Chapter 2634: Story 2635: The Final Bloodline Battle
The massive door opened completely.
Marcus Veyr stood on one side of the ancient chamber, his black armor pulsing with crimson energy.
Beside him stood the First Heir.
The stranger wore the shattered remains of his black crown around his head. His eyes were cold, but beneath that coldness Kael could see fear.
The Ancient King watched from above.
“Begin.”
Veyr raised his hand.
“Kill them.”
The First Heir didn’t move.
Veyr turned toward him.
“I gave you immortality.”
The First Heir slowly looked at him.
“No.”
His voice was quiet.
“You gave me a prison.”
Veyr’s face twisted with anger.
“You ungrateful creature.”
Red energy exploded from Veyr’s body.
Kael raised his shield.
“Lena! Elias!”
The siblings moved together.
Veyr attacked.
A wave of energy tore across the chamber.
Kael blocked it, but the force drove him backward.
Elias charged through the smoke.
His blade struck Veyr’s armor.
Veyr caught the weapon.
“You were always weak.”
Elias smiled.
“Not alone.”
Lena raised both hands.
Red energy wrapped around Veyr’s arms.
Elias pulled his blade free and struck again.
Veyr roared.
Kael charged from the opposite side.
His sword pierced the black armor.
Veyr staggered.
“You three...”
He looked at their glowing blood.
“You were supposed to obey me!”
Kael pulled his sword free.
“We were never yours.”
Suddenly, the First Heir attacked.
His blade struck Kael’s shield with tremendous force.
Kael flew backward.
Lena rushed toward him.
The First Heir followed.
“You don’t understand what I am.”
Kael rose.
“I know exactly what you are.”
The First Heir stopped.
“A man terrified of death.”
His expression hardened.
“You think immortality is a gift?”
“No.”
Kael raised his sword.
“I think it’s a curse.”
The First Heir attacked.
Their blades collided.
Kael blocked strike after strike.
The First Heir was faster, stronger, and older.
But Kael refused to fall.
Then Elias joined the fight.
The brothers attacked together.
The First Heir struggled to defend himself.
Lena stood behind them, watching the red energy flowing through the chamber.
She suddenly understood.
“Kael!”
He glanced at her.
“The blood!”
“What about it?”
“The Ancient King isn’t testing us anymore.”
She pointed toward the glowing symbols beneath their feet.
“He’s connecting us.”
Kael looked down.
Three symbols had formed around them.
K-26.
K-27.
K-28.
The Ancient King spoke.
“Your bloodlines were separated to prevent this moment.”
Elias looked upward.
“What moment?”
“The moment they become one.”
The symbols began glowing brighter.
Veyr stepped backward.
“No.”
The First Heir stared at the floor.
“That cannot happen.”
Kael looked at him.
“Why?”
The First Heir’s voice trembled.
“Because if the three bloodlines unite...”
He looked toward the Ancient King.
“The First Blood will choose a new vessel.”
Lena’s eyes widened.
“Who?”
The Ancient King raised his enormous hand.
“None of you.”
The chamber suddenly shook.
The First Origin emerged from the darkness behind the throne.
Its countless eyes opened.
Veyr screamed.
“What is happening?”
The Ancient King looked toward the creature.
“The blood has chosen.”
The First Origin lowered its head.
Then the red energy surrounding Kael, Lena, and Elias surged toward it.
Kael raised his sword.
“Stop!”
The Ancient King smiled.
“Now you will learn the final truth.”
The First Origin began transforming.
Its enormous body cracked apart.
Light erupted from within.
And when the darkness disappeared, a human figure stood before them.
Kael stared.
The face was familiar.
It was their father.
The Sleeping King opened his eyes.
“The war ends with my children.”
