Harry Returning from Hogwarts Legacy
Chapter 941 - 382: Vivi’s Confession (Part 2)
Chapter 941: Chapter 382: Vivi’s Confession (Part 2)
Harry agreed with this point. After all, the first time he visited Nimongard, he thought Gellert looked quite cute, and his little face seemed to be quite pinchable, just that he always gave him a look of annoyance.
The two of them would always bicker whenever they met, even now it’s the same.
The nickname "Scarhead Enchantress" was given to him by eight-year-old Gellert.
Giving nicknames depends on talent, some people come up with eternal ones as soon as they open their mouths.
As they say, there are no wrong nicknames, only wrong real names. Harry was indeed a Scarhead Enchantress, this was something Gellert truly got right.
"White Swan? The Tu-160, right?" Harry asked with a mischievous grin.
Without missing a beat, Vivi, who was well-read in Muggle World materials, smacked him on the forehead.
"Don’t think I don’t know what that is!" Vivi huffed adorably, "A thousand diplomatic protests aren’t worth a White Swan flapping its wings... Don’t think I don’t know what the Tu-160 is!"
(Vivi does know)
"Truth be told, I think you’re scarier than a strategic bomber." Harry said with a mischievous grin, "See, at least a strategic bomber can’t get from London to Vienna in seconds, no matter how powerful the ballistic missile is... As for your magic spell, it should still fall short of Big Ivan’s."
Vivi made a fist and gently punched Harry’s arm a few times.
Thanks to Mr. Tolemei, he put together a fun encyclopedia within a crystal ball, filled with all sorts of encyclopedic knowledge from the Magic World and the Muggle World—adapted by Mr. Leme into interesting little stories based on his life experiences.
Wizards would browse encyclopedia pages to pass the time when bored, and quite a bit of Harry’s knowledge was acquired from this fun encyclopedia.
Live and learn, Harry had this awareness; you can’t understand the Wizarding World without knowledge of the Muggle World!
"Keep watching."
As soon as Vivi finished speaking, the scene from their memories transformed again.
They were now in a small forest.
Under the sunlight, a small river flowed through the trees, shimmering and reflecting light, with the green shade casting a cool chill.
The two kids sat on the ground facing each other, cross-legged.
Snape had already taken off his coat, and in the half-light, the strange maternity dress didn’t seem so glaring.
"It seems like they really were good friends when they were kids." Harry’s eyes flickered, unsure how to... face this scene.
As James’ son, he should be unhappy—but the fact told him that Snape was actually there first.
It was me first, obviously me first, wasn’t it?
"Keep watching," Vivi said softly.
Over there, Snape spoke again.
"... If you use magic outside school, the Ministry of Magic will punish you, you’ll receive a letter."
"But I’ve used magic outside school!" Lily blinked with innocent eyes.
"It’s okay, Lily, we don’t have magic wands yet." Snape said with a sense of importance, "You should know, kids really can’t control themselves, so they don’t care—as soon as we turn eleven and go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, then you’ll have to be careful."
They fell silent for a while.
Lily picked up a stick from the ground and twirled it quickly in the air.
Then she threw away the stick, leaned toward the boy and asked, "Is this real, right? Not a joke? Penny said you’re lying to me—Penny just said there’s no such thing as Hogwarts, is this real, right?"
"It’s real for us," Snape said, "It’s not real for her. We’ll get the letter, you and me."
"Really?" Lily asked softly.
"Absolutely," Snape said, despite his unruly hair and peculiar clothes, sitting in front of her with an air of confidence in his future.
"Is the letter truly delivered by owl?" Lily asked quietly.
"Usually, yes," Snape said, "But you’re Muggle-born, so the school will send someone to explain it to your parents."
"Is there anything different about being Muggle-born?"
Snape hesitated, his dark eyes eager in the green shadows, looking at Lily’s pale face and her deep red hair.
"No," he said, "There’s nothing different."
"That’s great." Lily said, with relief, showing that she had been worrying about it.
"You’ll learn lots of magic," Snape said, "I’ve seen it. I’ve been watching you secretly too..."
His voice became lighter. Lily didn’t listen to him talking, but rather stretched out her limbs and laid on the leaf-covered ground, gazing at the dense leaves overhead.
Snape watched her longingly, just like he did on the playground.
"Such a lovesick fool." Vivi’s voice was light but exceedingly sarcastic, "Just like Cassandra watching your back back then—"
"Hey, no, stop making stuff up..." Harry stopped Vivi from speaking, "How could Cassandra look at me like that? According to our status difference, it should have been me looking at her instead."
"But you didn’t, Harry." Vivi smiled lightly, "Back then you always thought Cassandra simply saw you as a follower, but honestly, in your first year, she might have thought so—I’ve chatted with her about this, understand some of the details... Mr. Septimus found out you were a time traveler from the School Board, then he locked down the information, planning to bind you tightly to the Malfoy family through Cassandra... Unfortunately he miscalculated, Mr. Old Malfoy never realized that you were actually a..."
"Scarhead Enchantress." Harry quickly cut in.
Then Vivi slapped him on the forehead.
"Yes, Scarhead Enchantress." Vivi snorted, "After Mr. Old Malfoy learned about his daughter’s shifting attitude, out of love for his daughter and talent for you, Mr. Old Malfoy decided to cultivate you in a different way, otherwise, how could he take you to various formal occasions?"
"So, was this why he took me to Vienna for the Austria-Hungary banquet at Christmas in 1888?" Harry asked, scratching his head.
"Yes." Vivi’s expression became rather odd at this point, looking like she was holding back laughter, "But neither Mr. Old Malfoy nor Cassandra expected that a trip to Vienna would see a Scarhead Enchantress take up a girl’s entire world."
Her eyes shone with crystal brilliance, like a galaxy twinkling within.
"You know? When you came riding a Flying Broom from the sky, I felt like I had my own hero."
"A—a hero?" Harry felt rather parched, uncertain why he experienced such feelings even in this mental world.
"Certainly." Vivi’s tone was tender, "Back then I felt my hero didn’t have to be a Savior of the world, nor a prince or noble; he was just a brave little boy riding his broom, standing before me."
Harry felt his heart racing.
"Was this your reason for coming to Hogwarts?" He swallowed and asked.
"Why else would I choose not to attend Durmstrang and instead travel all the way to the U.K., to study at Hogwarts?" Vivi immediately switched to a disdainful expression, "Did you think I chose it for Hogwarts’ distance from home, or because I’m unfamiliar with Hogwarts, or because I had to learn another foreign language?"
