Chapter 432 - 414: Suppressing Chu Yu

Chapter 432: Chapter 414: Suppressing Chu Yu

BOOM!!

Chu Yu gritted his teeth and unleashed his full strength. His body shuddered, veins bulged on his skin, and his Qi Blood surged as every organ went into overdrive.

Energy frantically converted into the Power of Red Flame.

Strands of Power fused with the Power of Red Flame. The fighting spirit in his eyes reached its peak as scorching flames gathered on his sharp Battle Saber.

BOOM!!

He swung his blade violently. In an instant, the Red Flame swelled, swirled, and coalesced into a Blazing Phoenix!

The Blazing Saber Technique’s Killing Technique—Flame Phoenix Dance!

The enormous, roaring Blazing Phoenix lunged toward Lin Qi.

But Lin Qi’s eyes narrowed. Power erupted from him as the Mountain and River Realm materialized in a flash, fusing with his body.

BUZZZZ!!

His Special Ability, [Jin Feng], was also unleashed to its absolute limit. A Golden Sharpness spun and flowed, coalescing into the spear’s aura, which expanded to twice its size.

He brandished the giant golden Big Gun and brought it down with the force of a collapsing mountain and a bursting river.

The moment the golden Big Gun descended, it was as if countless Sharp Blades had converged into a single strike. The force of the spear was like mountains and rivers shattering!

The Mountain and River Spear Technique’s Killing Technique—Mountain and River Shattered!

In an instant, the two attacks collided violently. The two forces crashed into each other first, followed by the clash of Weapons.

The collision of the Killing Techniques produced a deafening explosion. The air was torn apart, and even Space itself seemed to begin to Twist.

The human eye could only perceive a chaotic blur of two colors: red and gold.

Many in the audience couldn’t understand why they had suddenly unleashed their Killing Techniques.

But they were already completely engrossed in the battle, because it was about to end.

’Who will be the final victor?’ they all wondered.

...

On the floor of the ruined arena.

BOOM! BOOM!

BANG! BANG!

At the center of the clashing Killing Techniques, a cacophony of sounds rose and fell.

Chu Yu’s body shook, the muscles on his face rippling like waves. He felt a terrifying force crashing over him, wave after relentless wave.

A horrifying Sharpness, like ten thousand arrows fired at once, pierced through his body.

Racked with excruciating pain, he lost control of his body, which could only follow its instincts and retreat.

Every step back left a deep footprint in the dirt ground.

’So strong!’

Chu Yu was horrified. ’I’ve already unleashed my full power, but I still can’t defeat Lin Qi.’

’I’m a Sixth Realm Martial Artist!!’

’How can this be?’

He was an SSS-level genius, yet his strength and Combat Power were actually inferior to Lin Qi’s.

For a moment, a sense of defeat washed over him.

At the same time, Lin Qi, on the other side, was also experiencing intense pain.

Beads of sweat poured from his forehead, and his entire body felt as if it were about to be incinerated.

The powerful impact had severely injured him. His arms were numb, and his body felt sore and heavy.

Lin Qi gritted his teeth. He had never felt anything like this before.

His arms were numb, and his Slaughter Tiger Bone was buzzing, already starting to form hairline fractures.

But he still endured the damage. He knew that if he retreated now, he could effectively shed most of the attack’s power and the resulting harm. But this was also the best opportunity to kill Chu Yu.

Therefore, forcing himself to ignore his grievous injuries, he once again brandished the Black Great Spear in his hands.

The tip of the spear trembled. The River Realm emerged, empowering the Black Great Spear as he executed the Mountain and River Spear Technique!

The sharp spear tip pierced the air, thrusting fearlessly toward Chu Yu.

Flowing Water Stab!

’What?!’

Chu Yu’s eyes widened as he watched Lin Qi swing his spear again without any need to recover.

He was horrified, and panic flooded his heart.

Under the intense sense of crisis, his body’s potential was stimulated, and scorching flames erupted.

He regained control of his body and frantically mobilized his Special Ability, [Red Flame].

The searing flames condensed into a Fire Dragon that charged toward Lin Qi.

HISS~

The only thing that met it was Lin Qi’s Big Gun. With a jab of its tip, it tore through Space and ripped the Fire Dragon apart.

’Faster!!’

Chu Yu swung his Battle Saber, gathering flames and pouring his strength into it, trying to block Lin Qi’s fatal thrust.

BUZZZZ!!

The Big Gun, roaring with [Jin Feng], collided with the Battle Saber and blasted it away.

It continued to Shuttle through the air, a glint of cold, golden light.

Chu Yu could only watch helplessly as the sharp spear tip ruthlessly pierced his heart.

PFFT~

His Red Flame Body Protection, Combat Suit, and tough skin were all pierced, the spear running through and pulverizing his powerful heart.

Blood splattered through the air like snowflakes, scattering across the ground.

WHOOSH!!

A fierce wind raged. The surrounding scorching heat dissipated, and the arena returned to calm.

THUD!

Chu Yu’s body collapsed to the ground, blood flowing from his mouth.

He looked up at Lin Qi.

"I lost...?"

Lin Qi stopped, his expression calm as he said:

"I won!"

After he spoke, Chu Yu dissolved into the Void and vanished into thin air.

[Match 2: Lin Qi (Sophomore) is the victor!]

Above the wrecked and ruined concrete ground, the dispassionate voice of an AI announcer sounded out.

Lin Qi put away his Long Spear. An intense exhaustion flooded his body, and his arms trembled uncontrollably.

Exhaustion, soreness, heaviness—all sorts of negative sensations washed over him, which not even his Little Divine Power state could suppress.

He was severely injured, and this was also the first time he had used Little Divine Power in months.

’Chu Yu is worthy of being called an SSS-level genius, to be able to injure me so badly.’

’Fortunately, I was the one who won in the end.’

BZZT!!

His figure dissipated into the air as he was teleported back to the spectator stands.

At this moment, the stands were utterly silent.

Wan Ming stared at the returning Lin Qi, his eyes wide.

"Brother Qi, you actually beat Chu Yu?!"

Lin Qi calmly retorted, "Did you think I couldn’t win?"

Wan Ming quickly waved his hands. "No, no, no!!"

"But Brother Qi, honestly, nobody thought you would win."

The others nodded, completely stunned.

Lin Qi had defeated Chu Yu. An SS-level genius had beaten an SSS-level genius by Crossing a Realm.

If anyone had suggested this before, they would have been flamed to death.

But now, someone had actually done it.

And it had happened right before their very eyes.

Everyone looked at each other, seeing the shock in one another’s eyes.

Not far away, Wang Hailong watched Lin Qi and suddenly realized that his own loss seemed completely normal.

A Sixth Realm fighter like Chu Yu had lost, let alone a Fifth Realm one like him.

Meanwhile, Du Shanyan, the other SSS-level genius from the sophomore year, was also a bit dazed.

’Chu Yu actually lost?’

’Doesn’t that mean I’m no match for Lin Qi either?’

But the one hit hardest was Chu Yu himself. After returning to his seat, his mind was a complete blank.

The scene of the battle played over and over in his mind.

He had actually been defeated by Lin Qi.

His opponent was an SS-level Fifth Realm Martial Artist, while he was a Sixth Realm Martial Artist.

He was defeated by someone Crossing a Realm!

He replayed it in his mind countless times but couldn’t figure it out. ’How did he manage to continue attacking after such a violent collision without needing any time to recover?’

’Is his body made of Delta Alloy or something?’

His expression became complicated as he watched Lin Qi being praised by the crowd.

Before, he hadn’t given him a second thought. In his eyes, Lin Qi was just a slightly stronger SS-level genius, nothing more.

But he was an SSS-level genius destined to follow in the footsteps of Emperor Red.

His rivals were supposed to be the third and fourth-year SS-level, and even SSS-level, geniuses.

But now, he had been defeated midway by Lin Qi.

At this thought, he felt an intense sense of defeat, and his entire Essence, Qi, and Spirit seemed to wither.

"Speaking of which, since Brother Qi can already defeat Chu Yu..."

"...is he still just an SS-level genius?"

Wan Ming suddenly asked.

His question stumped everyone.

That’s right. Doesn’t that make Lin Qi an SSS-level genius now?

...

「At the same time, in the third-year spectator stands.」

Meng Yuxuan, the third year’s only SSS-level genius, sighed with admiration.

"How incredible!"

"His Talent is extraordinary. He has the makings of an SSS-level genius!"

"A genius like him shouldn’t be merely SS-level!"

In the fourth-year area, Lei Frost and Zhang Tianyang couldn’t help but glance over and remark with admiration:

"Truly incredible. That kind of Talent is enviable!"

Shen Heng, dressed in black robes, also nodded. He had only ever seen one other person defeat an SSS-level genius while Crossing a Realm.

That person also practiced Cultivation at the Celestial Vault Institute but didn’t participate in their competitions.

At this thought, he clenched his fists!

’I have to break through to the Seventh Realm as soon as possible, too.’

...

「In the leadership viewing area!」

After hearing the AI announcer’s result, Wang Yunpeng stroked his chin and sighed.

"Lin Qi actually won!"

"An SS-level defeating an SSS-level genius... that’s a first in history."

Xue Zhou also burst out laughing.

"I knew Lin Qi would win."

"And it turned out just as I expected!"

The others were also secretly astonished. They had all been geniuses in their time.

But this was the first time they had ever seen something like what happened today.

Dean Liu spoke with a chuckle.

"Since Lin Qi was able to defeat Chu Yu, an SSS-level genius, then it’s natural to consider him an SSS-level genius as well."

"I think we can already consider promoting Lin Qi to SSS-level."

Mu Hong, dressed in black, also spoke up slowly.

"I feel the same way!"

The others nodded in agreement after hearing this!

Vice Principal Xu Wenji nodded after listening.

"After the Celestial Vault Competition, we at the Red Dome Martial Arts Dojo will hold a meeting to discuss it."

"And we will need to request the principal’s approval!"

"Unfortunately, the principal has been extremely busy lately. If he were here, we might not even need a discussion."

Dean Liu nodded. Every year, SSS-level geniuses required the acknowledgment of a Ninth Realm Martial Artist.

Because they were required to take a Ninth-level Martial Artist as their master.

If he’s too busy, it might be delayed for some time.

Dean Liu nodded. Since no one had any clear objections, then Lin Qi’s promotion to SSS-level genius was all but guaranteed.

At this thought, he sighed internally. Who would have thought that an ordinary S-class genius from back then would be on the verge of becoming an SSS-level genius in the blink of an eye?

...

The competition continued. After Lin Qi’s match, there were four more bouts.

The final six were quickly decided, and Du Shanyan was eliminated in the process.

Apart from Lin Qi and the third-year SSS-level genius Meng Yuxuan, the other four members of the final six were all fourth-year geniuses.

A projection of Vice Principal Xu Wenji appeared!

"Fellow students, the fifth round is now officially over!"

"Let us congratulate the six contestants who have successfully advanced to the sixth round."

"They will receive 2,000 kilograms of Level 7 Disaster Beast Flesh and Blood, as well as 100 kilograms of an Eighth-Level Calamity Beast’s flesh and blood."

"At the same time, we will now proceed to the sixth round of the competition!"

"Only three of these six contestants will be able to advance."

"Without further ado, the sixth round now begins!"

As soon as Xu Wenji’s voice fell, he waved his hand. Six blazing suns appeared, combining into red and blue pairs to form three Tai Chi Diagrams.
