Chapter 2378: Reasonable Revenge.

As for going after the angel of killing for revenge, she would like to do that too. But she wisely gave up on it because she knew that she didn’t have the strength to covet such a thing.

She won’t give up on revenge just like that. If it is possible, she will still try to speak about revenge on the angel of killing.

In this case, she will try to plead with the royal family to help. But she is not counting on their help, and she is not going to focus on seeking revenge from the angel of killing.

Getting revenge on the undying godclad is more feasible. It is also something that she can do alone, so she intends to focus on that instead of seeking revenge in the act of killing.

Legion is counting on a lot of things. They are trying to grow stronger by advancing their pathways, and they are also waiting for the slaves that survived to catch up with them.

What happened to Reinfield City was not their goal. Things had spiraled out of their control and derailed so much that the situation could not have been recovered.

They had nearly died, and Reinfield City had been destroyed. But those were just the immediate consequences of the loss of control.

The total impact of that loss of control hadn’t ended yet. There was more to come.

The first impact of the events that took place in Reinfield City was that they had created the opportunity for the angel of killing to recover its strength.

If the angel is allowed to recover all of its power, the catastrophe that will follow in its wake will be immense. This is bad for the world, but it seems that this outcome is inevitable.

Regardless of who wins, the outcome will be that one avatar becomes stronger and becomes more capable of unifying all the avatars and taking control of the main body.

Once this happens, the only options will be either the creation of a somewhat sane angel of killing or a mad angel of killing hell-bent on killing everything it sees.

The first option will happen if the avatar in control of the original soul of the godclad wins this fight. The second option will happen if the tiger avatar wins the fight.

If the second outcome happens, then a smaller case of the madness of the god of killing will ensue. The mad angel of killing will go on a rampage.

The church of justice couldn’t allow this to happen. They quickly sent out a force to deal with the problem before it could be allowed to escalate.

Their reaction was swift for many reasons. The first reason being that they hate angels of killing and don’t want them to become godlings of killing or even the god of killing.

The second reason, and perhaps just as important as the first reason, was that they sensed the presence of a bloody heart that had disappeared a long time ago in this part of the world.

Every captain with a bloody heart had sensed the bloody heart through the blood network. This sensation lasted for a few minutes before it was cut off again, but it managed to rile up the church of justice further.

Their current suspicion is that the angel of killing is in possession of a bloody heart. If this is so, then the goal of the angel is as clear as water.

The legendary warrior that was guarding the spring of life was not happy about what they did to that spring. He had gone to find a fate weaver to help him determine the identity of the thief and find the thief.

Unfortunately for him, the fate weaver couldn’t find the thief. She could only tell him that he was an undying godclad that is either at rank 6 or rank 7.

The fate weaver didn’t find out that the thief was a godclad through her divine abilities. But she came to that conclusion based on the circumstances.

Since her divine ability didn’t work to find the identity of the thief, the thief had to have a method to block her divine ability. This meant that the thief could be a rule breaker or an undying godclad.

The godclads of these, the pathway of undying and the pathway of error, can both steal the water of life from a spring of life. But only a rank 6 undying godclad will steal the whole spring of life by taking away its core.

This is how the fate weaver was able to come to the conclusion that the thief had to be an undying godclad.
