Ye Ning said, "They already have the self-control kids their age should have. At this age, they can hold back from wasting their youth, study hard, and in the trials of the future they’ll slowly achieve other things. You’re the one who never gave them that chance."

"This age? I’m this age too. Think about it—at your age, you were already world-famous."

"Not everyone is Einstein. But Einstein is hidden among people like them."

"Then I’m just helping humanity screen them. The ones I eliminate, it proves they’re not firm enough."

Ye Ning shook her head, feeling this guy had already gone off the deep end; saying anything more was pointless.

Ye Ning said, "Alright then, what’s the point of dragging me here?"

Gu Qingcheng said, "Since you’ve already started interfering with my business, I can’t exactly leave you out there, can I?"

Ye Ning walked around the place, looking over the stuff.

"You’ve read quite a lot of books."

"Yeah. Boring high school—what else is there to do besides read?"

Ye Ning’s hand drifted as she walked. "So which Organization exactly are you from?"

"That depends on whether you can guess it."

"Sorry, I don’t know that much about these Organizations."

"Really? We know plenty about you though."

Ye Ning said, "That only proves you people don’t move around much. Otherwise, any Special Agents making big waves in the world, I’d at least have heard of them."

Gu Qingcheng’s expression shifted.

He was still hiding out here; odds were he hadn’t gone out on many actual missions yet.

Ye Ning looked at him. "Hey, your Organization’s pretty useless, huh? Having you study for so long and never using you. Switch over to our Organization—get you out in the field early, so you won’t be so bored you go around slaughtering students who couldn’t even fight off a chicken, right?"

That line clearly made this self-important young Special Agent feel pretty lousy.

His face got even darker.

Ye Ning said, "Let me tell you, killing out there is way more fun. Especially those vicious bastards, fighting to the end—every time you kill one, you feel this huge sense of achievement. Even if you walk away with injuries, they feel like medals. You should know, I especially love stamping my medals onto other people’s bodies, letting everyone see, this is my handiwork. That’s how I got so famous. So, interested in trying it out together?"

Gu Qingcheng stared at her through gritted teeth.

Ye Ning smiled—and right then...

She suddenly felt a wave of agony in her head, like being hit with an electric shock, her strength draining, and she collapsed straight onto the ground.

Ye Ning lifted her head. "You... what did you put in my head?"

Gu Qingcheng snorted. "Your earphones looked pretty handy, so I took them off and used them. And while I was at it, I installed something extra inside."

Ye Ning froze, reaching up, wanting to take them off.

"I’d advise you not to. They’re linked to the bomb on your ankle. The second you take them off, your bomb detonates."

Ye Ning looked down and saw there really was a band strapped around her ankle.

She said, "Nice. I like this kind of fun."

"All my own research. Not bad, right?"

"Not bad. You’ll go far with this. So, tell me, how are we playing this now?"

Ye Ning actually sat down.

She figured he was now addicted to this feeling of controlling people and couldn’t pull himself out of it, but at the same time, he wasn’t keen on killing her just yet.

He said, "From what you were saying, killing people sounds pretty fun. Take me with you."

Ye Ning let out a dry laugh. Seriously...
