Great, It's the Pervy Neighbor. We're Doomed

Chapter 928: The Miserable Furious Jiang Ran

  • Next Chapter

Then, Furious Jiang Ran heard that after leaving the security room, the man went straight to the fallen old woman and smashed her to death with the ashtray as well.

"Shut up! Shut up! I told you to shut up, didn't you hear?! If you keep talking, you'll attract more people!"

After smashing the old woman to death, Furious Jiang Ran looked around and didn't see anyone else, but when he looked up, he saw several people on the balcony of the building in front of him, holding up their phones and recording him.

Furious Jiang Ran knew everything was over.

He quickly ran back to the garage he had rented just a few days ago, packed up a few things, hopped on his newly purchased electric bike, and fled the residential complex.

After escaping the complex, he kept riding, pushing himself a full forty-plus kilometers until the battery died.

Abandoning the bike, he ran to a park.

On the park's pedestrian path, Furious Jiang Ran walked with a grim, dark expression.

Then a middle-aged man on an electric bike appeared from behind him.

He didn't even ring his bell to warn Furious Jiang Ran. If Furious Jiang Ran hadn't heard the sound of the vehicle approaching from behind, he would have genuinely thought the man was planning to plow straight into him.

When the bike shot past him, Furious Jiang Ran noticed the man was one of those fishing enthusiasts.

"Do you have a screw loose?! This is a pedestrian path, not a bike lane!"

"And riding that fast without even ringing your bell, are you trying to kill someone?!"

The fishing enthusiast only glanced back at Furious Jiang Ran with a look of utter disdain, then sped off, leaving him in the dust.

"Damn it, you'd better pray you never cross my path again!"

Furious Jiang Ran knew he couldn't outrun the electric bike, so he could only vent his threats internally.

But he never expected that fishing enthusiast to have such nerve.

The park they were in was a small ring-lake park, and there had to be a reason the fishing enthusiast was here.

That reason was fishing.

The fishing enthusiast was fishing on the opposite side of the lake, and Furious Jiang Ran spotted him just as he was about to leave.

Furious Jiang Ran crept over quietly.

Using the ashtray from his backpack, he ambushed the fishing enthusiast from behind:

"Damn you! Damn you!"

"I'll teach you not to ring your bell!"

"I'll teach you to ride so fast!"

He struck and cursed with every blow.

The fishing enthusiast was beaten so badly he couldn't even fight back, could only cover his head and beg for mercy, shouting things like "Brother, I'm sorry!" over and over.

But Furious Jiang Ran still beat him to death.

After killing him, he searched the body, took whatever was useful, and then rode off on the fishing enthusiast's bike.

After killing the middle-aged security guard and the old woman, he had gone home and stripped off his blood-stained coat.

He changed into new clothes, but this time, he stripped off the blood-stained coat again.

Using the phone payment password he had beaten out of the fishing enthusiast's mouth, he bought a few outfits at a nearby clothing store, then quickly got back on the bike and continued his escape.

Furious Jiang Ran's goal was simple. He had killed several people in this country now, and he could no longer stay.

He planned to first sneak across the border into Southeast Asia, then figure out a way to reach other countries.

When this electric bike ran out of power, he ditched it without a second thought.

Next, the freeloading phase began.

Ever played Grand Theft Auto?

The player controls a character, walks up to a car, yanks the door open, and drags the driver out.

Steal the car and drive off.

Furious Jiang Ran wished he could do that, but the difficulty was too high.

Stealing electric bikes was much simpler.

So, over the next stretch, he injured multiple people, both men and women.

He successively stole and rode five electric bikes.

When he was truly exhausted, following his planned route, he rode the last one to the foot of a remote mountain and stopped.

He plunged into the mountain's base, evading the police pursuit that was sure to follow.

His mind was clear. By now, the police had to be hunting him.

So he hid in the mountains, found a spot, slept through the night, and didn't wake until the early hours of the next morning.

He intended to stay in these mountains for a few days to observe the situation outside.

Just his luck, he ran into a group of hiking buddies who had come to this mountain.

Furious Jiang Ran had only wanted to ask these hikers for a few bites of food and sips of water.

Instead, not only did the hikers refuse, they told him to get lost.

Furious Jiang Ran accidentally killed the male hikers in the group and kept the two women alive.

Many of Jiang Ran's alternate personalities had little interest in women.

But!

That was inside the inner landscape world.

And indeed, they had no interest in women there.

But once out here.

Having no interest in women didn't equal complete celibacy.

So these two women, both in their mid-thirties, experienced the nightmare of their lives.

Of course, Furious Jiang Ran wasn't into anything particularly twisted. He was just venting his desires, normal man-woman intimacy.

It was just that the women weren't willing, and he forced them.

He continued to stay in those mountains for several more days, consuming all the supplies the hikers had brought.

Only then did Furious Jiang Ran leave. He didn't kill the two female hikers, which was their reward for cooperating obediently over those days.

Once they regained their freedom, the two women, physically and mentally shattered, rushed down the mountain to report to the police.

Hua Country's surveillance coverage was absolutely terrifying.

Furious Jiang Ran was well aware of this, so he kept moving through remote areas and mountain paths.

When he passed through villages or townships, he stole.

If discovered, he fled.

He also started killing far less often. Not out of conscience, but because it wasted precious escape time.

The road Jiang Ran and the others drove through belonged to a city township, and by sheer coincidence, that was where they spotted Furious Jiang Ran.

Furious Jiang Ran was in a pathetic state, the worst-off and most imperiled of the 62 alternate personalities who had emerged so far.

The white SUV finally returned to the long-missed Nancheng City.

After returning to Nancheng City, Jiang Ran and Wang Qingzhao didn't leave. Instead, they rested for a while at the home of Zhang Xue and Gao Yang, in the residential complex where they parked.

After resting, Zhang Xue suggested going out to eat.

But Gao Yang refused, saying, "Let's not eat first. Let's handle the matter between the two of us first."

"Let's talk about how to split the money and all that."

Zhang Xue's face darkened. "Gao Yang, we just got back, and you want to discuss this already?"

Gao Yang sneered, "What else? Are we supposed to keep dragging this out? Tangled and impossible to unravel?"

"Zhang Xue, I'm giving you one last chance."

"Are you choosing me, or..."

Zhang Xue: "Then fine, as you wish, let's break up!"

Gao Yang lowered his head, then raised it again, a mocking smirk curling at the corner of his mouth:

"Fine, Zhang Xue, you'll regret this."

"Don't think being a two-million-follower influencer means anything. TikTok has seen millions of influencers fall from grace. Without me, you'll end up just like them sooner or later!"

"And if I can build one two-million-follower influencer, I can build a second!"

Gao Yang crossed his arms, thoroughly pleased with himself. "So, Zhang Xue, you will regret the choice you made today!"

Clenching her teeth, Zhang Xue said, "Enough, don't you think you're talking too much?"

"Also, splitting things up won't be settled in a minute anyway. Can I at least take them out to eat first?"

Waving his hand dismissively, Gao Yang said, "This will be the last decent meal of your life, so cherish it!"

The group headed out.

Wang Qingzhao tossed out a comment: "Your ex-boyfriend sure talks a lot of crap, acting like your TikTok account only blew up because he single-handedly managed and built it."

Zhang Xue stayed silent, but Zhao Yiwan said, "The account grew because of Xiaoxue's own hard work."

"At the start, Xiaoxue was posting dance videos, slowly building up her fanbase of old perverts."
