Chapter 1679: Taking decision to leave!

I heard shocking things from the Vine Monster. It has lived for a long time.

I had thought the people who used to live here were a helpless tribe and later eliminated due to some catastrophe.

But the Vine Monster was saying something else. The tribes never died or were exterminated from the place. Instead, they willingly migrated.

The Dark Root Vine Monster was able to survive this long because of a tribe’s sealing magic power.

Later, it deteriorated over a period of time. It woke up not long ago. It was over a hundred years ago.

This time period was shocking for me. Yet the monster was saying to me that the timeline was even older than that.

The reason that it was left behind was to eliminate the trespassers. Not only was the Vine Monster sealed, but there were other monsters sealed as well.

After hearing about it, I was shocked to the core. I think there could be more similar monsters alive right now.

If they recklessly explore the stone chambers, then they could find another monster.

I collected my thoughts and turned towards the Vine Monster. I was fortunate to subdue the monster.

My gaze fell on the Vine Monster again. It didn’t seem to be old at all. I knew the monster had a long life span.

But the Mansion was not the place for growth. I needed to find a location for my base as soon as possible. Then I can have the Vine Monster as protection outside.

“Once I find a suitable place for myself, I will have you live outside,” I said to the Vine Monster.

“Okay, Master,” it replied.

“Master, there is one more thing. There could be Magic Lord level monsters,” the Vine Monster added.

It was not a new thing for the monster to be confined inside a room. Compared to the previous stone chamber, the Gregor Mansion was way better.

It had bright light. What more? It could absorb mana from the surroundings at will without any problem.

On the other hand, my heart was stirred. I didn’t expect a Magic Lord Level Monster to be present.

I stood up and checked the situation of the Vine Monster using the system. The system results said that there was nothing wrong with the Vine Monster.

The next second, I appeared outside.

Hank, Patrick, and Otto were startled the next second. Then they stood up from the bedrock.

“Master,” the three of them greeted the next second.

Seeing them, a bright smile appeared on my face.

“Did you find out anything else?” I asked them.

Patrick and Otto looked at each other. They had discussed it earlier because they found nothing in the stone chambers.

Hank said, “Master, this stone chamber doesn’t have anything.”

“We should explore other places,” Hank added.

The next second, Patrick and Otto made the same point. They found nothing in this place.

On the other hand, my thoughts were racing. I had decided to leave this place. It was certain that local forces would explore more ruins.

There is a chance for them to discover the Magic Lord Level Monster. Once it appears, I doubt Brookspire Town will survive.

The Vine Monster told me that there aren’t any resources here.

So it was clear that the Mage Union declared this place as a Forbidden Area because of the mysterious death of the Magic Lords.

It was unclear whether the Mage Union found out about the sealed monsters here. But the locals were unaware of it.

They are now digging their own graves.

Patrick, Hank, and Otto saw that Master was in deep thought. They didn’t disturb him.

Just as I collected my thoughts and turned towards them, I felt someone or something looking at me.

But there was no warning from the system. Yet it was my feeling. I had already felt it more than twice.

As if the entire forest was spying on me.

“Follow me, we are leaving the place. Let’s go to some other city,” I said to them.

Hearing that, the three of them were dumbfounded.

“Don’t ask me anything. We have to leave this town as soon as possible,” I said.

The next second, I appeared out of the stone forest and came to the entangled trees.

Fine sweat beads appeared on my forehead. Now things were starting to make sense. The earlier spying feeling came from the monster.

It should be Magic Lord level and above. Among them, no one can fight against it. So it’s necessary to leave this place.

The three of them appeared behind me.

“Hank, lead the way forward to the town,” I said to Hank.

Hank was deep in thought. He didn’t know what was bothering the Master. But he decided to offer help.

“Master, if you want to leave this town, I know a secret route used by families. No one uses the path without permission.”

“If we go through the route, we will directly leave the forest; we don’t have to go to the town,” Hank revealed important information.

Hearing that, I put my heart at ease. Then I praised him and told him to lead the way to the secret route.

The next second, the four of us left the entangled trees.

Hank flew forward. Otto and Patrick moved along with me side by side. If anything happened, Otto could hear it clearly.

I have the system with me. So I believe that the rest of the journey will be smooth.

“Stop,” Otto uttered.

Hearing that, Hank, who was moving first, stopped. Patrick and I stopped as well.

“What happened?” I asked him.

“Master, I heard a conversation that allied forces will send more teams to explore the ruins. Even their Magic Lords are coming,” Otto said.

“These families won’t have more than one Magic Lord. Even if there are Magic Lords, they might be very old,” Patrick said from the side.

My eyes gleamed with a twinkle. I recalled the old man Tom. He was a Magic Lord as well. So he must have told others.

I made the right decision to leave. If not monsters, I could have come across them.
