Chapter 1690: Sand Fall City destroyed

Inside Gregor Mansion, I was still experiencing shock and disbelief. The ruin was hiding a terrible existence. Now, it was going to come out.

Then, I pushed out of the control room. I saw Patrick and Otto seated at the table, discussing something.

Then, I saw Hank sitting cross-legged on the ground, holding the Earth Stone.

The vine monster entangled one of the ball pillars.

A hint of hesitation flashed in my eyes. I changed my decision at the last moment. It was best for them to stay here.

Then, I turned and walked back into the control room. I arrived in front of the control mirror.

City Lord Office

The two yellow beams struck the Earth Domain sphere. The beams blasted away the domain sphere.

Boom!

A deafening sound occurred the next moment.

The sphere crumbled. The two yellow beams didn’t stop there. They went through the sphere and headed straight towards City Lord Coleman.

Coleman’s eyes filled with fear. Before he could do anything further, the two yellow beams slammed into his body.

Boom!

The Magic Lord’s body was supposed to be strong.

Yet, Coleman was unable to withstand the power. His body flew backwards like a projectile. The body flew outside of the city before crashing into the area of the sand dunes.

Boom!

A huge noise sounded. Next, a mushroom cloud made of sand could be seen covering the sky.

The City Guards and the locals were dumbfounded. They couldn’t believe that the City Lord was attacked.

It took them a few seconds to realize that something had happened. Panic and chaos started spreading through the city.

The City Guards were clueless about what to do. Sand Fall City had a small population. Right now, the majority of the people were rushing to the gate.

The City Lord had given them an order earlier. No one could come in or go out of the city. It was already difficult for the City Guards to implement the rules.

People both on the inside and outside were pushing them. Now the City Lord was attacked. Everyone had witnessed it.

They didn’t know whether the city was under attack. The locals wanted to flee. The City Guards were helpless. It was impossible for them to kill everyone there.

As time went by, the City Guards found it impossible to stop them. They couldn’t attack their own people.

The City Guard Captains and others thought that the City Lord would come back. But the City Lord was not returning at all.

Creak!

Finally, they opened the gate. The locals started fleeing. The people who were waiting outside had fled earlier.

The City Guard Captains and the guards wanted to escape as well. But they were afraid of the City Lord.

If the City Lord were to return later, then he would take his anger out on them. They didn’t have any other choice than to wait there.

Just as the locals were fleeing from the place.

Boom!

A terrific noise sounded all of a sudden. The noise was so loud that everyone heard it. The locals were even more terrified.

They increased their speed. They wanted to get away from Sand Fall City as soon as possible.

They didn’t know where the sound was coming from. The City Guards themselves were scared.

The City Guard Captains exchanged looks. They were thinking that the City Lord was not going to come back. The other guards were planning to leave.

They didn’t care about the job anymore. They were more worried about their lives.

Meanwhile

City Lord Coleman was lying breathless on the sand dune. The corpse was dismembered.

His internal organs were shattered. His mana power source, that of a Magic Lord, was destroyed as well.

The bones all over his body were crushed by the impact. Until his death, he didn’t know where the attack came from or who launched it.

If the City Guard Captains, guards, and locals were to see this condition, they would be shocked to the core. Their City Lord was dead. They didn’t know about it.

Boom!

The next second, another noise sounded. Then everyone saw two bright lights coming towards the city. The two bright lights were similar to the two beams from earlier.

“It’s the same attack. Someone wants to destroy the city. Escape!” one of the City Guard Captains shouted.

Hearing that, the other City Guard Captains were terrified. They left their posts and started running towards the gate as well.

Seeing that all the other City Guards started fleeing towards the city exit, the locals who were escaping saw that the guards were running for their lives. This made them even more scared.

Boom!

In a flash, the two yellow beams reached the city and struck it.

The next second, under the shocking gazes of the people, a huge explosion occurred.

The explosion expanded. It swept away the whole city in the blink of an eye. All the building infrastructure came under it.

Everyone, including the City Guard Captains, guards, and locals fleeing for their lives, was covered by the explosion.

The whole city was swept away by the aftermath. Sand Fall City was buried in the sand dunes.

Those who had escaped earlier witnessed the scene. They froze on the spot like statues. They had never seen such a scale of destruction.

Everyone assumed that a fight between powerful existences was going on. One must be their City Lord, who happened to be a Magic Lord.

The enemy must have a similar existence. The survivors were terrified.

Noise!

Another huge noise attracted their attention. This time, everyone turned towards a different direction. Then they saw something which they were never going to forget in their lifetime.

A huge, black humanoid, sky-piercingly tall, stood above the sand dunes. Upon seeing that, the survivors felt they were ant-like existences in front of the humanoid.

It was even more shocking to realize that it was the thing that had attacked the City Lord and the city earlier.

They didn’t know whether their City Lord was alive or not. They didn’t see him after the first attack. Everyone couldn’t help but think that the City Lord might be injured.

This thing seemed to be stronger than the City Lord.
