Chapter 1608: Ship owner Brody!

After subduing the second subordinate Otto, we left the stall. Otto doesn’t plan to take these junks with him. If he does it will arouse suspicion.

Otto and Patrick are talking. They are going to use their friend’s connection to cross the border. Just as they were about to leave the border.

Otto paused his gaze. He perked up his ears. Seeing that Patrick and I exchanged glances. We knew his magic power. He could hear distant sounds and conversations.

My eyes gleamed with a twinkle. I valued his magic power. That’s why I selected him.

Otto’s expression turned serious. He did really hear the conversations between the guards.

“Master, hurry up. I just heard crucial information. The Dark Faction has sent a Magic Lord Level team to inspect the border,” Otto said in a serious tone.

“Good, let’s go to your friend’s place,” I said to him.

“Otto, we can’t afford to waste anymore time,” Patrick said.

Three of us left the place. After leaving the market, the trio came to the area where the airships are parked.

It’s one of the ways for the travelers to cross the border naturally. But the majority of the ships belong to the Dark Faction and White Faction.

Very few had private owners. Their friend happened to be one of the private owners. They came to the place and spotted many ships parked in row.

Some ships are large. They have flags representing their factions. Patrick is in disguise. But he is still afraid that someone could recognise him.

Otto is leading the way. His eyes are scanning the ships. His friend’s ship is neither big nor small. He usually transports goods across the border.

An old man with a crooked tooth walked out. His gaze passes over the three of us. He immediately recognised Otto and Patrick.

His eyes flashed with a surprise glint. He revealed a greediness without realising it.

“You two come inside,” the old man said.

Hearing that I was stunned. But I nodded to both of them. Otto and Patrick went inside.

[The person showed greediness.]

A sharp icy glint flashes in my eyes. I knew there was going to be a problem. Then I walked inside, startling three of them.

“Who are you?” The crooked tooth old man asked.

Patrick and Otto were about to defend. I stopped them.

“Hi, my name is Sam. I’m their client. They said you can get me to cross the border,” I said with a smile.

Hearing that Patrick and Otto were stunned. They immediately realize the Master has decided to hide his identity. So they cannot speak about him.

The crooked tooth old man was stunned.

“No wonder, these 2 came together. You are their big client,”he said.

“My name is Brody. This is my airship. I mostly transport goods and sometimes people,” He replied.

“Trafficking,” Patrick snorted.

Brody was displeased. He quickly said,”You brought me a client. I forgive you. Don’t you think you can survive with your latest stunts.”

“The Dark Factions are looking for you everywhere. Sometime ago, a few people came to inquire about me. But I didn’t tell them anything ,” he added.

Everyone was stunned. I raised my eyebrows in surprise. If what he says is true, then he can really harm us. But he didn’t do anything.

Patrick’s eyes flickered. He wanted to talk about the Master. But he changed his decision in the end. Since the Master himself is silent. He doesn’t want to cause problems.

Instead he said,”Thank you.”

“I won’t do it for free. I need 1000 Super Grade Mana Stones or 10,000 Top Grade Mana Stones,” Brody said with a smile.

“Here, it is,” After saying that Otto gave him a pouch.

Upon seeing the storage pouch, the old man’s eyes flickered. He took the pouch and checked it.

After carefully storing it, he turned towards Otto and Patrick.

“Are you guys going as well?” He asked.

“We are escorting him,” Otto replied.

“Yes,” Patrick replied.

“Hmmm,” Brody was curious. But he didn’t ask further.

“Okay, you guys can use one of our cabins. No one is going to disturb you till we cross the border,” Brody said.

“Thanks, ” I replied.

Then the three of us left the cabin and picked an adjacent cabin. We entered inside and locked the door.

“Can this person be trusted?” I asked.

Otto and Patrick exchanged glances.

“We have known him for decades. He accepted your money. So he won’t betray you. Unless…,” Otto said.

“Unless?” I asked back. .

“Unless, the Dark Faction Wizards send people to inspect,” Otto replied.

“Don’t worry, if it happens, I’ll have a way to stop it,” I replied.

Then we started resting inside the cabin. The ship owner Brody was honest. He didn’t double cross. He was greedy for the money. Now that he got his payment. He is ready to do his work.

He doesn’t know what the old friends were doing? But he didn’t plan to ask them.
