Heavenly Dungeon: My Subordinates Are All Woman Monsters
Chapter 107: Killing The Boss Without Using Skills
Chapter 107: Chapter 107: Killing The Boss Without Using Skills
There was no surprise among the experienced members of the Mad Wolves. They had already known that the goblin village contained a boss and two mini-bosses. The problem was not identifying their enemies, but defeating them while minimizing their own losses.
One of the Guardians lowered his shield slightly and examined the wooden gate separating them from the village.
"Captain, the gate is reinforced with several layers of timber. We could break through it with our weapons, but that would take time. The goblins might use that opportunity to launch another coordinated attack."
Kyle turned toward the mages in their formation.
"Mages, concentrate your spells on the gate! Destroy it in one attack if you can. The moment the entrance opens, the front line will advance. Don’t give those goblins another opportunity to prepare."
The mages immediately began gathering mana.
Several magical circles appeared in front of them, glowing with different colors as their spells took shape. One mage summoned a swirling mass of fire, another formed a concentrated sphere of wind, while a third gathered enough earth energy to create a heavy projectile.
"Fireball!"
"Wind Blast!"
"Earth Shot!"
The spells flew toward the gate simultaneously.
BOOM!
The wooden structure shuddered under the combined impact. Flames engulfed its surface, powerful gusts tore away the outer planks, and the earth projectile smashed through the weakened center.
The reinforced gate could no longer withstand the assault. Its supports snapped, and the entire structure collapsed inward with a deafening crash.
Broken wood scattered across the ground, leaving the entrance to the goblin village completely exposed.
Kyle raised his greatsword.
"Everyone, move in! The Guardians will protect our formation, and the ranged fighters will deal with the archers. Don’t let the ordinary goblins surround us!"
The Mad Wolves charged through the destroyed gate.
The goblins immediately reacted to the intrusion. Several warriors rushed forward with crude axes and spears, while the archers abandoned their damaged positions and began firing from behind the huts.
However, the adventurers were already inside the village, where the goblins could no longer rely on their elevated positions to maintain the same advantage.
Kyle did not waste time dealing with the ordinary monsters.
His target was the boss.
The two Hobgoblin Warriors recognized the threat immediately and moved to intercept him. One charged from the left, raising its heavy axe above its head, while the other approached from the right with a thick iron club. Their movements were surprisingly coordinated for creatures that appeared so brutish, and both attempted to attack Kyle at the same time.
Unfortunately for them, Kyle was no longer the inexperienced hunter who had first entered this dungeon.
The first Hobgoblin brought its axe down.
Kyle shifted his body to the side, allowing the weapon to crash into the ground beside him. Before the creature could recover, he swung his greatsword upward and struck its torso with tremendous force.
The Hobgoblin staggered backward, its crude armor splitting beneath the impact.
Kyle immediately followed with another attack.
His greatsword swept horizontally, striking the monster before it could regain its balance. The Hobgoblin was thrown sideways, crashing into the ground and struggling to rise. Kyle did not give it the opportunity. He stepped forward and delivered a final blow, ending its life.
The second Hobgoblin had already reached him.
It roared and swung its iron club toward Kyle’s head, using its considerable strength to create a powerful gust of wind. Kyle raised his greatsword to block the attack.
CLANG!
The weapons collided, producing a deafening metallic impact. The Hobgoblin had enough strength to make the ground tremble beneath its feet, but Kyle barely moved. He pushed against the club, forcing the monster’s arms upward before stepping into its reach.
Then, with a powerful twist of his waist, he swung his greatsword.
The blade struck the Hobgoblin’s side, breaking through its armor and sending it crashing into a nearby hut. The wooden structure collapsed under the monster’s weight, burying it beneath a pile of broken planks.
Kyle approached without hesitation.
The Hobgoblin attempted to stand, but its movements had become sluggish. Before it could recover, Kyle raised his weapon and brought it down, killing the second mini-boss with a decisive strike.
The entire exchange had taken only a short time.
Meanwhile, the Goblin Shaman had finished preparing another spell.
Seeing both of its guardians defeated, the shaman raised its staff and unleashed a burst of magical energy. A blazing fireball formed above its head before hurtling toward Kyle, its intense heat scorching the ground along its path.
Kyle turned toward the incoming spell.
Instead of retreating, he stepped forward and swung his greatsword.
The blade struck the fireball head-on, dispersing the magic in a violent explosion. Flames burst around him, but his armor endured the heat, and he emerged from the blast without any serious injuries.
The Goblin Shaman’s eyes widened.
It hurriedly began chanting another incantation, but Kyle was already closing the distance. The shaman tried to retreat behind a wooden platform, desperately gathering mana to defend itself.
It was too late.
Kyle reached the creature in a few powerful strides and swung his greatsword.
The shaman attempted to raise its staff, but the weapon could not withstand the force of the blow. Kyle’s greatsword smashed through its defenses, sending the creature tumbling across the ground. Before it could cast another spell, he delivered a second strike, ending the battle.
The Goblin Shaman fell silent.
For a brief moment, Kyle stood in the middle of the village, his greatsword resting at his side. The bodies of the two Hobgoblin Warriors and the Goblin Shaman lay behind him, marking the end of the village’s strongest defenders.
He had defeated all three without activating a single skill.
His Berserker class, Level 30 strength, and combat experience had been enough to overcome the boss and its two guardians through raw physical power and weapon mastery alone.
"Captain killed the boss!"
One of the Mad Wolves called out from behind him.
After a short while, the battle was over.
The adventurers regrouped near the center of the village. The three Guardians lowered their shields, finally allowing the protective barrier to disappear. The mages checked their remaining mana, while the melee fighters inspected their weapons and armor.
"Everyone, report your condition," Kyle ordered.
One by one, his teammates confirmed that they were safe. The barrier had absorbed most of the arrows, and Kyle had dealt with the most dangerous enemies before they could cause serious trouble.
