Chapter 952 - 465: Gauss Returning the Favor

There was no need to elaborate on the improvement in his strength; he began to look through the Treasures in his Storage Bracelet.

First were the four Dragon Corpses lying quietly inside the bracelet. These Dragon Corpses were as fresh as if they had just died. The inside of the Storage Bracelet did not have the conditions for decay. Everything would be locked in the exact state it was in the moment it was placed inside. This was the main reason Gauss had the audacity to borrow it from President Monroe for a while longer. If the Dragon Corpses were placed in an ordinary Storage Space or the outside world, it wouldn’t be long before much of the flesh, blood, and organs would rot and spoil. In the end, perhaps only materials like some Dragon Scales, dragon teeth, and dragon horns could be preserved.

"How should I use them?" Sitting alone in the tent, Gauss fell into deep thought.

The simplest and most straightforward approach would be to sell them whole. The value of a true dragon was extremely high. From the dragon skin and Dragon Scales to the dragon bones, Dragon Blood, and dragon meat, almost every organ and tissue possessed considerable value. Whether dissected as ingredients for special potions or crafted into equipment and Armor, they were excellent materials. Besides that, there was also research value. Some high-level Casters would gladly purchase the corpse of a true dragon hatchling as research material. Even though their research value as corpses was greatly discounted compared to a live dragon, it still far exceeded that of Demon materials of the same Level.

Although he knew the Guild was investing in and cultivating his potential, he had indeed enjoyed privileges that other ordinary Adventurers could not. Therefore, Gauss planned to first sell an entire Dragon Corpse to the official Adventurer’s Guild. Firstly, this was out of a desire to return the favor. His ability to obtain these four true dragon hatchlings, aside from his personal efforts, was crucially due to the commission intelligence and precious items provided by the Guild. The item support was especially vital. Without the Cage of Silence and the Storage Bracelet, he couldn’t have successfully killed the true dragons, much less brought all their corpse materials back intact. Secondly, selling to the Guild was the easiest approach. The price offered by the Guild might not be the highest, but it would definitely be fair. More importantly, he could use this opportunity to exchange for many resources and items he currently needed.

Take the large Storage Bracelet on his wrist, for example. He couldn’t brazenly borrow it forever. If he wanted to buy one, it would be quite a strain with his current cash flow, and he would have to wait in line. The crafting and forging of the bracelet required a massive amount of time and materials. Therefore, every year, a large number of high-level Adventurers with the qualifications to purchase one were waiting in line. Large-capacity storage equipment was a necessity for all Adventurers, and the demand was enormous. Even if someone had one, they would need a second or a third. But if the prices offered were roughly the same as the Guild’s, it would be much more worry-free to just hand them over to the Guild. This was his arrangement for the Dragon Corpses for the time being.

He shifted his consciousness away from the four massive Dragon Corpses. Next to them was a pile of miscellaneous items. They were the spoils of war he had gathered when sweeping through the Dragon’s Nest after killing the juvenile dragons, fighting through waves of overwhelming drowsiness at the time. Since he had subsequently fallen into a coma and had been rushing non-stop after waking up, he hadn’t had a good look at these spoils yet. Although he felt that they were just the spoils of four juvenile dragons who couldn’t even leave the Dragon’s Nest, and logically shouldn’t include any priceless Treasures, he still decided out of habit to inspect them carefully once more, identifying them one by one with his Identification Technique. As his Adventurer experience grew, the current effect of his Identification Technique was sufficient to verify the value of the vast majority of items.

"Good stuff," Gauss silently gave his evaluation, then separated the jumbled mix of Dragon Scales and dragon skins into several piles according to the species of the true dragon. The Dragon Scales of different dragon species were suited for crafting different types of Armor and potions.

Next were the Demon Crystals and Gold Coins. True dragons naturally loved shiny things, and as their vassals, the Kobold tribe naturally followed suit. However, what true dragons hoarded were usually expensive jewelry, precious metals, and Demon Crystals. The Treasures of the Kobolds were mostly pretty stones of unknown significance, or occasionally, cloudy glass they had fired themselves. Unfortunately, as juvenile dragons living under another’s roof, when it came to Treasure, these four were not Giant Dragons in the true sense. Altogether, they only amounted to about a hundred Demon Crystals and a little over a thousand Gold Coins. Although this was still a generous fortune to an ordinary Adventurer, for four true dragons, it seemed far too shabby. The Gold Coins, in particular, were truly too few.

Gauss figured it might be the result of the Green Dragon Queen "collecting taxes." There were slightly more Demon Crystals, perhaps taking into account that the juvenile dragons might need to consume some for their physical development. But when it came to Gold, the Queen clearly had no obligation to leave them too much.

"Better than nothing." Gauss looked at the final pile of miscellaneous items. In truth, he hadn’t held much hope for them and was just continuing to identify them out of habit. Suddenly, his consciousness paused as he looked inside a certain plain-looking chest.
