Heir of Synthesis: The World Mage
Chapter 332: Divine Assassin
Far away from the central region of Sacred Mist Forest Planet, the earth and sky erupted into pure chaos.
*BOOOOM! BOOOOM!! BOOOOM!!!*
Deafening, unrelenting explosions echoed across all the Sorcerers’ main attack points. The sound of flesh being torn apart mixed with furious roars and agonizing screams of pain.
In the skies, a thunderous beast with a terrifying presence reigned like an absolute emperor. With every beat of its wings, the heavens seemed to collapse, raining down colossal spears of dazzling lightning that impaled and vaporized dozens of Sorcerers instantly.
On the ground, a gigantic black serpent slithered through the enemy ranks, turning the earth into a toxic and deadly domain. Its venom was an unavoidable nightmare: a single breath of that disastrous air was enough to drain all their strength, leaving them as fragile as mere mortals.
In another region, six other beasts moved in terrifying synchronization. With flawless coordination and teamwork, they attacked and defended like a single lethal organism. Their enemies couldn’t even understand where the attacks were coming from before their lives were cut short.
The Sorcerers carried a fatal flaw: they were far too arrogant, far too fearless, had no sense of self-preservation, and were completely obsessed with the blood of battle. After killing countless people and allowing their most primitive instincts to run free without the slightest restraint, they had become irrational and strange beasts.
As soon as chaos erupted on these three fronts, the invaders sensed the commotion and moved in mass toward those locations.
They were like uncontrolled wasps drawn to a deadly flame.
More than 250,000 Sorcerers abandoned their hunt for the local beasts and threw themselves headfirst into the battle.
The Sorcerers’ arrogance also fueled their downfall. Upon quickly identifying that their opponents were Beasts, the prejudice ingrained in their minds as natives of the Ur-World spoke louder. To them, Beasts were inherently weak, pathetic, and inferior creatures.
They had no idea what kind of monsters they were facing.
Arvid, Mo Lan, and the six beasts under Dandara’s command had received an almost infinite supply of resources from Priam, brought over from the other world. They possessed everything necessary to draw out the absolute peak of their potential.
Furthermore, the Primordial Chaos Beasts of this world were feared creatures, but they were also Beasts at their core. The only real difference was that they possessed the unique ability to adapt their bodies to the Ether and the energy of this world.
Using the ’Goddess’s inheritance,’ Dandara had discovered how to nourish her beasts’ bodies with Ether, altering their biological structures. It was only a matter of time before those beasts from another planet reached power as devastating as that of the Primordial Chaos Beasts themselves.
In their current state, Arvid and Mo Lan could individually subdue any Mage Master or Sorcerer of an equivalent level. Without holding back — exactly as they were doing now — they massacred the enemy armies like true gods of death.
As for the other six, Dandara had trained them to fight as a single mind, multiplying their individual strength to terrifying levels.
Even so, the threat was massive. Among the 300,000 Sorcerers who initially invaded the planet, there were more than 500 Sage-level specialists.
When the counterattack began, these Sages finally moved together to eradicate the threats. But...
*CRASH!*
At that moment, a Sage who had shot through the skies toward Arvid simply exploded into a bloody mist in midair, without a single attack being seen.
Hidden away, a divine assassin moved through the shadows... or rather, through the air.
Priam was truly acting in this profession for the first time.
With his Elemental Physique activated, he used Ananke on his fists, along with a Power Rune of spatial concealment. This Power Rune made him almost completely invisible to the naked eye, and combined with Divine Concealment, he became undetectable to magical senses.
He would appear out of nowhere, kill instantly, and disappear without leaving the slightest trace of his aura.
Obviously, maintaining this level of performance required burning an astronomical amount of Ether. He had to cross the battlefield at maximum speed and deliver lethal, single-impact strikes.
Against any other type of opponent, Priam could only execute this tactic half a dozen times before falling into complete exhaustion.
But his enemies were Sorcerers.
Every spell, every physical attack, and every life taken by those invaders released dense waves of corruption. Priam only needed to absorb that corruption, instantly converting it into pure Ether.
He possessed an infinite source of energy. Thus, he could fight using 100% of his abilities’ maximum capacity indefinitely.
Priam was the true and absolute Nemesis of the Sorcerers.
After becoming a Sage, all of Priam’s potential multiplied several times over. The power of a Sage was truly incredible, and he didn’t even need to use Creation Essence for it.
Whenever his senses detected the presence of a Sage, he would cut through space to eliminate them. With the wind Elemental Physique, Priam could cross the entire planet in a matter of seconds if he wished.
As for his wind perception, it allowed him to sense and map everything within a radius of thousands of miles without any effort. Priam was practically omnipresent and omniscient within a vast area. No other element would grant him these capabilities.
Because of this, none of the Sages in the enemy army could intervene to save their weaker troops. Priam didn’t even give them the right to formulate a thought about attacking before their heads were separated from their bodies.
At the same time, whenever his senses detected groups of native beasts trapped in the forest, Priam’s voice would resound directly in their minds, guiding them along safe paths toward the center of the forest.
---
Back to Dandara.
Blood splattered in every direction as the worker’s body was brutally sliced in half. The lightning-fast violence of the attack made everyone present widen their eyes in absolute shock.
Only Dandara maintained a cold and indifferent expression. She had no intention of wasting time on a pointless argument.
"Go to hell, you damn bastards," she said, her voice overflowing with contempt. "A bunch of mediocre Mage Masters dares to act tough in front of me? Are you trying to make me die laughing?"
Dandara was only a Level 4 Mage Master — a lower level than most members of her faction, since she had dedicated a large part of her time and energy to the rigorous training of the twins.
Those Level 9 idiots hadn’t witnessed the massacre she had carried out minutes ago.
They had only noticed that the girl was the source of that miasma, and upon seeing the ground covered in mutilated corpses, they presumptuously concluded that she had used some sinister one-time-use artifact. Surely, she had only killed a few hundred, and the others had fled.
These sect workers had only received some resources in exchange for the service they provided, which made them much stronger than ordinary Mages. But they were still mediocre and inexperienced. They had no idea of a Sorcerer’s true mentality.
Besides, even in their wildest delusions, they would never imagine that the young woman had single-handedly exterminated all 30,000 Sorcerers. Nor that she could summon that Miasma again at any moment.
"How dare you launch a sneak attack?!" one of them roared, consumed by blind fury.
"Die!" another bellowed, exploding his magical aura to its limit.
Consumed by rage, all eleven drew their swords and unleashed the full extent of their power, charging toward Dandara simultaneously.
However, at the exact millisecond the Mages advanced...
In the deepest shadows of the forest, a Sorcerer moved through space like an imperceptible blur, stealthily making his way at high speed toward the center of the forest.
And the instant the cold eyes of that hidden entity fixed themselves on Dandara from a distance...
A visceral, deadly chill ran down her spine.
