Chapter 1115: Chapter 202: Blue Fire

The three wizards who faced the blue flames head-on didn’t even have time to scream!

Their bodies, magic wands, clothes... everything, upon contact, was silently burned to ashes, turning into wisps of smoke with a charred smell that drifted into the high sky with the night wind in the blink of an eye.

The remaining people screamed in terror and retreated furiously, the encirclement collapsing in an instant.

Even Fontana grabbed Laira, quickly retreating backward, displaying shock and horror on his face for the first time unexpectedly.

The ghostly blue flames elegantly swirled mid-air, not pursuing the others but swiftly whooshing around the site, igniting all the surrounding trees to form a circle of blue flames.

"Quickly, go!"

Someone suddenly let out a heart-wrenching scream, spinning on the spot desperately to Apparate!

"Bang!"

He disappeared with a loud explosion, not hearing Fontana’s stern shout: "Stop! Don’t Apparate!"

The others barely halted their magic, with several people falling with a "plop".

In the brief span of a breath, the site exploded again, and with a massive explosion, the one who had just Apparated away reappeared near the location like Hossun before.

But this time, he happened to fall very close to the blue flames, and as he stood up showing a horrified expression, he was engulfed by the fire.

Everyone watched as the ghostly blue tongues of fire, with seemingly a life of their own, enveloped him, leaving no escape; they watched as he reached out in desperation, his mouth wide open, seemingly pleading for help or repenting.

In the blink of an eye, the figure vanished, the blue flames leapt up and receded as if having a good hiccup, and spat out a puff of smoke.

Dead silence.

This time, it was a truly pin-drop silence, with even heartbeats seemingly frozen in absolute stillness.

The firelight reflected on the people’s faces, previously triumphantly filled, now pale and ghastly, revealing their undeniable inner fear.

Suddenly, the wall of fire surrounding them surged to form an arch, and a tall, commanding figure slowly walked through the arch into the fiery encirclement.

He wore a silver and black robe, his silvery white hair slightly fluttering in the wind, his face exuding an ageless yet sharp elegance and handsomeness, coupled with an almost playful cold smile.

——Gellert Grindelwald.

When the face, once emblematic of terror and death, leaving many shadows on the American Magic World, appeared, time seemed to freeze.

Everyone was as if an Immobulu had been cast, forgetting to breathe, hearts pounding, fear causing pupils to dilate instantly, yet unable to lift their magic wands.

Grindelwald slowly turned his eyes, lingering a moment longer on Laira, a barely detectable sneer crossing his lips, then briefly stopping on Fontana and Seraphina, slightly narrowing his eyes.

Finally, his gaze shifted to Hossun.

"Quite a show."

He broke into a cold smile and said, "Thank you all for letting me witness such a marvelous performance... but this farce should end now."

Grindelwald scrutinized the man whose every muscle seemed taut with tension, pausing briefly before calmly saying:

"Nikolo Hossun, the situation is as it is, do you want to stay here and die, or... come with me?"

As soon as he finished, everyone’s expressions changed dramatically, Laira instinctively stepped forward as if to intervene, but froze under Grindelwald’s cold glance, unable to take another step.

She looked to Fontana for help, only to see Ilvermorny’s headmaster standing there with sweat streaming down his face, while Grindelwald watched him, seemingly expecting him to speak.

Fontana gripped and loosened his magic wand multiple times but never managed to take a step forward.

Finally, he just heard Grindelwald sneer and turn his gaze away.

All eyes were on Hossun, awaiting his response, with a baby still innocently sobbing.

Stella seized the moment to rush over, lifting the fainted Seraphina. She knelt halfway, letting her aunt rest against her, looking fearfully and helplessly at the Congress President at the center of the encirclement.

Hossun tightened his hold on the child, looking up to ask, "Go with you—to join the Witch Pure Party?"

"Yes." Grindelwald chuckled lightly, though the smile didn’t reach his eyes: "Don’t want to?"

Hossun’s tone was eerily calm as he said, "And if I... refuse?"

Grindelwald’s smile deepened: "Then, of course, I’ll turn and leave, wishing you well in handling your internal affairs."

His tone was relaxed, saying, "The Witch Pure Party does not interfere in other countries’ internal affairs—unless it concerns our own members."

The wizards around listened to this dialogue, with an almost simultaneous, soundless roar of suffocated anger erupting in their hearts:

"Not interfering in internal affairs?! Three... no, four of us were just killed! And now you’re taking the Congress President, and you call this not interfering?!"

But no one dared to voice this anger aloud.

Laira looked almost pleadingly at Hossun, hoping he would resolutely reject the invitation from the world’s most dangerous Dark Wizard.

Hossun was silent.

He looked at the child in his arms, who was tired from crying and was finally quiet, then around at those familiar yet alien faces that seemed like masks.

Hossun of the past would weigh benefits, compromise, even concede to certain forces but had his stubbornness and idealism, and would never have any ties with the "Witch Pure Party".

If there were, in his vision, it should be him leading American Wizards against the ever-expanding Witch Pure Party.

He believed he would march to death without hesitation, never compromising to a Dark Wizard.

But now...

Ultimately, Hossun very slowly nodded.

Grindelwald’s smile finally gained a touch of authenticity:

"A wise choice."

He turned away, heading towards the wall of fire, decisively saying, "Then let’s leave, I don’t like the air here."

With his steps, the flames around him surged, and even the ground was covered with bluish flames spreading like grass.

Hossun no longer looked back, just held the child closer, stepping forward to follow the ghostly blue light, with blue flames entwining his robes, yet leaving him unharmed.

One after another, the two figures passed unhindered through the towering wall of ghostly blue flames.

At the moment they vanished completely into the fire, the blazing flames were sharply drawn back by an invisible mouth, quickly contracting into a beam, and flickered out, dissipating in an instant.

On-site, except for the lingering pungent smell of scorching in the air and the trees turned into pale ashes drifting with the wind, there were no traces left, as if Grindelwald had never appeared.

After a brief, suffocating silence, Laira could no longer maintain her carefully crafted mask.

She let out a scream of extreme anger, glaring fiercely at the void where Grindelwald and Hossun vanished, as if trying to burn through it with her eyes.
