Chapter 1361: A Fresh Start
Chapter 1361: A Fresh Start
Hello everyone, and I hope that you can see this message before you unlock the chapter with coins — I'd be flattered if you did, but seriously, use a fast pass — and I have an important message to share with you.
Guild Wars has gone through some serious ups and downs during its lifespan, suffering from a mixture of my own failures with the novel and external factors from real life coming in to interfere, causing it to flounder.
It also suffered from writing flaws, like repetitive stat screens and skill descriptions, overly long lore dump chapters, and some arcs that were stretched too long, i.e., the core member tournaments.
Inasmuch as the recent chapters tried to be more exciting with sharp plot changes and developments, the early flaws dug into the novel's potential and exhausted it, causing many to drop it along the way in favor of younger, more exciting works.
For a while now, as early as mid-2025, before the novel stopped releasing chapters on a daily basis, some longstanding readers who had persevered this far for various reasons boldly suggested that I reboot the novel, eliminate the flaws, and retain the essence to recreate the potential it had lost.
I felt this was a tall task because readers who left likely had formed opinions and wouldn't come back, while those of you who stayed want to see this particular story end, not another version of it.
But I looked at it and realized that, indeed, much could be done to fix this with a reboot.
On top of that, why reboot the same thing? You've already come this far and seen it all, especially with the recent revelations, having dug out all the deep plot points I reserved for later.
So rather than repeat the story, we are going to enhance it and switch things up a bit.
Firstly, the new story occurs in Boundless World's sci-fi version, which many of you have clamored for. We start right off with sci-fi and how it affects the main world, the new powers, factions, and situations it brings to the status quo.
Secondly, altered history. We have already seen in detail the origin of everything, from the creation of the universe to the lineages, to the birth of the three main characters, and why it all went wrong. As chapter 30 cannot occur this time due to me not wanting backlash of that scale again, it means that the origins of the trio have to change a bit, and mostly for the better.
Thirdly, recurring characters. As the reboot resets the world and history, some characters will cease to exist and no longer appear, while others will stay and have their fates altered to match the new scenarios based on what we know. This allows me to cut down the roster and remove those who filled it without adding value, while keeping the core characters who moved the plot and are well-liked by you all.
Finally, the romance and harem. It is an undeniable fact that many of you enjoyed the novel when Draco was mostly free to frolic, with Eva and Shuangtian doing their own things rather than sticking with him like plasters. In this case, the reborn duo are far more independent and harder to control than last time, leading to very interesting dynamics and situations.
I've added the recommendation for the new book in the author's words down below, so click on it and give it a read. It's still in the early phase, but I'm more than confident that you will like what you see.
Before I go, there's something I'd like to ask of you all. In order to prevent the reboot from sinking into oblivion within 's recesses, we have to collectively come together to prop it up and beat the algorithm.
To that end, I would like you to bombard the novel with reviews from the first day you read it to help with visibility and promotion.
Also, leave a chapter comment on each chapter, even if it's just "nice!" or "hi," as this also helps with visibility.
Along with three power stones a day — invest them all!
And finally, when the novel is signed and gifts are enabled, the wealthier ones can drop golden gachapons and spacecrafts to get site-wide announcements. That one is crucial. Just one of those from a single supporter of my other novel, Infinite Slaughter System, propelled it to three times its reader value last month.
The rest we can take as it comes, but we must firmly put our feet in first place and let the entire .community know that we are the tyrants of this era!
Rather than add useless content below to fill the word count requirements per chapter, I will post my draft of what should have been the contents of the actual chapter here.

A few hours ago, Loki was in his bedroom, now decorated lavishly as he was the Devil King presiding over the land. He had sat in the position for over a year now, and all the initial awkwardness had practically faded away into familiarity.
"My King, you have to get up." A soft and youthful voice sounded, revealing itself to be the naked Martha, who was being held in Loki's arms as he rested.
Her youthful face was locked in a blush, her devil tail swinging happily left and right, as this past year had been the most idyllic for her. Her feelings for Loki had run deep ever since they were babbling toddlers, and now they were finally able to consummate them.
Most importantly, Loki was not like the previous Devil Kings who were fixated on rank and position. He had actually elevated her, a mere maid meant for his sexual use, into one of his concubines, something that had shocked the many members of the royal family.
However, any complaints that tried to arise were brutally suppressed, first by Queen Mother Zaine and then by Ancestral Queen Crysta. These two were like gigantic behemoths standing behind Loki, suppressing any civil problems for him with their power, preventing many from even being able to access the young man.
After all, such a young fellow, even if his bloodline was exemplary and his future bright, was still a young man, right? That way, if they could get close to him now, they could gain his trust, or in the absence of that, at least alter his values and thoughts to their benefit.
However, with these two matronly titans in the way, many had to lower their heads and bide their time, looking for other avenues to strike. The Devil Race was not unified in the way one might think, where all were of the same mind.
Even the human race could not attain such a feat, and they were not a naturally troublemaking race like the Devils. It stood to highlight Mephisto's ability that he had managed to maintain peace among the Devil Race even as they expanded rapidly and became stronger.
However, in recent years, as expansion slowed down due to heavy resistance from the Minotaur Race, the restless Devils had begun to act up once more, slowly becoming unruly and cannibalizing each other in a non-fatalistic way.
Usually, this was fine, as Devils were wary of each other, being cognizant of their own tricks, and opting to prey on the other races of the world who had no defenses against their methods. However, they were currently trapped within this Side Realm for the most part, having to pay an extremely terrible price to shift to the main plane.
So without others to toy with, they could only toy with each other.
This was beginning to cause Loki headaches, and since he was not nearly as diplomatic as his grandfather or father, he preferred to solve things like a tyrant due to his spoiled upbringing. However, Devils were precisely insufferable to all races because they were the type to squeal the most when being lashed for their crimes and display extreme remorse when questioned, but the moment they were let go, they would do it again — and even worse.
That was why, despite not even having activated his panel and being so young, Loki had opted to leave the castle and come to the frontline to fight.
