Chapter 2613: Dangerous World.

Their summons is acting like their true body, so they can use all of their divine abilities and ultimate abilities with it. Even if they want to pretend to only have the pathway of telepathy, they can still use their Roaming divine ability to create many virtual bodies and virtual copies of their mind to overcome the god of knowledge.

Using this move shouldn’t cost them anything. But they didn’t do it because they could sense immense danger around them.

To them, it felt as if everything around them was dangerous to them. It felt as if the whole world was one large trap.

This shouldn’t be the case because their current body was supposed to be a summons created from their past forms, so if it fails, the person who should suffer is the god of history.

But for some reason, Legion could sense a danger to their true body in the Mindscape. So they decided to hold back.

Perhaps the most frustrating part of their situation is that something about this world is familiar to them. So they should be able tell what the danger is, but something is blocking their perception of the world around them.

The other gods had one reason or another for holding back. This caused their attacking power to diminish. This angered the god of history, and he decided to use his own offensive divine abilities.

The god of history used the rank 6 Laser Eyes divine ability to turn all the eyes on his body into weapons capable of shooting energy projectiles. His eyes began shooting red projectiles, which bombarded the barrier around the god of knowledge.

Because he was twice as powerful as the god of knowledge, the energy projectiles quickly broke the barrier around the god of knowledge and bombarded the true body of the god of knowledge. This was the first time that the god of knowledge would be injured in this fight.

This turn of events caused the body of the god of knowledge to fracture and crack. The god of history also pressed the advantage, so he didn’t hold back on the bombardment at all.

He didn’t want to use his divine abilities in front of the god of knowledge because he didn’t want the god of knowledge to learn what he is capable of. But once he has made up his mind to use his divine abilities, he has to go all the way and make sure that it kills the god of knowledge.

His heavy bombardment of the god of knowledge caused small pieces of the giant white tower to break and drift away from the god of knowledge. The injury to the god of knowledge was clearly severe.

The sight of the injury to the god of knowledge was a good thing, and it brought a smile to the face of the god of history. But as the god of history saw the drifting parts of the tower fall onto the large ball that the god of knowledge had made as the empty mind for their fusion, the god of history noticed something that he hadn’t noticed before.

Apparently, the god of knowledge had used Knowledge Obscuration on the empty mind before he let the god of history use it. This hid some of the capabilities of the large white ball and made the god of history see something else.

Now that the true effect of the large ball was being activated, what the god of knowledge had hidden couldn’t be hidden from the god of history anymore. So the god of history realized that he had been fooled.

The god of history couldn’t believe that he had been fooled. Even when his many eyes looked around him, he could tell that he had been fooled.

It wasn’t until he used the Heavenly Eye ultimate ability that he realized that there was a boundary to the world that he was experiencing, when there shouldn’t be a boundary or limit to how far he can place his heavenly eye.

The Heavenly Eye ultimate ability is capable of placing its eye anywhere in the physical dimension, regardless of distance. As long as he has seen the place before, he can always place his eye there.

But now, he can’t place his eyes beyond a certain limit. The fact that he couldn’t create an eye past a certain distance made him understand that he wasn’t in the real world anymore, but in a small virtual world that looked incredibly similar to the real world.

So he looked at the god of knowledge in shock and asked, “Since when did you trap me here?”

The giant white tower replied, “Since the beginning. Since you took a look at the empty mind. I had used Knowledge Obscuration to prevent you from seeing the true nature of the empty mind while I used Knowledge Barrage to force the empty mind to attack itself on your mind.”

As the god of knowledge spoke, he became more and more amused. He was also proud of his accomplishment, so he laughed as he explained what he had done.

He said smugly to the god of history, “As you can now see, the empty mind wasn’t really empty. It was really the nexus of a virtual mental world.”

“The best part of it is that it doesn’t act like an illusion where it pretends to be real. What it does is allow us to make it whole. Whatever we think the world should look like is what it will look like and how it will behave. I might have modeled it after the Mirror of the World, but I gave the right to operate it to the two of us.”

“But that ability was to ensure that you won’t realize that you’ve been fooled early on. After all, you can only believe what you think the world should behave like. You would have caught on that this world was fake right from the start if I tried to make the virtual world real. Only with you participating in fooling yourself were you fooled.”
