Chapter 2528: Cognitive Adaptation.

The increase in their divine energy is an increase of 299,520 units or 156%. On the other hand, their divine power didn’t increase at all, while their raw power increased by 300%.

A normal godling with 9 divine flesh in their permanent divine body and 3 souls for that pathway will have a divine energy capacity of 122,880. They have four times that amount, which is why they were not surprised when the speed at which they fused with the Mind Palace increased.

When they were still an angel, they were supposed to spend one year fusing with the Mind Palace. But the speed at which they fused with it doubled when they first became godlings. Then it doubled each time they advanced another pathway to the godling rank.

So in total, compared to when they were an angel, their speed of fusion has increased by 16 times. So the one year that they needed to completely fuse with the Mind Palace has shrunk to 3.25 weeks or 23 days.

With this kind of speed, they felt comfortable lying low for a while. After all, they won’t have to lie low for a long time before they become the god of three pathways. Besides, they had a new rank 10 divine ability that they could spend time trying out.

Their newest rank 10 divine ability is Cognitive Adaptation. It is a divine ability that allows them to actively change their minds and improve them. The best part of this divine ability is that they don’t need an external influence for the divine ability to show its effect.

Their previous three rank 10 divine abilities need certain conditions and circumstances to be met before they can take effect. The Cognitive Adaptation divine ability also requires a certain condition to be met. And just like the three previous rank 10 divine abilities, the condition required is an obstacle to overcome.

The Environmental Adaptation divine ability requires external adverse conditions to take effect. The Death Adaptation divine ability requires something to kill them before it can take effect. The Offensive Adaptation divine ability requires a tough opponent for it to take effect.

All of these rank 10 divine abilities enhance Legion’s power by helping them overcome an obstacle. The Cognitive Adaptation divine ability also does this. It is just that the obstacle that the Cognitive Adaptation divine ability requires to take effect can be within themselves.

An example of the obstacle within them that can make the Cognitive Adaptation divine ability take effect is the feeling of pain. If they are feeling pain either by self-harm or from an external influence, and they don’t want to feel pain anymore, the Cognitive Adaptation can help their minds adapt to the pain and stop feeling it.

Another thing that the Cognitive Adaptation divine ability can help them overcome is wayward emotions. After trying to control their emotions, the Cognitive Adaptation took effect and helped them eliminate their emotions completely or control what they feel at any time.

These things are trivia, though. The Cognitive Adaptation divine ability can do so much more.

For example, it can help improve their intelligence and learning capabilities. It does this in order to help them overcome any difficulty in learning anything.

They discovered this effect when they eliminated their emotions. When they did this, the Cognitive Adaptation divine ability put their minds in a machine-like state that made it very easy for their minds to absorb all sorts of information.

Their hearing and smell are already sharp. But once their mind entered the machine state, their minds became powerful enough to combine the power of the two senses and use the sounds and smells that they could perceive to build a large three-dimensional picture of the world in their mind.

So they were able to see using their hearing and smell. It was as if they had gained the echolocation ability of bats and the nose of an elephant.

To be specific, their ear and noses are already sharper and better than those of bats and elephants. It was just that the way they processed the information from their nose and ears was linear.

In the past, the way they processed smells and sounds was individual. Each smell was processed on its own and then discarded. But after using the Cognitive Adaptation divine ability, they were able to link all the information they had processed together and use it to paint a picture.

This state of mind reminded them of when they first became transcendents in the realm of high heaven. At that point, their mind was liberated and their perception became sharp enough to sense the information state of the world called laws.

Their mind, body, and power had been crippled when they came to this world and became human. It can be said that their existence was mangled after they fell from being limitless to being human. But the Cognitive Adaptation divine ability gave them the hope of recovering their peak state and surpassing it.

They were full of hope for the Cognitive Adaptation divine ability because, not only was it able to help them perceive the world better, it was also able to enhance their intelligence, the more divine energy they put into it.

It was as if it could raise their intelligence infinitely as long as they had divine energy to power it. If not for the fact that the path of perfection in this world was absent, they were sure that they would be able to comprehend laws in a year or less, not the 100,000 years that it normally takes other people.

Since there is no law matrix in this world, they focused the power of the Cognitive Adaptation divine ability inwards into their body to learn more about their state of existence.

They were inspecting their existence because they hoped to see something that they had missed before. Their wish was fulfilled when they quickly became distracted after they focused on the Mind Palace.
