Chapter 2694: Story 2695: The First Elarion
Silver light covered his armor, while countless symbols moved across his skin like living scars.
The darkness trembled around them again.
Kael stared.
“You are me.”
The ancient figure slowly turned.
“No.”
“Who are you?”
“I am what existed before you became Elarion.”
The first enemy roared.
Its six arms struck toward the ancient figure.
He raised one hand.
The attacks stopped.
Not blocked.
Stopped.
The entire realm froze.
Lena whispered,
“He controls time.”
The stranger shook his head.
“No. He controls memory.”
The ancient Elarion looked toward Kael.
“Do you remember the first division?”
Kael nodded.
“I remember.”
“Then you remember what happened before all of them.”
Kael’s expression hardened.
“I remember nothing before Elarion.”
The ancient figure touched his chest.
“That is because you were not born.”
Kael froze.
“What?”
“You were awakened.”
Azael stepped forward.
“Explain.”
“You were created from the original consciousness.”
Kael felt the ninth heart beating.
“The First Soul?”
“No.”
The ancient Elarion pointed toward the black ocean.
“The First Soul was created from you.”
Silence followed.
Lena looked horrified.
“Then Kael...”
“Was never a fragment.”
The stranger lowered his head.
“He was the source.”
Its six crimson eyes opened wider.
“LIAR!”
The ancient Elarion turned.
“You still fear the truth.”
The enemy charged.
Kael raised his sword.
“Together!”
Azael and Kael attacked from opposite sides.
White and black fire collided with the enemy’s six weapons.
Lena raised both hands.
Silver chains erupted from the ground.
They wrapped around the enemy’s legs.
Elias joined her.
Golden light spread through the chains.
“Now!”
The ancient Elarion moved.
He appeared before the enemy.
His hand touched its chest.
“Remember.”
The creature screamed.
Suddenly, its body changed.
The colossal form became a small child.
Kael stared.
The child looked exactly like him.
But his eyes were empty.
Azael whispered,
“Another brother.”
The child looked at Kael.
“I remember you.”
Kael stepped forward.
“Who are you?”
The child smiled.
“The first one you abandoned.”
Kael’s heart stopped.
The stranger suddenly fell to his knees.
“No...”
Lena turned.
“What is it?”
The stranger pointed toward the child.
“That is the first enemy.”
Kael stared.
“But it looks like me.”
The child’s smile widened.
“Because I was your first heart.”
The ninth heart inside Kael answered.
One beat.
Then another.
The child opened his mouth.
“Elarion...”
The realm cracked again.
“Take me back.”
Kael reached toward him.
The ancient Elarion shouted,
“Do not touch him!”
Kael stopped.
“Why?”
The ancient figure looked terrified.
“Because if you accept him, you will remember why you destroyed the first world.”
The child laughed softly.
“And then you will remember who destroyed it with you.”
Behind the child, a gigantic shadow appeared.
It wore the crown of the King Before Kings.
“Elarion.”
Kael turned.
The shadow raised its sword.
“You were never my creation.”
The blade pointed toward the child.
“You were my punishment.”
Then the ancient Elarion whispered,
“Brother, run.”
The shadow smiled.
And the first world returned.
