Chapter 2595: The Crown of Nobility.

An angel of nobility wouldn’t have this problem of being repelled by the repelling barrier because the Vassal Maker divine ability doesn’t require contact for it to work.

Just the words of the angel of nobility assigning someone or something like the crown as a Vassal will be enough. The repelling barrier can’t block the power of their words.

But got slavers like them, they need to make contact with the crown in one way or another, either physically or mentally, before the mark of slavery can take root and enslave the target. So, without a way to overcome the repelling barrier, they would never be able to enslave it.

After thinking about what to do with their Cognitive Adaptation divine ability pushed to its limit, Legion came up with a feasible solution. This solution was to use the Mindscape to bypass the barrier.

Once they came up with this solution, they quickly executed it. They made the virtual copy disappear from the physical dimension into the Mindscape. Then they made the virtual copy to reappear right on top of the crown with direct contact with it instead of outside of the repelling barrier.

The force from the repelling barrier acting on something that was so close to the crown was so strong that the virtual copy was crushed as it was flung away by the repelling barrier. But the mark of slavery was still able to use the brief moment of contact with the crown to jump onto the crown.

When the mark of slavery jumped onto the crown, it began to grow and spread along it like a black barbed snake trying to encircle the crown. As the mark of slavery expanded, the golden crown became a black crown.

This expansion of the mark of slavery consumed a lot of divine energy from Legion, but they persevered and didn’t give up. Eventually, a million units of divine energy were consumed, and the golden crown had completely become a black one.

Legion felt immediately that they had gained control of the Crown of Nobility. This control was still a preliminary control and only surface deep, so it wasn’t enough to remove the repelling barrier, but it was enough to make the repelling barrier ignore them.

So the repelling barrier was still strong, but the virtual body was able to pass through it without feeling any force trying to push him away. Then the virtual body picked up the crown and disappeared with it into the Mindscape.

A hidden eye had been watching all of these happen. When the eye saw the virtual body and left with the crown, it said to itself, “So he really is a slaver. Unfortunately, I couldn’t meet his true body.”

The eye sighed and said, “What a pity. I guess I can only borrow his virtual body.”

With that said, the eye disappeared.

In the sky above the Empire of Nobles, the phantom god said to the other four high gods, “My comrades, the god of nobles has been killed, and the Crown of Nobility has been taken to a safe and secure location for storage.”

The god of fate wanted to know if what he said was the truth, so she used her divine abilities to sense the state of the god of nobles and the Crown of Nobility. What she sensed made her frown.

She said to them with a frown on her face, “The god of nobles is indeed dead. But the Crown of Nobility seems to have disappeared. How did you manage something like that?”

The god of history and sages replied, “I don’t know. You will have to ask the god of telepathy about that.”

This answer didn’t satisfy the god of fate, and she didn’t like that the god of telepathy had gone ahead to seal the Crown of Nobility without them. After all, they were supposed to be working on this matter together to thwart the plans of the god of crime and error.

But there was no use complaining now that the work of sealing the Crown of Nobility has been done and has been done so well. She could only say reluctantly, “It seems the methods of the god of telepathy are impeccable. I can rest assured now that the god of crime won’t be able to get it.”

Her words satisfied everyone else, especially the god of travelers. The god of travelers didn’t care how the Crown of Nobility was hidden. He only cared that it was hidden well.

The other gods would have also liked to know where the Crown of Nobility was sealed and how it was sealed, so that they could be sure that these things were done well. But since even the god of fate couldn’t find it, they felt that they didn’t have anything to worry about.

With everyone satisfied, they went their separate ways. Even the god of history and the god of knowledge, who were working together, behaved like strangers and didn’t interact with each other. After all, the two of them were supposed to be enemies.

They are supposed to be at each other’s throats. The fact that they haven’t started fighting as soon as the limit of what they are allowed to do. If people know that they are working together, then they will know that something of great importance must be going on between them.

The god of nobles died, and the Crown of Nobility was taken away. This made the god of crime very angry.

The first thing that the god of crime and error did was to curse the god of nobles for being useless. Then he swore to have his revenge on everyone who participated in sabotaging his plan.

The god of crime and error said, “Keep jumping around like a fish, traveler. What you don’t know is that you’re a fish out of water and will soon drown.”

The god of crime was truly angry. He was so angry that he made up his mind to target the god of travelers as soon as he finished breaking through with the two new authorities in his possession.
