Harry Returning from Hogwarts Legacy
Chapter 935 - 379: Master’s Task_2
Chapter 935: Chapter 379: Master’s Task_2
"This... this too..."
Mr. Mei Jie was truly shocked this time, extending one’s lifespan? For a Muggle politician like him, how tempting is that?
Very few people can resist the temptation of longevity, especially dignitaries.
Not everyone is as generous as Liu Bang, who can calmly accept death. Most dignitaries are unwilling to part with the wealth they have fought for in this lifetime.
Perhaps, only standing in front of death, is the gap between rich and poor at its smallest.
But as a respectable person, Mr. Mei Jie wasn’t hastily trying to get Little Sirius to connect him with Mr. Leme. Instead, he kept the matter in his heart, planning to ask once he got to know Little Sirius better.
Little Sirius left a very good impression on him, perhaps because Little Sirius seemed much higher than Fudge in terms of appearance, or maybe because Little Sirius didn’t treat him with the arrogance, that overbearing manner—in any case, Mr. Mei Jie was still willing to communicate more with him.
"This crystal ball seems much more convenient than the phones we use." Mr. Mei Jie said with a touch of envy, shifting the topic back to the crystal ball, "So we ordinary people—the kind without magic power—can use it?"
"You can." Little Sirius said with a laugh, "But it would cost much more than the ordinary version, you know, considering Mr. Leme has to spend time and effort developing this additional version, right?"
Mr. Mei Jie was tempted.
"Of course." Little Sirius said while the iron was hot, "To facilitate our communication, the Ministry of Magic will be sending some of these crystal balls to 10 Downing Street."
"That would be fantastic." Mr. Mei Jie said happily.
Not long after, people from the Ministry of Magic arrived at the outskirts of 10 Downing Street.
After communicating with the guards, these wizards entered the Prime Minister’s Residence.
Actually, they could have come straight in, but since they were on Muggle territory, they still had to abide by Muggle rules.
Little Sirius didn’t want to leave people with the impression that wizards act as they please, as it’s not just about representing him personally but the entire wizarding world.
Upon confirmation, the captured Death Eaters were: Antonin Dolohov, Bellatrix Lestrange, Rabastan Lestrange, Rodolphus Lestrange, Augustus Lucrewood, and Walton MacNeil.
"Seems like you two are really unlucky today." Little Sirius said with a smile looking at Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange; they’re nominally a married couple.
But even Little Sirius knows the stories between them.
There are no airtight walls in this world; secrets may not be easily spread, but gossip...
Everyone knows Bellatrix has a complicated relationship with Voldemort.
This Rodolphus Lestrange... well, how should I put it?
He’s quite green, with a large pampas grassland on his head.
It’s a wonder Rodolphus can still be faithful to Voldemort, perhaps he has some kind of unique preference?
It truly belongs to the master’s task.
Rodolphus said nothing at all; in fact, he couldn’t say anything with the Tongue Seal and Throat Lock in place.
"What are you going to do with them?" Mr. Mei Jie asked curiously, "I mean—um, how can you ensure they won’t escape again?"
"We punish escapees from Azkaban with the Dementor’s Kiss." Little Sirius replied, "You can think of it as your Muggle version of a vegetable—is that how it’s referred to?"
"Yes, a vegetable." Mr. Mei Jie nodded.
"Once subjected to such punishment from a Dementor, they become like vegetables." Little Sirius explained in a way Mr. Mei Jie could understand.
"Wow." Mr. Mei Jie was somewhat surprised, "That’s very... humane."
"Most wizards have kind hearts, much like ordinary people." Little Sirius said, "So I believe the Ministry of Magic and 10 Downing Street need further exchanges to fully understand each other, wouldn’t you agree?"
"I couldn’t ask for more." Mr. Mei Jie said happily.
"Well," Little Sirius looked back at the Dark Wizards being escorted by Aurors before saying, "we’re ready to leave here, it was a pleasure meeting with you, Mr. Mei Jie."
Mr. Mei Jie smiled, but it wasn’t very natural.
It’s clear he’s still traumatically affected by today’s Death Eaters’ attack on Downing Street.
After comforting him with a few words and leaving a team of Aurors for Mr. Mei Jie to arrange, Little Sirius took Harry and left.
"I still need to go to the Ministry of Magic to deal with their issues." Little Sirius said to Harry, "You should head back to 12 Grimmauld Square first."
After parting with Little Sirius, Harry wasn’t in a hurry to return but instead went to Little Whinging, Privet Drive.
This old house carried his memories from ages one to eleven—although the memories aren’t that pleasant, they still hold those memories.
Privet Drive hasn’t been listed for sale by the Dursley family, even though they’ve now become affluent, they haven’t forgotten the old house. Every summer, the whole family would return here for a few days.
Apparently, Harry came at a lucky time today; there’s someone inside the house.
He stepped forward and knocked on the door.
After a moment, the door opened.
"Harry?!"
The person who opened the door was none other than Harry’s cousin, Dudley.
Dudley looked completely different from his childhood days. He wasn’t the big-bellied little chubby kid anymore but had become a fit young man.
Under his shirt, his muscles bulged; Harry instantly recalled the letter his cousin sent him at Christmas, saying he’d won the Southeastern Junior Heavyweight Inter-school Boxing Championship.
"Hey, cousin." Harry greeted him with a smile, "Long time no see."
"It really has been a long time—it’s been two years, hasn’t it? Come in." Dudley happily invited Harry inside for a visit.
Harry accepted Dudley’s invitation, entered the house, and found only Dudley inside; the Dursleys were nowhere to be seen.
"Where are Aunt Penny and Uncle Vernon?" he asked curiously as he sat on the sofa with Dudley.
"They went on vacation." Dudley said casually, "This year, I didn’t feel like going with them, so I came back to the old house to enjoy some peace—I honestly feel Harry, why do the days feel less fun than before? Ever since our family got money, I don’t feel very happy every day."
Harry looked at Dudley, unable to speak for a long time.
"What’s wrong?" Dudley asked, puzzled.
"How long have you had this condition?" Harry asked with a dark expression.
"Condition?" Dudley jumped off the sofa, "Oh my, am I sick?"
"I mean, when did you start catching this ’full-and-satiated’ condition?" Harry rolled his eyes, "People like you who live a happy life yet feel empty, we usually call them ’full-and-satiated’!"
"Oh?" Dudley processed it for a while before understanding what Harry meant: "So, you’re actually scolding me, right?"
"How could I, my dear cousin?" Harry feigned a smile, "We’re cousins, how could I scold you?"
He then secretly added in his heart—while Dudley might have slimmed down and no longer the pig with a wig, it feels like he’s turned his already limited brain into muscle instead.
