Heavenly Harem: Raising My Disciple With Infinite Dual Cultivation
Chapter 255: CH. 255 | Chance For Ya Fei To Breakthrough
The sect gathering at the Lingxian Sect officially drew to a close. Lin Tian stood, clasping his hands together, bowing respectfully to everyone present.
One by one, the sect leaders departed the Lingxian Sect, but Li Qingxue stayed behind.
As the representative of one of the sects whose disciple numbers already met the threshold set by Yuntian’s Reform, she chose to delay her departure to discuss the finer details of their plan.
There was something else too. Over the past several months, Li Qingxue had sensed a kind of clarity stirring within her heart, as though some rough concept was quietly demanding to be refined further.
"Are you certain about this plan?" Li Qingxue asked.
"We don’t have much of a choice," Lin Tian explained. "They seem to be pinning all their hope on us."
"This is the only approach I could come up with."
"That’s just how it is. Ever since the Yuntian Sect openly threw its support behind the Qin Kingdom, every proposal Yun Zhao puts forward gets approved by the Emperor without question."
The two of them looked out toward the front courtyard, watching the Lingxian Sect’s disciples training. Once he’d seen off all the departing leaders, Wu Yue flew back over to join Lin Tian.
He reported that every sect leader had left the Lingxian Sect, Qin Mu included. They’d return once they’d finished their month of preparations.
There were only three months left before the year’s end, the deadline set by the Yuntian Sect’s ultimatum.
Given how badly short they were, thousands of disciples across multiple sects, Lin Tian wasn’t entirely confident they could save them all.
Still, if things came to that, he’d figure out a solution when the time came.
"I want you to send two scouting teams into the Wei Kingdom. Identify their sects, which ones are the weakest, and which ones are the strongest," Lin Tian said.
Wu Yue listened carefully, nodding obediently to show he understood. He excused himself and left the main hall right away.
"For now, we’ll move forward with this plan," Lin Tian said, turning to look at Li Qingxue standing beside him. "As for any changes going forward, let me be the one to handle that."
Li Qingxue agreed readily. Lin Tian was the cultivator who had saved the Qin Kingdom itself, and he always seemed to know exactly what he was planning and how it would play out.
Because of that, Li Qingxue and the other sect leaders placed a great deal of trust in him. Their feelings toward the Yuntian Reform were plainly unfavorable.
"As for my own cultivation base... for some reason, over these past few months, I’ve felt a strong sense of resolve building around something specific."
"I’ve been reading through countless historical records, and I’m starting to grasp how the heavenly path actually works. It might be the best route I have toward breaking through the Perfect Nascent Soul barrier."
"Even with my own perception, I can’t gauge exactly how deep your understanding of the heavenly path has grown," Lin Tian said. "But I don’t intend to grant you dao enlightenment, not right now."
"I’m concerned that if I guided you toward heavenly enlightenment through my own dao concept, you’d need to enter closed-door cultivation and miss out on everything we’re planning."
"But once all of this is behind us, I promise I’ll grant you that enlightenment."
Li Qingxue turned back and smiled, clasping her hands together and bowing her head in gratitude and respect. With nothing further to discuss, she took her leave of Lin Tian.
She departed alongside her delegation, leaving the Lingxian Sect behind. Lin Tian now stood alone in front of the main hall.
His attention shifted when he spotted Ya Fei flying from her hall’s peak, landing at the summit of Tianxun. Curious, Lin Tian shifted his position in an instant.
Within seconds, Lin Tian touched down in the front courtyard of the Technique and Weapon Hall.
The moment the disciples noticed his arrival, they immediately stopped their training, clasping their hands together in respect.
"Welcome, Sect Master Lin Tian!"
Lin Tian greeted them warmly, smiling and waving. He walked past the courtyard and made his way into the hall itself.
The door opened, and Lin Tian stepped inside, finding several core disciples seated, deep in training and cultivation. Among them was An Yue, accompanied by Ya Fei.
Except Ya Fei wasn’t actually in the main hall, she was in the private room set aside for Lin Dong.
Sensing Lin Tian’s qi aura approaching, An Yue paused her cultivation and turned to look at her husband, the core disciples following her lead.
"Welcome, Sect Master Lin Tian."
Lin Tian walked over to An Yue, greeting her warmly, love evident in every word. He’d come to the hall specifically to see Lin Dong, and An Yue was more than happy to lead him to their son’s room.
They walked together until they reached the room. The door opened, revealing Lin Dong fast asleep in his crib, soft and comfortable beneath him.
There, Ya Fei stood gently stroking Lin Dong’s cheek. The moment she noticed Lin Tian and An Yue arrive, she turned around, utterly startled.
"M-Master Lin? Senior Sister An Yue?"
"I saw you earlier, Ya Fei. Seems like you’re quite taken with Lin Dong," Lin Tian said.
"Lin Dong is your son and Senior Sister An Yue’s. Of course I’m drawn to him, I want to visit all the time, especially with how handsome and adorable he looks."
Lin Tian listened to Ya Fei’s words, then studied the qi aura surrounding her with his eyes.
He could see clearly that the qi within her body was unstable, churning restlessly, as though poised right on the edge of a breakthrough.
Given that moment in Ya Fei’s cultivation, Lin Tian realized he could help trigger her breakthrough into Nascent Soul quickly.
"Ya Fei," Lin Tian called out, drawing her attention.
"Yes?"
Lin Tian summoned a golden orb of qi at the tip of his finger and sent it flying into Ya Fei’s body through her forehead.
Her body glowed with golden light, and she felt the qi flowing through her meridians smoothly, without any resistance at all.
"I noticed a surge of qi churning within you. That’s more than enough proof that you’re ready for a breakthrough."
"I’ve stored some of my own primordial qi within your body. All you need to do now is cultivate and focus on building the momentum to break through."
Ya Fei listened to Lin Tian, then broke into a wide, obedient smile. "Understood. I’ll get started right away, Master Lin!"
