Hero’s Debt: The Superhero House Husband
Ch. 59 – A Taste for Danger
Yet Rhys refused to stop. He kept driving into her through the spasms, his expression dark and ruthless, unbothered by her frantic, breathless gasps. But as her body shook uncontrollably, a sudden, awkward shift in her posture caused him to slide completely out of her.
Rhys stumbled back half a step, catching his breath in sharp, ragged hitches, his chest heaving as sweat glistened on his forehead. He stared at her, his mind briefly trying to claw its way back to sanity through the red haze of passion.
Ariadne, entirely unhinged and desperate for more, didn’t let the moment die. Her eyes flashed with crimson light, and she activated her kinetic ring powers once again. Four glowing, translucent bands of crimson energy materialized out of thin air, wrapping tightly around the base of Rhys’s throbbing groin, binding him in a vice-like grip of force and heat.
With a low, dark growl, Rhys stepped forward and drove himself back inside her—this time, taking her by surprise as he slammed directly into her tight, unyielding behind.
Ariadne let out a sharp, breathless gasp of pure shock, her head snapping back as a loud, involuntary moan ripped from her chest before she could stop it. “Oh—! Rhys!”
And then, right at that exact, agonizing microsecond, a sharp, clear knock echoed off the heavy wooden door of the office.
“Is... everything alright in there?” Marcus’s voice called out from the hallway, sounding just inches away on the other side of the thin wood.
Rhys and Ariadne froze instantly.
Every nerve in Rhys’s body went stark, icy cold. The room felt like it lost all oxygen in a single heartbeat.
“Yeah... everything’s fine!” Rhys managed to call out, forcing his voice to sound steady, deep, and completely unbothered, though his heart was hammering against his ribs like a trapped bird.
Everything was NOT fine. This was rapidly descending into the absolute single worst-case scenario of his entire life. He was standing in his home office, embedded deep inside his villainous ex-enemy, while his god-tier superhero friend stood on the other side of the door holding a phone line open to Vespera.
To Rhys’s absolute horror, an undeniable, white-hot rush of forbidden pleasure surged straight through his spine as Ariadne completely ignored the danger.
Instead of remaining still, Ariadne twisted her head back, looking at Rhys with a downright devilish, mocking smirk. She deliberately began to move, rolling her hips back into him in a smooth, sickeningly slow, counter-clockwise grind. At the same time, her glowing crimson rings—still firmly wrapped around his groin inside her—began spinning in a rapid, counter-clockwise spiral, creating a bizarre, high-intensity friction that made Rhys’s knees physically buckle.
Rhys had to plant both hands heavily against the edge of the desk just to keep his legs from collapsing beneath him, his jaw clenching so hard his teeth groaned under the pressure.
“Ok, cool...” Marcus’s voice filtered back through the door, sounding slightly awkward. “Yeah, I just heard from Vespera... she just wanted to check in on the business logistics and make sure everything was running smoothly.”
Hearing Vespera’s name uttered aloud in that precise, obscene moment sent Rhys’s entire central nervous system into a tailspin. The sheer, psychological terror of the situation—having Vespera’s shadow cast over him while he was trapped in this act of pure betrayal—sent his heart rate through the roof.
And then, Ariadne did the unthinkable. She spoke up.
“We’re... we’re still discussing it!” Ariadne called out toward the door, her voice hitching with an undeniable, heavy tremor of lust as she picked up her pace, grinding harder against him. “The... the logistics are... feeling so good!”
The sheer audacity of her words made Rhys’s eyes widen in absolute fury. He glared down at her with a look that could incinerate mountains, but Ariadne just threw her head back in wicked ecstasy, using the rings to twist his body into unbelievable peaks of physical pleasure.
Out in the hallway, Marcus let out a nervous, thoroughly confused laugh. “Uh... ok, great?” he asked, scratching the back of his neck through the wood. “Did you say... feeling good?”
“She means LOOKING great!” Rhys blurted out desperately, his voice rising a full octave as he tried to cover the slip. He shot another deadly glare down at the back of Ariadne’s head, but as his eyes trailed down her arched spine, taking in the full, glistening expanse of her body and the pulsing crimson rings glowing against her skin, the raw visual pulled him right back under.
“Oh! Ok, cool,” Marcus replied, sounding immensely relieved to end the weird interaction. “Well, I guess I’ll let Vespera know there’s not a problem down here. I’ll be in the living room.”
Footsteps faded down the hallway as Marcus walked away.
Ariadne paused her hips for a fraction of a second, glancing back at Rhys with a breathless, mischievous smirk. “Is there... a problem, Rhys?” she whispered brokenly, her chest heaving.
Yes, there fuckin’ is, Rhys thought bitterly, his jaw working as his mind spun out of control. And it’s you. And Vespera... somehow managing to be more cruel and destructive when she isn’t even in the room.
And then, amidst the terror, the guilt, and the chaos, Rhys felt a strange, terrifying surge of excitement bloom in the center of his chest.
A dark, horrifying question echoed in the quiet corners of his mind: Was he actually growing to like this? Was he addicted to the danger?
His brain completely surrendered control to his body. His tactical mind shut off, and his physical posture took over, restarting its punishing, relentless pace with sudden, explosive violence. He drove into her with everything he had, abandoning all restraint.
“OH! YES!” Ariadne screamed out in pure, unbridled excitement, abandoning all attempts to be quiet now that Marcus was gone.
Rhys kept going, hammering into her with a rhythmic, thunderous velocity that caused loud, heavy claps to rise and echo off the walls of the small room. The desk rattled violently, books shifting on the shelves as he conquered her again and again.
Ariadne’s body finally gave out under the assault. She finished for the second time, a high-pitched scream tearing from her throat as her legs spasmed violently, her toes curling inward as intense, overwhelming waves of climax washed over her frame.
At that exact same second, Rhys hit his absolute limit. With a deep, guttural roar that tore from his lungs, he flooded her deep inside, his body locking up as a massive, overwhelming release hit him.
Ariadne took every single drop, her body shuddering beneath him as the finish lasted for several agonizingly intense seconds, the glowing red rings finally dissolving into harmless red sparks in the air.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity of agonizing heat, Rhys pulled back, sliding out of her with a distinct, wet pop.
Ariadne instantly collapsed, falling completely limp against the surface of the mahogany desk, her breathing ragged, heavy, and broken. Clear, glistening fluids ran freely down her legs, pooling onto the ruined leather blotter beneath her.
Rhys stood behind her in the heavy silence of the room, his breath coming in jagged, wheezing gasps, his hands trembling as he stared down at the utter carnage he had just created—staring at what he had done, and wondering if there was any piece of his soul left to save.
