Chapter 903 - 922: New Training Helmet

It truly was difficult.

Finding technical personnel was a bit easier; if they couldn’t find top-tier talent, they could at least poach a few people to form a team and avoid leaving vacancies. But buying AI brains was incredibly hard. They could only purchase Level 6 or Seventh Level ones. Seventh Level AI brains were scarce, expensive, and didn’t even provide much of a boost.

Stacking AI brains of the same level only expanded the total concurrent online users of the app. To increase the online capacity, data intensity, and server replication for each specific regional grid—such as a streamer’s live room—they needed higher-level ones.

However, Level 8 AI brains were strictly for military use.

As the old saying goes, while Qian Xingxing knew people whose families could get their hands on Level 8 tech, the ones he knew were merely heirs, not the Family Heads. They didn’t have the authority to secure them. Even the shareholders from Changhai Star could only provide Seventh Level ones.

Little President Qian pondered that if he really couldn’t find anything higher, he would have to use a chain of Seventh Level ones, though that would mean restricting the number of viewers entering Qiuqiu’s live room. He hoped it wouldn’t come to that.

Time flowed on. Different times, different places, and different people were experiencing different things.

While Little President Qian worked overtime in his office, preoccupied with the AI brain issue, Qiuqiu was called over to Dean Zhu’s home. She had already been planning to make a trip anyway, so she arrived carrying two insulated boxes in her hands.

Dean Zhu was already feeling guilty, so how could he possibly accept the gifts? Qiuqiu simply looked at him and said, "You would have accepted these without hesitation in the past, Dean."

Zhu Tiansheng froze, at a loss for words.

The two of them had another discussion about the events that had occurred on Q3 Star. Now removed from the heat of the moment, both were calm and rational. Once they talked things out, the knot in Qiuqiu’s heart unraveled. She knew she couldn’t view the world from an omniscient perspective; in Dean Zhu’s eyes, she was just an ordinary student. Even though she had trained as a Mecha Soldier, her personal combat prowess couldn’t possibly compare to the garrisoned military. Dean Zhu’s decision to step back had stemmed from his fear that her life would be in danger.

Qiuqiu expressed her understanding, allowing Dean Zhu to breathe a sigh of relief.

"I was truly agonizing over it," he confessed. He had genuinely wanted to step forward, but he simply couldn’t. "Sometimes, it feels like the Spirit Healing Department is also in a vulnerable position.

"If Old Fu had been the one to go with you, that Wen Jun probably wouldn’t have dared to act like that."

A Level 2S mecha powerhouse had countless students serving as generals under his command. Even if Old Fu came from an ordinary background, there were very few people in the entire Federation who dared to speak harshly to him.

"Qiuqiu, I called you over today because I wanted to ask about your Spirit Healing Department classes," Dean Zhu continued. "Why did you suddenly stop attending? Did you cancel them?"

"Did you think I was tired of studying, Dean?" Qiuqiu asked, finally understanding why he had been tiptoeing around his words. "That’s not it. I advanced to a new level and I’m having trouble controlling my new Sea of Spirit Power. I can’t do any delicate work right now. I just wanted to go to the Mecha Department next door to burn off some excess energy and gain better control."

"Is that so?"

Qiuqiu nodded.

"Wait a moment. If you can’t control your spiritual power, I can teach you a new training method."

This particular training method required the use of tools. It was another helmet worn on the head, but this one wasn’t quite as bulky; it was actually very compact. Twelve transparent crystals were embedded into it. Looking at them, Qiuqiu felt they resembled Healing Stones.

"That’s right, they are," Dean Zhu confirmed.

It was a Spiritual Power Control Training Helmet made from Healing Stones. It featured twelve crystal reservoirs. Once a Spirit Healing Master put on the helmet, they could channel spiritual power into it through meditation. After filling all twelve reservoirs, the system would display the volume of Healing Spiritual Power stored within each individual crystal. It could be tested and used repeatedly. A Spirit Healing Master would officially complete their training once they could inject spiritual power into all twelve crystals for three consecutive attempts, with a margin of error of less than 0.01 for each piece.

Qiuqiu rather liked the sound of this device.
