Chapter 267: Return

Because of everything that had happened, and how long Shin had stayed in the test area, once he entered the Tower again, he didn’t need to go through the last test.

Actually, both he and Carolina immediately received the notification about receiving their ultimate systems. However, Lisa immediately messed with the system, and Fae was the one interacting with the screen, just making sure the imperial queen wouldn’t have any direct power over Shin.

Still, they had one real problem: Shin didn’t want to go to the first floor, because he wanted to travel incognito. Luckily, Lisa had been able to choose which floor they would appear in, but not the location within the floor.

So, right at that point, he was somewhere in a forest in the middle of the 16th floor, with no civilization in sight. The 16th floor was not a very densely populated floor, and it was known for being a really big dimension in terms of space, so finding civilization could prove quite hard.

"So, what should we do?" Livia asked, looking around in confusion.

"Well, we need to find some city. Ideally, you should go back to your clan," Shin commented to Livia. He actually wanted her to publish her findings.

"And what about me?" Carolina quickly asked, raising a hand happily, her big breasts jiggling sexily.

"You could start finding us the best path forward," Shin commented.

Lisa, at that exact moment, turned her attention to the conversation. "Carolina is far too important a resource," she said flatly. "She stays close by. Always."

Carolina smiled happily, hearing how important she was, and Shin gave her ass a hard smack, telling her to get to work fast.

The sexy tanned woman pouted, but obeyed, activating her skill. Normally she would look for the most profitable route, but this time she was looking for the smallest risk.

The group set off through the forest, Carolina leading the way with a confident smirk, her hips rolling and her beauty catching Shin’s attention. However, her confidence was shattered the moment they met their first monster.

"Fuck!" she gasped, immediately jumping into Shin’s arms, pressing her soft curves against him. But before the creature could even try anything, its body was severed in half.

Yasmin had been going ahead, leveling the forest, and that monster was just one she took a second too long to kill.

Still, for a floor that was supposed to be dangerous, the woods were strangely quiet. They encountered only one more monster during the rest of the trek.

It was a huge boar, which Shin killed easily and kept in his dimensional ring, planning on using it as food later.

And just as the sun was setting, they also found running water that looked clear. Carolina checked it, confirming that the risk of drinking from the small river was zero. Having her around really made everything more convenient and easier.

They filled their canteens and washed the dust from the test area off their faces. Given the time, it was time to stop. They would probably be able to find civilization with one more day.

"We should sleep here," Shin decided. "It’s a good spot, we have water nearby, and the trees will shelter us."

He reached into his dimensional ring and pulled out camping material: a tent, bedrolls, and a small cooking set. The girls helped him gather dry wood, and soon a warm fire crackled in the center of their camp, casting dancing shadows on the surrounding trees.

All the girls sat around the fire. For a moment, there was a comfortable silence, broken only by the crackling of the flames.

Then Yasmin returned from scouting the region around and hugged Shin from behind, becoming visible as she did so, pressing her rock-hard nipples against his back through the thin fabric of her clothes.

"So, my king, please allow me to take care of you before we fall asleep." She began acting seductively, her voice low and teasing in his ear, her hands wandering.

Shin’s body reacted immediately, a fact that was impossible to hide. But his mind hesitated as his eyes fell on Lisa. Everything had happened so fast since her return.

They had been working on so many things that they hadn’t had a single second to talk about... this. Still, he wondered what she felt about him having a harem.

Lisa noticed his stare. Her lips curled into a teasing smirk.

"Go on, go fuck your slut," she said, pretending to be angry, her eyes falling on Yasmin. "Don’t mind me."

Shin opened his mouth to protest, but Lisa’s expression softened into a genuine smile.

"I was dead anyway," she explained with a shrug, then she tilted her head at an angle. "I’m not sure if I can be called alive anymore."

Not caring too much about the dark question, she floated closer to her husband, leaning on his head.

"I don’t really care much about what you do with your body. I’m fine with how things are." She paused, her tone turning more serious. "But I do want you to work on getting me a proper body in the future. That’s a promise, okay?"

"Of course," Shin said softly.

"Anyway, our priority is beating the game," Lisa continued. "We can discuss the details later. And I know you love me anyway, so... it’s all good."

Shin’s heart swelled with gratitude. Before he could respond, Yasmin pulled him into a passionate kiss, her arms wrapping around his neck.

Livia and Fae immediately blushed, looking anywhere but at the couple. Fae’s cheeks were bright red, and Livia was suddenly very interested in the flames of the fire.

Carolina, on the other hand, made no effort to hide her annoyance, and she clenched her thighs, feeling the heat down there.

"Your complete lack of decency is honestly impressive," she complained, crossing her arms. "We’re in the middle of a hostile forest, and you two are acting like you’re on a honeymoon."

Shin broke the kiss just long enough to grin at her. "Jealous?"

Carolina’s face flushed. "Absolutely not!"
