Chapter 2502: Definite Enemy.

The angel of knowledge continued with his explanation, “If it were any other person, they would have no choice but to follow the path of the god of killing and lose their minds. Then they too might lose their minds and die.”

“The god of justice had to follow in the god of killing’S footsteps for a while in order to keep his life. If he hadn’t done so, he would have stagnated all those years that he was trapping the Ocean of Blood, and someone would have killed him.”

“But aside from following the path of the god of killing, he also has another chance thanks to his innate ability. Thanks to this innate ability, he can become a god in two unrelated pathways. But he didn’t stop there.”

“He could have simply tried to assimilate the authority of the pathway of knights called the Blade of Man. But that would have limited his future power to only two authorities.”

“If he achieves this, he will be able to become the god of knights without relying on his innate talent. This will free his innate talent to help him assimilate the pathway of nobility and the pathway of slavery on top of the pathway of knights.”

“So his goal isn’t just the pathway of knights. He is targeting even the two pathways that are compatible with the pathway of knights. This is why he will definitely be your enemy.”

When Legion-4 heard this, his eye twitched in annoyance.

The angel of knowledge saw this and chuckled. Then he encouraged Legion-4 by saying, “Things aren’t all bad for you. The god of nobles is helping you to deal with the god of justice right now. If not for his hard work, your situation would be hopeless.”

“The god of nobles has been killing every vessel that the god of justice created. Even though the god of justice has done a lot of things to hide the identity of his true vessels, like making them have two pathways, with the pathway of knights hidden, the god of nobles has always been able to find those vessels and kill them.”

“So you should thank the god of nobles. Or maybe you shouldn’t, since he is doing all of these for his benefit and because he is your enemy, too. This only leaves someone else that you can cooperate with.”

Legion-4 thought about everything that had been said and came to a conclusion about the best partner for cooperation.

He said, “The god of error and crime?”

The angel of knowledge nodded in agreement and said, “Yes, the god of error and crime. He hates the god of justice and wants to kill him. He also doesn’t care for the authority of your pathway, so he won’t kill you for it. That makes him a good candidate for a partner.”

“But the fact that he doesn’t need the authority of the pathway of slavery doesn’t mean that he can’t just eat you. So you shouldn’t get too cocky.”

“You should also figure out a way to convince him to help you instead of helping a stronger choice like the god of nobles. After all, the god of nobles is just like you, but better than you in that he is already a god and already has the authority of the pathway of slavery.”

“It would be a smart choice to help the god of nobles fight the god of justice instead of helping you fight the god of justice and the god of nobles. So if you go up to him for a deal, he might just kill you as a token of alliance for the god of nobles.”

Legion-4 cursed and said, “Damn. There are just pitfalls everywhere.”

The angel of knowledge chuckled and said, “You should probably wait for the full information I have for you before you have an outburst.”

Legion-4’s face darkened as he asked, “Is there something worse?”

The angel of knowledge shrugged and said, “Depends on how you look at it. Anyway, here goes your second information that I promised to tell you.”

“If you want to enslave an angel and keep the rank of that angel, you have two methods. I’m being so generous that I’m giving you two options, not just one.”

This made Legion-4 roll his eyes and mutter something about bragging.

The angel of knowledge ignored him and continued, “The first option is to enslave a godling.

Legion-4’s eyes wanted to pop open in shock, but he managed to rein in the impulse. His only reaction to such an outrageous option was to ask a question calmly.

He said, “So you’re saying that the way to become a godling is to enslave a godling?”

The angel of knowledge replied unperturbed, “Correct. You should not be a stranger to this method. After all, it is how you managed to become an angel of slavery.”

Legion-4 scoffed and said, “Why would I go through so much stress when I can just kill the godling for their divine fragment? I came to you in order to find a way to avoid fighting a godling.”

The angel of knowledge replied, “What you choose to do is your business. My job is to offer you a solution, and the first solution is that you should enslave a godling. If you do that, the rank of the godling won’t fall because it is already beyond the pathway. Even if rank falls, it will only fall to the rank of angel.”

“So if you manage to enslave a godling, the authority of the pathway of slavery will be impressed with you and help you become a godling. Of course, you must have a compatible innate ability for it to elevate, or you would have done all of this for nothing.”
