Chapter 1135: Chapter 73: Massive Moves!
Bottomless Abyss, 23rd layer, Steel Icefield.
A piercing bone-chilling wind swept across the vast icefield, accompanied by a distorted shadow, a figure silently sneaked in.
——Shadow Demon - Uroboros (five-star silver-gray).
He came from Zerata’s Black Flame City, filled with top assassins who once pledged allegiance to the Dark Monarch Glazest, but now he serves the equally powerful Demon Lord - Julian. After all, allegiance is allegiance, changing leaders above the demons is indeed a very normal thing.
"The planar environment here is disadvantageous for the Flame Demon Legion."
"Why did the master choose this plane?"
Uroboros vigilantly observed his surroundings, and as his voice fell, the Black Blade Demon Sword in his hand responded, the sword soul demon inside whispered: "I don’t know."
"We just need to complete the task."
"Be careful."
"I sense a powerful aura."
Upon hearing the sword soul demon’s reminder, the Shadow Demon instantly disappeared into the glacier darkness. Not long after, a formidable group of Frost Giants emerged, led by an unsightly Frost Giant Priest, with a female Frost Giant Mage at his side, followed by six adult Frost Giants carrying heavy offerings—the Mammoth, and the fierce Walrus.
The Frost Giants threw the Mammoth meat into a giant crevice, where something even more terrifying awaited, producing chewing sounds.
"This Ice Grinding Spider is never satisfied."
A Frost Giant grumbled nearby, and soon the group returned to the town on the other side of the glacier.
"The giants here are not easy to deal with."
Shadow Demon Uroboros watched the giants’ departing figures, his expression gradually becoming serious. Even within the Bottomless Abyss, Frost Giants are considered mid-level or higher beings, with many having professional advancements.
Heading north from here, numerous Frost Giant settlements are scattered, along with some giant lineage monsters, and even hybrids of giants and humans.
The King of Frost Giants, Koschey, can grant mortals eternal life, at the cost of transforming them into Purgatory creatures.
Here are many sinister followers.
In the distance, an imposing statue stood on the ice peak — the King of Frost Giants Koschey, also mentioned earlier as the Dark Monarch transformed into the Enchanting Demon Queen’s temptation, one of the most grotesque demon lords of the Bottomless Abyss.
Uroboros marked everything he saw along the glacier path, and soon he heard the howling of the storm.
"Dragon!"
He concealed himself again as a menacing elderly White Dragon, Great Eldkalti, flew across the sky.
It is the descendant of the Purgatory Primeval White Dragon Svaafnir, and this Primeval White Dragon serves as the steed of the King of Frost Giants, Koschey. Offending the Frenzy Divine Spirit of Joseph’s Garden, this Primeval White Dragon fled into the Bottomless Abyss and allied with the King of Frost Giants.
"That must be Svaafnir’s lair."
"Don’t approach."
"Your stealth cannot deceive a primeval Purgatory White Dragon."
Shadow Demon Uroboros bypassed the towering ice peak, scanning the surrounding Frost Giant tribes, he mused: "There are at least two thousand, no, at least three thousand adult Frost Giants here."
The sword soul demon replied: "That is to say, the Frost Giant souls here are enough to convert into a formidable Abyss army."
The finest among mortal souls, Frost Giant souls.
Wolstad.
The bloody town Wolstad is the main gathering place for Koschey’s loyal minions. Upon approaching this area, even Uroboros, a master of stealth, had to hide cautiously.
In the distant open area, a portal suddenly opened, followed by the embodiment of the King of Frost Giants Koschey appearing.
After Koschey’s embodiment appeared, groups of Frost Giants migrated in tribes, entering the 23rd layer of the Bottomless Abyss. As a reward for serving the Demon Lord, they would be transformed into Purgatory creatures and granted the gift of eternal life.
Koschey views all Frost Giants as his children, believing they must eternally serve him.
His favorite thing is descending upon a new Frost Giant tribe, killing the tribal leader, and then leading the tribe to wage war against their enemies. If the tribe fails in war, Koschey disbands those unworthy of becoming "true" Frost Giants. If victory is achieved, Steel Icefield’s entrance opens to them, allowing access to the Bottomless Abyss.
"Another dozen Frost Giants, no, perhaps nearly a hundred."
"Has Koschey conquered another Frost Giant clan?"
Shadow Demon Uroboros doesn’t know if the great master Julian felt any pressure, but upon entering the Steel Icefield, he already sensed tremendous pressure.
This is a tough battle!
Though among the many demon lords, the King of Frost Giants Koschey is not particularly strong, his followers and clan far exceed ordinary demon lords in overall power.
Here, Purgatory Giants and Purgatory Ogres are considered insignificant failures.
Shadow Demon Uroboros observed dozens of Frost Giant tribes along the way, including formidable Frost Giant Priests, Frost Giant Mages who wield ice and snow magic, and a vast Purgatory Giant legion.
