luo Yirui a cup of kumquat lemon and a plate of snacks. The mother and son rarely enjoyed an afternoon together.
There was no one around. Luo Yirui looked up and couldn’t find any surveillance cameras or anything, so he asked in a low voice, "Mom, what exactly are we here for?"
Beisitian picked up a piece of pastry and stuffed it into his mouth, smiling, "Attending an invited garden party."
Luo Yirui wanted to say more when he saw a chubby figure running over. Turning his head, he saw it was the Little Fatty.
"Hello, Auntie!" the Little Fatty greeted Beisitian.
Beisitian smiled and nodded, not stopping them from playing together.
"Have you finished eating? If you’re done, I’ll take you to a fun place!" the Little Fatty said excitedly.
"What fun place?" Luo Yirui shoved the last piece of pastry into his mouth and took a sip of kumquat lemon, just about to get up when he saw a graceful figure approaching in his peripheral vision.
"Zu Yan!"
The person stood a few meters away and did not come closer, only coldly calling the Little Fatty’s name.
The Little Fatty froze and turned around.
Luo Yirui looked over and recalled that this woman was the one who was with the Little Fatty on the first day they arrived at the castle. She must be his mother.
"Let’s go, don’t spend time with irrelevant people," the woman looked at Beisitian and Luo Yirui with a faint glance.
