GREED: ALL FOR WHAT?

Chapter 2215 - 2215: Trading Platform.

What Legion-10 saw in the kitchen was an odd sight.

Everything in the world was grey, black, or white. Even the fire that the cook was using to cook was grey. The frying pan was also grey. But the eggs being fried in the pan were colorful, bright, and aromatic.

The egg looked and smelled like real eggs. It was even steaming like real eggs being fried. This made it stand out in this grey world.

Legion-10 looked at the cook frying the eggs and said, “That should be the Legend.”

The cook was also gray. His skin was the same color as the uniform he was wearing. This made him look like an apparition.

As if the man noticed their gaze, he looked up at them and smiled. He looked harmless, but Legion wasn’t fooled.

Legion-10 turned their gaze away from the cook immediately. They glanced at the colorful drinks being served to the patrons. Then they turned their gaze to the trading platform.

As the main reason they decided to join this organization, the wall should be their main focus.

Legion-10 said to himself, “If everything that that hedonistic telepath said about the trading platform is true, then this organization won’t disappoint us.”

They don’t ask for much. They don’t want realistic food and drinks. All they want is the ability to trade for what they need to become stronger. If the trading platform can help them achieve that, then they will be satisfied.

In order to determine if the Mindscape would be able to meet their needs and if the time they have spent with Gerald is a waste of their time or not, Legion-10 stood up and approached the wall.

He got close to the wall until he could touch it. Then he did touch it. This action connected his mind to a large pool of information.

The best way for him to describe what he saw and felt when he touched the wall was to call the trading platform a pool. There were two such pools in the wall.

The trading platform was the pools of information. One pool was auctioning and listing whatever one has for sale. He could dive into this pool and search for whatever it is that he wants.

So the first pool is very similar to a normal market. There are stalls in the pool with goods placed on them and their prices stated for would-be buyers to see.

Of course, all of this is mental. It isn’t real. But it has the advantage of facilitating quick transmission of information.

The information about everything was easy to get. It was within his grasp and quick to acquire. What’s more, if there was anything he didn’t understand, he could send messages to the telepaths who left stalls in the trading platform.

As far as he could tell, there were hundreds of stalls. This meant that there were hundreds of sellers on this trading platform.

He was impressed by this amount because this was just one trading platform. There were many other trading platforms in the city. If all of these sellers are telepaths, then the size of the Mind Hunter organization is impressive.

He thought to himself with a chuckle, “It is impressive, but it can’t match the size of lamp bearers.”

Legion-6 also chuckled and said, “The members of the Mind Hunter organization are probably a fraction of the total population of telepaths in the tenumbrum world. But even if they were large enough to match the size of lamp bearers, they still wouldn’t be able to compete with the lamp bearers because they lack a god.”

Legion-10 added, “Not just any god. They will need a strong god to match the god of justice.”

The clones made fun of the Mind Hunters for a while. But not all of them were of one mind about this.

Legion-8 said, “I might be biased, but I don’t think knights and judges can match telepaths. So I think that a god of telepathy will be able to match the god of justice.”

This point of view made the clones begin to argue with each other. They were doing this in the real world. In the Mindscape, Legion-10 was still going through the trading platform.

Legion-10 had already found what he wanted from the numerous stalls, but he didn’t rush to make a decision. He first left the selling trading platform and went to the second one.

The second trading platform is the buying trading platform. Buyers will put up the things that they want to buy that aren’t available in the selling/trading platform.

Everyone still connected to either trading platform will get the notification and will initiate a trade if they have what the buyer wants.

He could understand all of these based on his observations and what Gerald told him. He could also tell that not just anything can be sold in the trading platform.

Actually, there are only two things that can be sold. They have to divine flesh or divine artifacts.

The two of them are basically the same thing, as divine artifacts can be converted back into divine flesh by destroying them. So in essence, there is only one thing that can be sold or bought, and that’s divine flesh.

There are also only two things that can be used as currency in the virtual world. The first is energy water, and the second is mind fragments.

There was an explanation of what the two currencies were and how they are transported into the virtual world. This explanation was also inside the trading platform. It was there for everyone to see.

Apparently, the mind fragment is a mental substance harvested from the minds of others by killing them and allowing the virtual flesh of the god of telepathy to devour their minds.

The function of the mind fragments was also stated. It is stated that mind fragments require one to be a Legend to use. It is the raw material that Legends use to create the lifelike virtual food, drinks, and other experiences.
