They could only borrow its ultimate divine ability to use. But the authority didn’t belong to them.
Now that they have become angels of undying, they can begin the process of fusing with it. They were finally able to communicate with the golden authority and learn that its name is Everlasting Gemstone.
They also learned that just like the Mind Palace, they should be done fusing with it in one year, and they should be able to get a divine fragment from it once they reach a fusion rate of 50%.
Unfortunately for them, they can’t fuse with more than one authority at the same time. They will have to set aside the Mind Palace and put fusing with it on hold if they want to fuse with the Everlasting Gemstone.
To this, Legion-9 shrugged and said, “I’m sure that we can wait a year for the Mind Palace to finish fusing. By then we will become a god and be stronger, so we will be able to fuse with the Everlasting Gemstone even faster.”
Legion-i nodded and said, “We might not even have to wait for one year to complete the fusion. Once we spend 6 months to reach a 50% fusion rate with the Mind Palace, we should be able to become godlings. I bet the speed of our fusion will increase then.”

Thanks to raising all of their pathways to rank 9, they now have 92,160. This is a 60% increase from when they had 57,600 units when they first became an angel in the pathway of telepathy.
In comparison, an angel with one pathway and three souls will have 23,040 units of spiritual energy. So they have exactly 4 times as much spiritual energy as an angel of their rank.
Not only do they have four times as much spiritual energy as their power, but they also have three more sets of divine abilities to spend their spiritual energy on.
The new divine ability that they just gained in particular is very powerful. It is capable of things that they are sure that other angels of undying will be unable to do. This is because its capabilities are dependent on the age of its user.
Their latest divine ability is the Phantom Escape divine ability. It is a divine ability that makes angels of undying much more difficult to kill by boosting their speed and turning their body formless while they escape.
Thanks for this divine ability; an undying angel can escape from any place or enter any place as long as there is the slightest gap for access. So angels of undying can use this ability to escape through a keyhole in a door or through the fingers of someone who wants to catch them.
