GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2343: As Soon As Possible.

Chapter 2343: As Soon As Possible.

In regards to the church of justice’S vendetta against killers, Legion-3 said, “Now I am having mixed feelings about the church of justice.”

This made some of them chuckle in amusement. But they agree with him.

They don’t like the church of justice at all. In fact, they expect that they will have to fight the church of justice at some point because of their identity as killers, telepaths, and slave masters.

So they have too many reasons to be wary of the church of justice. But at this point, they are grateful that the god of justice has sealed the authority of the pathway of killing so that this angel of killing won’t be able to become the god of killing soon.

They are also hoping that the church of justice will send one of their angels to come and get rid of the angel of killing as soon as possible. Even if they fail to kill the angel of killing and the angel of justice dies instead, Legion will still be satisfied that the church of justice was weakened.

After chuckling to themselves, Legion-1 said, “Reinfield City is not safe to live in anymore. We must do whatever we plan to do with them as soon as possible and leave.”

They all agreed with that. There is just no way they are going to feel at peace with an angel of killing nearby.

It is said that the legendary being in the forest can’t move and can’t leave the forest. But that is not enough to mollify them. Especially since they know so much about how dangerous the pathway of killing is.

Even if they are ignorant of the power of the pathway of killing, what they witnessed as the two legends were struck down is enough to tell them just how much danger they are in by living so close to an angel of killing.

After all of these, the beasts tide and the final attack had happened even though the angel of killing didn’t leave the forest. They can’t imagine the kind of destruction that will occur if the angel of killing finds a way to leave the forest.

Then there is the church of justice. It is likely that the church of justice will come to Reinfield to do something about the angel of killing. Legion doesn’t want to be here when that happens.

While they were thinking about all of these, the city was still in danger of destruction. The two giant blue peacocks, which were as tall as four-story buildings, had begun to smash everything around them to pieces.

Their priority was anything that moved. Once they spotted something moving, they would rush over with their giant bodies to kill the moving being. Anything in their way would be destroyed too.

But if they don’t have any moving thing to target, the divine beasts would settle for destroying anything in sight. By the looks of things, they were willing to destroy the whole city even if it would take them years to do so.

And this was the destruction that they were causing because they didn’t have spiritual energy to begin using divine abilities. If they could use their domains, for instance, they should be able to level the city in a few seconds.

Many people in the city didn’t want to see this. The remaining legends in the city were a few of these people who didn’t want to see their beloved city turned to rabble.

Even though they were scared of the angel of killing, four legends still came out to subdue the mad divine beasts. They had to come out or risk losing their precious city.

The four legends took on the divine beasts one at a time. They didn’t split themselves into two teams to deal with the two divine beasts simultaneously. They even had help from the rank 6 godclads to subdue a single divine beast.

They did this because the liberated form of legendary godclads is very strong. Once a legend unleashes their divine form, their power triples, so anyone fighting them has to either unleash their own divine form or get a lot of other legends to help them.

No legend wants to liberate their divine form if they can prevent it. They especially don’t want to add to their current problems by liberating their divine forms and losing control.

If a new legend liberates their firm and loses control now, they would be more dangerous than the two previously mad ones because they would be uninjured and have a lot of spiritual energy to spare.

Rather than risk that happening, they chose to go the route of quantity over quality. Four legends and six rank 6 godclads piled on top of a single divine beast and tried to subdue it.

Legion was watching these happening without any intention of helping. The only intention they had was to either take advantage of the situation or criticize the nobles.

They actually had something important to criticize the nobles about. They noticed that the goal of the legends was to capture the divine beasts, not to kill them.

So instead of attacking to kill, they were trying to wear down the divine beasts. Legion thought that this was a stupid thing to do.

Legion-6 said in disdain, “What is wrong with their heads? Do they think they can help the Divine Beasts recover? Why don’t they just put an end to their misery once and for all?”

They weren’t the only ones who thought the whole thing was foolish. Even the angel of death thought it was foolish and funny when one of the rank 6 godclads was crushed by the beak of a divine beast and a legend was cut in half by the wings of the divine beast.

The angel of death laughed and said, “Maybe I was wrong. This might be better than I planned. It is surely more entertaining.”

Legion-10 smirked and said, “The angel of death has a point.”
