I Aggressively Stack Steel of the Heart in the Knight Order

Chapter 238 - 203: Emperor’s Vengeful Angels

It was at that very moment.

The gazes of the others merely met Reinhardt’s Eye of Judgment, which burned with the Eternal Flame.

The power of slaughter and death, condensed from Radiant Power, seemed capable of peering into the deepest secrets of their souls in an instant.

In that single instant, they even saw the magnificent vision that previously only Raphael had witnessed.

The bones of his enemies forged his throne and crown.

The blood of his enemies, like an inverted scarlet river hanging in the heavens, blotted out the sun and sky, converging behind Reinhardt to form Angel’s Wings.

If the rumor about Reinhardt being one of the Emperor’s Vengeful Angels had, until now, just been hearsay, then after personally witnessing this terrifying vision, only terror remained in their hearts.

Great Sage Zeka of the Mechanical Order stared silently at Reinhardt. Although they worshipped the God of All Machines, this young Imperial Knight possessed a Radiant Power that could see into souls...

As far as he knew, a power of such supreme majesty was wielded by only one person: Archangel Tiberius, Lord of the Radiant Angel Legion.

The Punishment Vision possessed by the Radiant Angel Legion was merely the tip of the iceberg of this Eternal Knight’s Legendary Power.

In other words, after that great man’s death, there should have been no one else in the entire Human Empire who possessed this ability to see into the secrets of another’s soul. This was because it was an Extraordinary Power personally bestowed upon Lord Tiberius by the Emperor, a power unique in all the Cosmos.

Previously, he would not have been fazed by this. He would have simply assumed that this Imperial Knight named Reinhardt somehow possessed the Legendary Power of the Radiant Angels.

However, three days ago, he had received the grim and certain news of Archangel Tiberius’s fall.

For the same Extraordinary Power to now appear in this young knight—rumored to be one of the ’Emperor’s Vengeful Angels’—made it difficult for him not to overthink things, especially after catching that fleeting, shocking vision.

Legend had it.

In that sublime, great era...

...those Imperial Knights who had fought alongside Archangel Tiberius had, to some extent, all seen visions of the Radiant Angels.

The National Church Scripture even has a specific written description of it.

’Justice and mercy formed his pure crown; eternal, silver-white radiance intertwined behind him into magnificent wings; the banner of victory snapped before a silver throne...’

The doubt and regret in Lady Catherine’s eyes had long since vanished. She stared at Reinhardt in disbelief, her pupils trembling slightly.

She would never have dreamed that the "rumor" that had circulated throughout the Iberian World for four years was actually true!

As a woman of high station, she was not like an ordinary Imperial Knight; she wouldn’t have truly believed Reinhardt was one of the Emperor’s Vengeful Angels just because of the Verne affair or the National Church’s internal debates over the Angel Holy Scripture.

In her view, the title was, at most, a form of praise and recognition for Reinhardt’s merits and power.

This was because in the Human World, there was only one being who truly qualified for the specific connotations of the title ’Emperor’s Angels’: the Lord of the Second Legion, Archangel Tiberius!

While the others were reeling in immense shock from the momentary vision brought on by the Eye of Judgment, the only two who remained perfectly calm were Sedon and Seventy-Six.

The former had witnessed the Miracle of Radiance that Reinhardt had caused back on Grillers World. From that moment on, he was certain that the Emperor was truly watching this young man.

As for the latter, his heart was filled with a host of grievances, much like those a son might harbor for his father.

If the Emperor were to truly manifest, he could air his grievances for three days and three nights straight. Besides, he had seen Reinhardt’s Vengeful Angels vision long ago.

Besides, given his understanding of Reinhardt, ’How could that man, who’s even more ’cunning’ than a Judge, fall for such an obvious trap? To act so publicly, he must have already made plans or found some dirt on his opponent.’

The reality was just as he had expected.

As Judge Alban’s soul was seared by the Eternal Flame and his bone-deep wails grew faint, the Divine Emperor’s Fury in Reinhardt’s hand abruptly extinguished.

The flames in his eyes also gradually faded.

He tossed the half-dead Judge Alban to the ground as if throwing away trash. The smell of roasted meat emanated from the man’s head.

"Go back and tell the other Judges of the Witch-Hunting Order that before you arrest anyone else, you’d best conduct an internal review. A traitor contaminated by Void Power managed to lie hidden within the Witch-Hunting Order for this long.

I can’t help but suspect whether the others in your Monastery are still loyal to the Emperor."

The Imperial Court of Judgment was a loose organization with no formal structure or hierarchy, where individual Judges wielded immense power.

But over time, whether to handle specific cases, due to shared ideals, or because a particular enemy was too powerful, Judges would often spontaneously form secret monasteries.

The Witch-Hunting Order and the Secret Order were two such secret monasteries affiliated with the Judgment Court.

In fact, the Secret Order had existed and developed for so long that it had now evolved its own independent religious system. It was loyal to the Divine Emperor but not under the jurisdiction of the National Church, and its doctrines differed.

When one of the Judge’s private soldiers met Reinhardt’s gaze, he recoiled in terror, as if something horrifying were staring at him.

He then looked at the half-dead Alban on the ground, the horror in his heart beyond words!

Because he knew one thing with absolute certainty.

Many years ago, the Honorary Grand Judge of the Witch-Hunting Order had discovered internal problems and had thus formed a secret organization to conduct clandestine investigations. One of the members of that very organization was their superior, Alban!

The moment they thought of the grave consequences of this matter, cold sweat instantly soaked their backs and clothes.

As Alban’s subordinates, they would be the first to face the Witch-Hunting Order’s rigorous interrogations!

They could, of course, argue that Reinhardt was just framing Lord Alban to escape his own culpability, but after personally witnessing that Radiant Power capable of peering into the depths of a soul... and with the Grand Governor, the leader of the Capet Family, and numerous Technician Priests from the Mechanical Order all bearing witness... there was no way they could talk or bluff their way out of this.

As the Judgment Court’s private soldiers fled the Vengeful Angels’ base with their half-dead Judge, Reinhardt’s gaze fell upon the "visitors" from the Mechanical Order.

"So, esteemed Technician Priests, you forced your way in here without permission. What is it you wanted?"

The Mighty Power of the Eye of Judgment was sufficient to kill any traitor weaker than him whose soul was contaminated by Void Power, but he didn’t kill Alban, instead leaving him for the Judgment Court to handle internally.

His purpose was to send a warning to certain people and factions.
