Chapter 2600: How to Become The God Of Slavery.

Apparently, enslavement is not the same as control. What the fat worm was doing to them was enslavement. This enslavement cannot be stopped, but everything will be fine as long as they remain in control.

When they realized this, Legion-1 said, “So the corrosion and corruption by the Authority of slavery is just its way of fusing with us. If we remain in control during the process, all will be well, and we get to become the god of slavery.”

Legion-11 completed his train of thought as he said, “But if we lose control during the process, we die.”

Legion-2 said, “It seems the god of knowledge was wrong when he said we couldn’t use any divine ability during the process. The truth is that we can use some divine abilities during the process. They are just highly selective divine abilities.”

Legion-4 spoke up in defense of the god of knowledge, “He wasn’t completely wrong about that. The mark of slavery didn’t work, and even the Web of Control divine ability would have failed in the long run without our rank 10 divine abilities.”

This made Legion-10 say, “I guess the key to success in this process is having an innate ability that is compatible with the authority of slavery. I have an inkling that if we didn’t have the Adaptation innate talent, the fat worms would have simply devoured our existence and killed us instead of fusing with us like this.”

What he said made Legion-9 nod his head in agreement. Then Legion-9 said, “If what you said is the truth, I guess the god of nobles was right not to make the attempt to control the authority of slavery. It is unlikely that he would have survived the process if he tried it.”

Legion-7 snorted and said, “How would he even start the process of gaining control of it? He doesn’t have the divine body of slavery or mental divine abilities to connect to the authority of slavery.”

Legion-5 thought about his question for a while before replying, “I guess he will use the Vassal Maker divine ability to try and take control of the authority of slavery. Or he could use the Crown of Nobility to initiate the process.”

At first, the process was very painful. But as their rank 10 divine abilities kicked in, the process became manageable. So they had the leisure to chat.

As time went by, the process of fusing with the fat worms became easier and faster. So in just 12 hours, the fat worms were able to completely corrode their existence. Then the fat worms turned their attention to their souls.

Just like they expected, after the fat worms had corroded their existence completely, they had fused completely with the authority of slavery and met the requirement to advance to become the god of the pathway of slavery.

And just like their previous advancements to become the god of a pathway, a new set of channels was formed between their souls and the new authority. This new set of channels was formed by a new set of divine fragments, which then granted them a new source of divinity.

The new set of divine fragments gave their existence 144 units of divinity each. Since there were 12 divine fragments, that made for a total of 1,728. Because they have 12 souls, they now have an extra 20,736 divine power.

They gained one portion of divine power from the pathway of telepathy and another portion of divine power from the pathway of undying. With this portion of divine power from the pathway of slavery, they now have a total of 3 × 20,736, which is 62,208 units of divine power.

Finally, because the pathway of slavery is one of their main pathways, the limit of power of their divine body and divine souls was also raised by another portion. This isn’t something that an alternative pathway can do.

Alternative pathways don’t require souls to serve as their foundation. Only the main pathways require three souls to serve as their foundation. But in exchange for this leniency, alternative pathways won’t raise the limit of their power.

Alternative pathways will only provide an extra source of divinity. Anymore benefit that they can get from an alternative pathway can only be acquired when they fuse completely with it.

So, thanks to becoming the god of the pathway of undying and the god of the pathway of slavery, the limit of their divine body and divine soul has been raised from 122,880 to 368,640. This has changed their existence in many ways, all of which they tallied one by one by checking their existence.
