Chapter 927 - 375: A "Lively" Dinner Party (Part 2)
Chapter 927: Chapter 375: A "Lively" Dinner Party (Part 2)
"Acid green, Professor." Ron replied swiftly.
Professor Snape barely lifted the corner of his mouth, expressing his satisfaction with Ron’s performance in the pop quiz.
"It’s really been a tough time for you, Professor Snape." Mrs. Weasley said to Professor Snape.
Professor Snape spoke slowly.
"Training a Little Giant is indeed a tough job, Madam."
Mrs. Weasley was taken aback.
Isn’t it?
The Little Giant you mentioned is my son, right? It must be my son, right?
However, she did not get angry; after all, when they were in school, professors were not only sarcastic but used to punish students physically.
Just calling him a Little Giant, it’s nothing much really.
They sat down in the living room, and it was evident that Snape and the Malfoys were on the same wavelength, while everyone else was in their own groups, each chatting amongst themselves, clearly divided.
Except for Harry, who sat with Cassandra, sometimes touching, making Cassandra look disdainful, but her body remained honest.
After quite a while, Little Sirius finally arrived.
When he opened the door and entered the room, he was a bit embarrassed and said, "Sorry, everyone—there’s been some business at the Ministry of Magic... Kreacher? Why haven’t you turned my mother’s portrait over yet?"
With that, Little Sirius reached out and turned Walburga’s portrait over.
The moment it was turned, Walburga angrily cursed, "It’s been half a year already, how come you’ve just thought of turning your mother’s portrait over? What did I do to give birth to such a..."
"Sorry, Mom." Little Sirius said somewhat apologetically, "The Ministry of Magic has been busy lately, oh I haven’t told you? I’m now the Minister of Magic."
"...to give birth to such an excellent son!" Walburga instantly shifted expressions upon hearing Little Sirius’s words.
Being turned over after half a year, no problem! My son is the Minister of Magic! This is far more worth rejoicing over—oh right, his godson is also a Legendary Wizard from a century ago!
"I need to go attend to the guests, Mom." Little Sirius smiled apologetically at Walburga, "There are guests at home today, I need to host them."
"No problem, good son!" Walburga said loudly, "You’re the Minister of Magic now, make sure you don’t lose manners towards guests... Kreacher! You get down here! Hurry and tidy the house from inside out! Be quick!"
Little Sirius shrugged, left the hallway, and walked into the living room.
"Sorry, everyone, I’m late." he said.
"Looks like Miss Black finally decided to return to her boudoir, did she?" Snape mocked mercilessly.
"Shut up, nos... Snape." Little Sirius forcibly swallowed the sentence. Previously, mentioning the nickname was no issue, but now he’s the Minister, he absolutely can’t lose his dignity.
"Little Sirius."
Harry stood up, and shared a hug with the godfather.
Then he asked, "Did you come back alone?"
Little Sirius was baffled by the question.
"Otherwise?"
"Miss Farley?" Harry asked teasingly, "I remember she’s your girlfriend, isn’t she? Why didn’t you bring her home too?"
"Oh," Little Sirius patted his forehead, "They’re still in the back, Lady Grindelwald and Jemma will be here shortly."
"Miss Farley?"
Snape leaned back tactically, his sharp eyes staring directly at Little Sirius.
"Which Farley? Is it Jemma Farley from the class of ’87?"
"Yes." Little Sirius shrugged indifferently, "Speaking of which, she even used to be the prefect of Slytherin."
Snape disdainfully leaned his head back.
"You and Lupin, you two are really best friends, both equally shameless—just look at you, nearly forty years old, yet you prey on eighteen or nineteen-year-old girls, you all really are... birds of a feather."
"Oh, it’s better than someone being single till now." Little Sirius retorted, "At least I won’t lose my childhood sweetheart."
Snape’s pupils contracted suddenly.
That statement was really... as the saying goes, one shouldn’t hit someone’s face, nor expose someone’s shortcomings. Little Sirius not only hit the face but exposed the shortcomings.
The statement was as harmful to Snape as ten Crucios bound together.
Especially with the son of the childhood sweetheart right beside him, and more painful, the son was born with his nemesis.
Pain, such pain.
"Okay, okay." Mr. Weasley, seeing the situation wasn’t right, quickly stood up to intervene, "I think we should start dinner, shouldn’t we? Little Sirius, how is Kreacher’s dinner preparation going? Could you check on it? We’re all getting really hungry."
"Yes, we’re getting really hungry." The twins chimed in to say.
Little Sirius took the chance from Mr. Weasley’s words to slip away, leaving Snape behind, sending Divine Shadowless Blades with his gaze.
The atmosphere in the living room felt awkward, the Malfoy couple were unsure how to comfort Snape, while the others clearly didn’t want to touch this bad luck.
Instead, Draco, perhaps unaware of consequences, asked, "Little Sirius Uncle just said..."
Halfway through the question, he was swiftly restrained by Narcissa.
Tongue Seal and Throat Lock (physical).
Draco made a muffled sound and realized he couldn’t break free from his mother’s physical silence, so he had to give up.
Lucius sat upright, looking straight, but in his heart he was already delighted.
He had a fairly good relationship with Snape, and of course knew about the past between the other and "childhood sweetheart" Lily Evans.
Oh right, now it should be Lily Potter.
Speaking objectively, Lucius wasn’t too fond of Evans during school, especially since she came from a Mud—Muggle Species background.
But now it’s different, Mrs. Potter is Harry Potter’s mother and is absolutely worthy of the title of the most magnificent mother of this century.
In this strange atmosphere, the door was opened again.
In the living room, Walburga’s loud voice could be heard.
"Welcome, distinguished Miss Grindelwald, I’m pleased to see you."
And then Vivi’s gentle voice followed.
"I’m pleased too, Mrs. Black."
Just from the sound of her voice, Vivi didn’t seem like the queen-type woman, which was a bit of contrast cuteness.
Not long after, Vivi and Miss Farley walked into the living room together.
Almost instantly, she sensed the peculiar atmosphere in the living room.
"What’s happening, everyone?" Vivi asked with a smile, "Why is everyone sitting here silently? Did something happen?"
Harry made intense hints to Vivi, indicating for her to sit over here, not to speak.
Vivi seemed to grasp the message and nodded. She glanced at Cassandra, who was trying not to laugh, and sat next to Harry, asking in a barely audible voice, "What happened?"
"I’ll tell you tonight." Harry replied quietly, "For now, let’s just be quiet."
Can’t tell now?
Oh, it does seem to be that way.
Miss Farley looked around the living room but couldn’t find Little Sirius, so she asked, "Hey? Where’s Little Sirius?"
"In the kitchen." Ron seemed eager to take a breath, answered rapidly.
"Then I’ll go help Little Sirius in the kitchen." Miss Farley volunteered, she too sensed the odd atmosphere.
After Miss Farley left, not long later Little Sirius returned to the living room with her.
"Ready to eat, folks." He delightedly announced to everyone.
Everyone finally breathed a sigh of relief, and when Draco stood up, he was pinched forcefully by his mother from behind.
Confused, he turned around only to meet his mother’s warning gaze to keep his mouth shut.
Otherwise, you’ll be in trouble!
