Ten minutes later, the Golden Mouse finally stopped.

Ahead of them was a huge cave entrance hidden between several mountains. The entrance was dark and a faint cold wind was blowing out from inside.

The Golden Mouse looked at the cave nervously.

"Senior, that bull lives deep inside this cave," it said. Then it looked around in confusion. "But something is strange. By now, it should have come out to attack us. Why isn’t it here?"

Mo Yuan also frowned.

Peak Realm beasts did not possess Origin Sense like human cultivators. Because of that, they mainly relied on their powerful senses, such as their hearing and smell, to detect enemies.

They were already this close to the bull’s territory, yet there was still no movement.

It was indeed strange, then the Golden Mouse turned toward Mo Yuan.

"Senior, what should we do now?"

Mo Yuan remained patient and continued searching.

When his Origin Sense reached around 1,300 meters underground, he suddenly sensed something strange.

His expression changed.

Deep beneath the earth was a strange object similar to the one he had obtained from David before.

And there was not just one, there were many of them gathered underground.

There was no sign of the bull.

The cave was much larger than he had expected. It stretched deep into the mountain, winding through the darkness.

Then more.

The cave continued forward for a long distance before finally reaching an end.

There was nothing there.

’Strange, where is the bull that this mouse was talking about?’

Mo Yuan became suspicious.

’Could this mouse be lying to me?’

But when he glanced at the Golden Mouse, he saw its nervous expression and trembling body.

It clearly looked terrified of the bull.

The Golden Mouse stared at the direction where Mo Yuan had disappeared.

Its little body trembled.

"I knew it!"

Without wasting another second, it turned around and ran.

Its tiny legs moved as fast as they could as it desperately escaped from the area.

Meanwhile, a massive black bull slowly appeared near the cave.

It was only about two meters tall but its entire body was covered in pitch-black fur. Its eyes were cold and a faint dark aura surrounded its body.

The Shadow Bull looked toward the direction where Mo Yuan had been sent flying.

It let out a low snort.

"Hmph."

It seemed to believe that the human had already died from that attack.

Without giving the matter another thought, it turned around and slowly walked back into the cave.

On the other side, the Golden Mouse continued running.

After a while, it noticed something strange.

The Shadow Bull had not chased after it, then the Golden Mouse finally slowed down and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thankfully, that terrifying bull didn’t come after me."

Then its eyes suddenly began shining.

It activated its Treasure Finder Talent and looked toward the direction where Mo Yuan had been sent flying.

A bright light appeared in its vision.

The Golden Mouse’s eyes widened.

’That human is probably dead.’

A greedy smile slowly appeared on its face.

’That means his treasure belongs to this king now!’

The mouse stopped running.

After thinking for a moment, it turned around and began moving toward Mo Yuan’s location.

"Such a good opportunity, how could this king waste it?"

Five minutes later, the Golden Mouse finally reached the place where Mo Yuan had been sent flying.

The entire area was destroyed. Trees had been crushed, the ground was cracked and a huge trail of destruction stretched through the forest.

The Golden Mouse looked at the ruined land and smiled proudly.

"I told you multiple times that the bull was different but you didn’t listen," it said, shaking its head. "Humans really are dumb."

"Hehe, now let this king take your treasure!"

The Golden Mouse excitedly ran forward, searching for Mo Yuan’s body. However, when it finally reached the end of the destroyed area, its footsteps suddenly stopped.

Mo Yuan was was sitting cross-legged on the ground as if nothing had happened.

His clothes were torn and covered in dust but there was not even a drop of blood on his body.

The Golden Mouse froze.

"Impossible..."

Before it could react, Mo Yuan slowly opened his eyes.

He looked directly at the Golden Mouse and smiled.

"Oh? So you think I’m dumb?"

The Golden Mouse’s eyes instantly widened.

Its tiny body stiffened completely and for a moment, the entire forest became silent.

The Golden Mouse stared at Mo Yuan in horror.

"Y-You..."

Mo Yuan continued smiling.

The Golden Mouse suddenly felt a chill run down its spine.
