Chapter 1393 - 1393: Demonstration (Wind Twister Spell)
From MC’s Perspective:
Brothers’ Collection shop,
“Kid, I know your real identity. If you want to speak about something else, you can tell me,” Martin said bluntly.
Hearing that, I sighed inwardly. The big stone pressing on my heart was gone since the old man broke the ice first. I could speak to him freely.
“Since you know my identity, it’s good then. I have something to discuss with you, Elder Martin,” I said.
“Elder?” Martin was taken aback.
“Ha… Ha… Ha….,” The next second, he let out a laugh.
“Elder, kid, you are good. But I’m not part of any magic towers. Otherwise, why would I have my shop opened here to run this bookstore?” Martin said with a smile.
“Since you wanted to discuss this, give me a second. I’ll ask the others to leave.” After saying that, the old man left.
He is going to convince the customers to leave. Seeing that, I was stunned. I didn’t expect he was willing to do that.
It didn’t take long for the customers to leave one by one with confused faces. Since they were regular customers, they didn’t argue with him.
They thought Old Man Martin had some important work to do, so they left politely.
A few minutes later,
Old Man Martin hung the closed board outside the shop. Then he turned towards me and came over.
“Talk!”
He uttered in an impatient tone.
Hearing that, I started to tell him about Peter’s trump card, likely being a tornado spell called “Wind Twister.”
Before I could speak further, the old man raised his hand to stop me.
“I understand what this is about. You are worried about the Doyle family kid’s long-range control spell,” Martin said with a smile.
I nodded to him.
“Then you have come to the right place. I’m a Wind Elemental Wizard as well. As for my level, you don’t need to know about that.”
“But I can help you familiarize yourself with the Wind Twister spell. Like you have guessed, the Wind Twister spell can indeed cause problems for you if you are late to cast the magic spell,” Martin said in a solemn tone.
“Thank you, elder,” I said to him.
“Don’t thank me yet. We haven’t even started. I don’t know whether your body can handle the wind spell. Do you really want to enter the challenge duel with an injured body?” Martin asked.
“Are you going to use your spell against me?” I asked in disbelief.
Martin chuckled before saying, “Then how can you get familiarized with the power of the Wind Twister?”
I immediately felt he was joking.
“Come with me. I’ll take you outside of the city,” he added.
Hearing that, I was dumbfounded. Before I could say anything further, he took my hand and dragged me outside.
Swoosh!
The next second, he grabbed my shoulder and took me with him, moving in midair at high speed.
I could only see a blur in front of my eyes. Elder Martin was streaking through the air. I had thought flying was banned in the Magic City, but he proved me wrong.
Time passed,
I don’t know how long it was before I found myself standing on the ground. My heart was set off in storms. I didn’t know what happened, so I calmed my heart before looking around me.
It was a few acres surrounded by red trees. Feeling the pure, rich mana in the surroundings, I was certain this place was not far from the Magic City.
“What are you looking at, kid?”
Elder Martin’s voice sounded from behind.
Hearing that, I turned around and looked at him.
“Let me show you the ‘Wind Twister’ spell,” Martin said before casting the spell with a snap of his fingers.
Boom!
In a fraction of a second, a huge green magic circle appeared above the old man’s head, covering the sky.
Then I saw green streaks of energy shoot out from it…
Which immediately took the shape of a giant whirlwind tornado, above 500 feet in height.
Boom!
With the emergence of the wind tornado, the sky changed. Dark clouds appeared in an instant.
The surrounding red trees were uprooted from the ground in the blink of an eye. The shockwave of the wind force spread across the place.
The wind force shredded away the obstacles in its path on all sides. The trees and dense vegetation were being shredded instantly.
If any humans or living beings were near, they would have been cut down by the wind blades. The scale of destruction was happening at an unimaginable level.
Before things could get even more destructive, Martin dismissed the spell. The huge tornado disappeared into thin air the next second.
Boom!
On the other hand, I felt the ground shaking beneath my feet. At the same time, invisible wind blades were attacking my body.
It was just the result of the aftermath. I was standing behind Elder Martin, yet the aftermath was able to reach me here.
When I saw Elder Martin canceling the spell, I sighed in relief.
Then a hint of disbelief flashed in my eyes. If this attack had occurred inside the Magic City, it would have caused the loss of hundreds of lives in an instant.
Gasp!
Then I took a sharp breath before collecting my thoughts. I knew this massive tornado had appeared because of Elder Martin’s wizard level.
I’m sure Peter Doyle wouldn’t be able to cast this level of magic spell.
Swoosh!
“Kid, what do you think of the spell?” Martin asked.
Hearing that, I looked at the aftermath left by the “Wind Twister.”
The surrounding terrain had changed. The path traveled by the wind tornado had become uneven land. Rocky mountain rocks appeared on the surface from the ground.
It was a complete change of the land.
I calmed myself. If I reached Old Man’s level someday, then my magic spell would be even more destructive.
Then I looked at Elder Martin and said, “The spell was destructive.”
Martin chuckled before replying, “It wasn’t even 1/10th of the real spell.”
Hearing that, I felt a thunderclap strike my head. Then I looked at Elder Martin’s face. My eyes flickered with seriousness. He seems to be speaking the truth.
