Chapter 1965: Chapter 1055: What Do You Mean by [Magic] Divine Position Is With You?

Minos Floating City, Core Tower,

This is where the concentration of magical power is highest in the Floating City, where the dense magic is transformed into colorless ribbons, swirling around the pillars of this room.

Meanwhile, Magic Intelligent Life Minos constantly monitors the entire Core Tower, enveloping the whole tower in the bright glow of magic power, preventing any corner from falling into shadow.

Ever since Stephens first encountered that mysterious shadow in Jonas City, the second Councilman has caught a glimpse of it several times afterward.

Unfortunately, as before, Stephens still couldn’t leave behind even a trace of the shadow.

It vanished without a trace, not even leaving a hint of its presence.

It’s important to realize that Stephens is a Great Arcanist, standing at the pinnacle of mages in Gaia World, with countless means at his disposal.

Yet, in the brief encounters, none of the countless methods Stephens employed had any effect on the shadow.

Stephens was forced to believe that this mysterious shadow might truly be immune to magic power.

Ordinary individuals might manage to overpower the influence of magic through sheer formidable strength.

However, with Stephens’s might, even the Demon Prince Demogorgon couldn’t ignore the magic he wielded.

Other powerful divine forces likely couldn’t achieve such a feat either.

Moreover, Stephens hadn’t sensed any immensely powerful presence from within that shadow.

This kept Stephens’s brows furrowed with some anxiety.

A moment later, two seats before Stephens lit up.

Subsequently, the magical phantoms of Lis and Tarinda appeared upon the seats.

"Such an important matter, and Osiris still hasn’t returned?"

Tarinda glanced at the empty chair in the center, shaking her head with some helplessness.

The first Councilman of the association was truly elusive, without any influence except when incredibly important matters arose within the association.

Upon receiving Stephens’s message, Tarinda and Lis promptly responded.

After all, this matter happened at the core of the Pan Continent Mage Association, within Jonas City.

If anything went wrong here, it would greatly affect the entire association.

Moreover, according to the intelligence Stephens sent over, the matter seemed exceedingly enigmatic, even he, the second Councilman, had no good solution.

Under such circumstances, both Tarinda and Lis set aside their tasks to immediately discuss the issue through the magic phantom.

If the situation became more urgent, both Tarinda and Lis would have to return directly.

Therefore, Tarinda initially thought Osiris would appear.

But upon seeing, his seat remained empty.

"Perhaps the first Councilman considers this matter unimportant?"

Lis said with a smile.

He had once met Osiris, an exceedingly mysterious and powerful being.

During their first encounter, Lis felt entirely unable to see through the first Councilman.

However, it was evidently clear that Osiris’s strength far exceeded his own.

Equally, the secrets he held surpassed Lis’s imagination.

The clues about the Magic Net Goddess Mistra and the Divine Position of Magic were given to him by Osiris.

It could be said without Osiris, Lis could hardly obtain the Divine Position of Magic.

"Who knows?"

Tarinda reclined slightly in her chair, rubbing her forehead.

She had recently been stationed at the center of the Endless Sea, the region connecting Saltwater Swamp and Gaia World.

Though she commanded Nibo Floating City, the pressure she bore was immense.

After all, on that battlefield, several beings with powerful divine strength and countless incarnations of divine spirits had gathered.

Tarinda had diligently guarded that battleground, showing signs of fatigue.

"But immunity to magic’s influence is something I’ve never heard of before."

"Yet the fact remains."

Stephens shook his head slightly, speaking seriously:

"We all know there are many situations that can result in phenomena of magic immunity."

"However, the vast majority have a limit to what they can withstand. At least among the methods I’m familiar with, none can seal or, in other words, render immune the magic I personally use."

"During this period, I’ve also researched many related records but haven’t found any similar discoveries."

"Moreover, that shadow continuously targets association members, clearly not a naturally occurring entity, suspiciously manipulated by someone or a deity behind the scenes."

"If not dealt with properly, the association may face an even greater threat."

"With that said, if Stephens you encountered such a shadow attack, would you be unable to avoid being devoured?"

Tarinda paused in silence before asking directly.

"Before being devoured by the shadow, I should be able to leave through space transmission."

"During previous encounters, mages devoured by the shadow could use magic normally to counterattack, which also proves it shouldn’t be limiting the use of magic, but rather immune to its effects."

Stephens looked at Tarinda, pondering for a moment before speaking.

"However, in situations capable of using space transmission and similar spells, the mages within the association are scarce, meaning the shadow poses a significant threat to the majority of the association members."

Lis lightly tapped the table, contemplating as he spoke.
