Great, It's the Pervy Neighbor. We're Doomed
Chapter 918: Unfair
The medicine was the blackish-brown stone in his hand, and now it was covered in red liquid.
After all, the old man was getting up there in years.
His ability to process sudden emergencies wasn't very high.
His legs went weak with terror, and he couldn't even run.
All he could do was shout, "Young man! Calm down! Please calm down!!!"
Jiang Ran sneered, "Don't you want the medicine?!"
"I'll give it to you!"
"No, no need, I don't want it anymore!"
The old man was terrified out of his mind.
His aged face was twitching uncontrollably.
But who was Jiang Ran?
A good Samaritan, that's who, and he was going to force-feed the old man his medicine whether he liked it or not.
He shoved that stone medicine into the old man's mouth with wild abandon.
Pushing it in again and again.
When the old man refused to open up, Jiang Ran simply raised the stone medicine high and slammed it into his mouth.
After just a few strikes, the old man was beaten to death.
His mouth was a horrific mess, and the few teeth he had left had all been knocked out or lodged in his throat.
Having finished all of that, Jiang Ran looked left and right.
Even though the three of them had screamed miserably just moments ago.
It seemed no one else had been drawn over, probably because most people had gone to watch the road construction.
"Phew, the matter is over, but it's also not over."
Jiang Ran muttered to himself, lifting his gaze to the sky.
A clear blue sky, with snow-white clouds.
Jiang Ran suddenly spoke with a cold laugh and anger, "Unfair! This is really unfair!"
This alternate personality of Jiang Ran's was called Air Jiang Ran.
He got that name purely because, among the crowd of alternate personalities, his presence was so weak he was like air.
Secondly, it was also because his usual way of doing things was low-key and plain.
The kind that stayed in obscurity.
When asked about him, the other alternate personalities didn't have much of an impression of him.
However, even though that was the impression he gave others, and it was indeed how he was, he still carried an immense pain in his heart.
Back on Earth, he had only rarely gotten to control the body.
After that, the transmigration.
He hadn't been selected even once before.
But because his personality was so plain, he never really complained about it.
But!
Ever since the 62 alternate personalities had been released last time, the dissatisfaction in his heart had grown suddenly and rapidly.
Why was it that he had never been chosen before, and this time, the first batch of 62 alternate personalities that went out didn't include him either?
Clearly, many of the ones he knew, just like him, were among those 62 alternate personalities.
Why?
Why didn't his turn ever come?
So, this time, when he was finally selected, he felt no joy at all, only annoyance and rage.
He walked into the gaunt middle-aged man's courtyard.
Just at the entrance, he saw a boy of about ten or so staring at him.
The screams of the gaunt middle-aged man and his two companions might not have been heard by others, but the boy doing his homework in the house in the courtyard definitely heard them.
When he heard them, he walked out of the house in confusion and over to the courtyard gate.
Then, he saw his parents lying on the ground, along with an old man from the village he recognized.
And Jiang Ran, covered in blood, walking straight in.
"Dad! Mom! What happened to you?!"
Seeing his poor, miserable parents, the boy burst into loud tears and, without thinking, ran wailing toward them, desperately shaking their bodies, trying to wake them up.
But before he could wake his parents, his own head was struck by Air Jiang Ran with the blackish-brown stone.
After just a few hits, he joined his parents in their journey to the Yellow Springs for a family reunion.
After doing all of that, he didn't stop.
He took big strides into the courtyard. Seeing a few pieces of clothing drying in the yard, he grabbed one of the men's jackets and a pair of pants and put them on himself.
Then, in the courtyard, his eyes swept around like radar.
He didn't find what he was looking for.
He went inside the house and searched for a few minutes.
He found a stack of unused blue masks.
He put a blue mask on his face and casually grabbed what was probably the gaunt middle-aged man's electric bike helmet.
After putting it on, he pulled down the plastic visor at the front.
This plastic visor was a dark gray-black color, so from the outside, his face couldn't be seen at all.
With that, Air Jiang Ran also took a kitchen knife from the house, and grabbed the stone as well.
He walked out of the courtyard.
...
"People are born unequal."
"The lives that follow are also full of unfair things."
"Just like me. I'm clearly so outstanding, so why am I just an alternate personality?"
Inner landscape world.
Watching Air Jiang Ran mutter quietly as he went out.
Blue-haired Jiang Ran stroked his own blue hair and sighed deeply.
Smoky Makeup Jiang Ran patted him on the shoulder and said, "Hearing that, I feel it deeply too!"
"But... it looks like Air Jiang Ran is about to go on a killing spree?"
"Hiss... I really don't know much about his personality. Does anyone here know him?"
He looked toward the alternate personalities in the distance.
Now, in the entire inner landscape world, there were only 50 alternate personalities left in this small town.
So, anyone who knew him might be one of those 62 alternate personalities, and the rest probably didn't know him well at all.
"I know him."
Judge Jiang Ran walked up, arms crossed, and said.
Smoky Makeup Jiang Ran and the other alternate personalities heard this, their mouths slightly agape, clearly a bit surprised.
They never expected that the one who knew him would be one of the six sleeping alternate personalities.
"He's a pretty even-tempered guy, but obviously, facing the fact that he was never picked, and then the 62 alternate personalities went out without him, he got angry too. He felt it was unfair."
Judge Jiang Ran said slowly.
Smoky Makeup Jiang Ran smiled and said, "So, he needs to vent his anger, and he's venting it on these people."
"Of course, the people in this village aren't good people either."
Judge Jiang Ran said, "Even if they're not good people, there must still be at least a few who are unstained by the filth around them."
Smoky Makeup Jiang Ran's lips curled with a hint of disdain. "Who cares if they're good or bad? If they get killed, it's their bad luck."
Compared to the other alternate personalities, Air Jiang Ran wasn't actually that bloodthirsty.
After all, he had a plain temperament and wasn't very interested in killing.
But now, that was definitely no longer the case. It was like cornering an honest man and pushing him past his breaking point.
He needed to vent his anger.
His anger at the System.
And, of course, his anger at this village.
He could see everything the main personality with the kind memories had gone through in this village.
He harbored deep hatred and disgust for the people of this village, without a shred of goodwill.
So, he began going through the houses one by one.
For example, one house had two kids watching TV inside.
They were probably around ten years old, with the youngest around seven or eight.
When they saw Air Jiang Ran suddenly barge in.
Before they could even react, their throats were slashed by his knife, and they collapsed silently to the ground.
Or another house.
An old couple, arranging freshly harvested corn in the courtyard.
But they too were barged in on by Air Jiang Ran, and without a word, he sent them off.
