He scanned the hundred or so of his kin surrounding them, his gaze growing more contemptuous.

"Or do you think you alone can defeat all of us?"

Lektorn stared daggers at him, a threatening growl rumbling in his throat.

Just then, Marco’s gaze fell upon Lektorn’s faintly flickering shadow.

He sneered.

"Oh? A little mouse hiding in the shadows?"

"Come on out!"

As his voice faded, Lin Ye’s figure calmly emerged from Lektorn’s shadow.

Upon seeing Lin Ye, Marco froze for a moment before bursting into even more wild and arrogant laughter.

"HAHAHA! And here I was, wondering what incredible ally you’d found!"

"Lektorn! You’re not just a waste, you’re a traitor! To think you’d betray the great Dragon Race and collude with a lowly human!"

"Is this the source of your courage to come barging back in?! A weak little human?!"

His words prompted the hundreds of Shadow-Stealing Wings around them to erupt in mocking hisses.

Lektorn opened his mouth to retort.

But in the next instant, all sound ceased.

SCHLICK—!

A soft, almost disturbingly quiet piercing sound rang out.

Marco’s wild laughter froze on his face.

With great difficulty, he looked down in disbelief.

There, on his chest—the very spot most heavily protected by his metal armor—was a terrifying hole that pierced clean through his body.

"Urk..."

A short, shrill draconic cry escaped his lips.

The light in Marco’s eyes faded rapidly as his massive body fell limply toward the ground below.

He died with his eyes wide open.

Silence.

A deathly silence.

All the Shadow-Stealing Wings stared at the scene in horror, their minds completely blank.

’What just happened?’

’Lord Marco... How is he... dead?’

Just then, Lin Ye’s voice, so calm it was devoid of any emotion, rang out, reaching the ears of every dragon.

"Kneel."

The instant the word was spoken.

An indescribable, terrifying pressure erupted from him!

Lin Ye’s body began to undergo an earth-shattering transformation.

A series of sharp cracks echoed from his bones as his frame shot upward, growing taller and broader at a visible rate.

Fine, bluish-black Scale Armor erupted from beneath his skin as if alive, covering his entire body in a mere second. Between the gaps in the scales, noble, dark-gold patterns seemed to flow.

The skin on either side of his forehead tore open, and two ferocious, domineering black dragon horns burst forth, sharp enough to pierce the very heavens. They radiated a primal, ancient majesty!

His once deep, black pupils ignited in an instant, transforming into a pair of majestic, vertical irises that burned with blazing golden fire!

[Dragon Descendant Incarnation]!

BOOM—!!!

A vast draconic might, originating from the very apex of all bloodlines and seemingly belonging to a primeval god, swept over the entire area like a tsunami!

THUD!

THUD! THUD!

The moment they felt that draconic might, the hundreds of once-arrogant Shadow-Stealing Wings seemed to have all the strength drained from their bodies.

Unable to even flap their wings, they plummeted ungracefully from the sky, one after another, crashing hard onto the branch platforms below and letting out pitiful whimpers.

They pressed their enormous heads flat against the ground, their massive bodies shaking uncontrollably, unable to muster even a sliver of defiance.

It was a fear that stemmed from the very depths of their souls!

The instinctual submission of a lesser bloodline before its supreme sovereign!

Lin Ye’s vertical pupils, still burning with blazing golden fire, swept coldly over the prostrated dragons below.

Every Shadow-Stealing Wing his gaze fell upon trembled violently, lacking even the courage to look up and meet his eyes.

Nearby, Lektorn, the only one still able to barely remain airborne, stared blankly at the towering, sacred, and supremely majestic figure beside him. The dragon was completely dumbfounded.

He felt the pure draconic might that made his very soul tremble, and he gazed upon those blazing golden dragon eyes that seemed to pierce through eternity itself.

’So...’

’...this is Master’s true form?’
