Chapter 150: Chap.147 - Black Lake

The pair swam for a while, sinking deeper and deeper. Calypso seemed to sense something, opening her mouth and letting out a soft, gentle voice. It wasn't a word, just a vocalization, yet Rigel felt the water churn around them.

Soon Rigel saw a figure approaching rapidly, it was enormous, gigantic, perhaps a little smaller than the Kraken in terms of thickness, but it seemed much larger in terms of length.

The giant eyes stared directly at Calypso for a moment, then at Rigel.

"Calypso, good to see you, who's this guy?" Rigel heard the voice, it was a female voice, if it could be called that. It sounded deep, but still feminine to Rigel's ears. It was as if his Bloodline was telling him that this being was female.

Rigel was curious, could this be the beginning of a relationship between an octopus and a squid? It remains to be seen if squid is willing to accept this 'neighbor'.

The squid also didn't mind Rigel, feeling that he seemed very pleasant to be around, just like Calypso.

Rigel wasted no time, directly explaining his purpose in going there. The squid was very surprised for a moment, flapping its tentacles around. When it spoke again, its voice seemed animated, although there was still a little hesitation.

"Of course, the lake is quite large." The squid agreed. "However, if we don't get along, he'll have to move."

Rigel and Calypso made a promise, after that, Rigel took a golden bookmark from the Adventure Book, the moment he tore it, the bookmark transformed into golden light, rapidly growing to a colossal size.

Before squid's surprised eyes, a figure as large as herself soon appeared in the water.

The Kraken seemed confused, to him, it felt as if no time had passed from the moment Rigel put him away until the moment he let him out. The Kraken's brain couldn't recognize that time had passed, but he soon sensed the difference in the water. He clearly wasn't in the same place. Furthermore, the connection he had with Davy Jones' Locker had vanished, he could no longer travel through the void.

Confused, Kraken turned his gaze to Rigel and Calypso, but soon noticed the figure behind them. Looking at that enormous figure, Kraken froze.

The two giant creatures seemed to have reached an agreement, remaining still, curious, confused, expectant, hesitant... many feelings were running through the Kraken and the Squid.

Rigel began to explain the arrangement directly to the Kraken, it could go to sea or stay there, but it had to come running back when Rigel called it.

He also explained that it was squid's territory, so he needed to respect other people's property.

The Kraken, still somewhat confused, quickly agreed.

Soon the two giant beasts swam away, the squid going ahead to show the Kraken the way.

"They like each other." Calypso said confidently as they left.

"How do you know?" Rigel asked, confused, he only saw two beasts staring at each other.

Calypso looked at him as if he were a fool, making him even more confused. This only made her laugh and give him a little kiss on the cheek, then pull his hand away. - I just know.

Rigel ignored the 'attack' and pursed his lips, shaking his head, as he was dragged away by Calypso while she led him towards the mermaids.

When they arrived, the mermaids were shocked to see Rigel, but having Calypso nearby as an example, they thought they were a different kind of mermaid, but there was no xenophobia, due to the aura that Calypso and Rigel emitted, it was very difficult for marine life to dislike them.

Rigel soon found himself surrounded by mermaids, some of whom even seemed excited to have Rigel nearby. Most of the mermaids were female, with few males, so the males had to be shared. However, when Calypso saw this, she became furious. The mermaids finally discovered that Rigel belonged to Calypso in the worst possible way.

They were spun in a whirlwind like a giant centrifuge, Calypso seemed completely cold as she 'punishing' the mermaids, in the end, the mermaids stayed completely away from Rigel, leaving Calypso satisfied.

Rigel remained quiet throughout the event, he felt that Calypso had gone too far. After all, look at those mermaids... Rigel didn't want to get involved with them at all.

However, considering that Calypso came from Greek Mythology, where even animals were not spared, he disregarded that aspect.

For the mermaids, whose society was a matriarchy, if Rigel had come alone, he would likely have been attacked and captured. To them, a male mermaid was a breeder, but with Calypso nearby, and being so powerful, they could only give up.

In the end, Rigel felt the situation was a little too ridiculous, he simply sighed and asked for tears. This time it was much easier to obtain, the tears of the mermaids of this world, although magical, did not possess inherent curses. Even so, Rigel still sang, after all, positive tears were still more powerful.

This involved ancient magic, so Rigel simply followed the boat and sang.

He almost regretted it when he saw the mermaids' fanatical gaze, Calypso had to use the giant centrifuge again to 'wake' those mermaids.

When Rigel left, the mermaids still looked at him with evident longing, they looked at Calypso with evident resentment. They only needed to spend a few hours with Rigel, no, a few minutes would have been enough!

Calypso was directly categorized as selfish by these mermaids.

Calypso almost wanted to go back and kill those 'witches', but Rigel stopped her, after all, it was his stock of materials, he couldn't just disappear like that.

Feeling tired of the 'adventure', Rigel, who still wanted to visit the unicorns, gave up outright, leaving it for another time.

As he was leaving, Calypso hugged him for a long time at the edge of the lake, not wanting to let go at all.

Rigel can only sigh and try to ignore the 'softness', he's sure the woman did it on purpose, even more so after seeing her smile when she let go of him.

Rigel fled quickly, leaping out of the water as he reverted to human form, the wind carrying him away towards the Gryffindor tower.

Filch, who was passing by a window, saw a flying figure and was startled for a moment. He wiped his eyes, and when he came to, the figure had vanished!

Filch was shocked and annoyed, thinking it was an older student using a broom to get out, but he knew it was pointless to speak without proof. He remained irritated, grumbling constantly as he walked away with his cat.

"Don't let me catch you, you little bastard, I'll make you clean the toilets with your tongue!" Filch continued to mutter.

However, at that moment, a bucket of dirty water fell directly on his head, soaking him. Filch screamed from the cold, slipping and falling, still with the bucket on his head. In the distance, only Peeves' laughter could be heard, then Filch's scream broke the night.

"Peeves!" He roared with hatred. Luckily, the castle was gigantic, so no one besides Norra, Peeves, the portraits, and the passing ghosts heard anything. Well, it was a surprise that by the next day everyone interested already knew about the event. How? That's a mystery.

[A/N: For those who didn't catch it, the last paragraph was ironic.]
