Chapter 1269 Part 1: Milo and Aaron have teamed up
From MC’s Perspective:
The following day,
I woke up. After getting out of bed, I immediately realized that I was staying in the Special Mage Department.
Then I started my morning routine. I quickly took a shower before changing into my uniform. Then I checked myself in the mirror.
After getting ready, I left the room.
When I came downstairs, I realized that apart from me, there was no one here. The students had yet to arrive.
I went to the classroom alone. After entering the class, I went to the last bench and sat down.
The scenes from yesterday were playing in my mind. A Council Elder had given the magic scroll to use it against me. My eyes flickered.
Tsk!
If Elder Paul Lin and the others had taken action previously, I wouldn’t be in this situation.
Time passed.
Slowly, the students entered the class one after another. Upon seeing Vincent Carey, they were surprised.
But they were in no mood to talk back to him, especially after learning that Vincent Carey had a close connection with Elder Paul Lin.
They had stopped targeting him.
…
Beast Taming Department:
Council Elder Milo was waiting for the first-year students to arrive, especially those who had received a magic scroll from him.
Shortly afterward,
The students entered the building and saw someone standing before them. Upon seeing his face, they were shocked.
“Council Elder,” they immediately greeted him.
“Good. What happened yesterday?”
“I gave you guys a task,” Milo asked.
Hearing that, they told him what had happened in their canteen last night. They had tried everything.
But somehow, Vincent Carey had found out their bad intentions and slipped away from the place.
Milo’s face turned dark. He had promised that person he would complete the task, but the first-year students had disappointed him.
He doubted that Vincent Carey would fall for their trick. If not, he could only take action by himself.
“Give me back the magic scroll,” he said in a cold tone.
Hearing that, the students looked at each other.
The person who had the magic scroll reluctantly gave it back to the Council Elder. These first-years didn’t know that they had escaped a big disaster.
Milo left the place after storing the magic scroll in his storage bracelet.
The students could only divert their anger toward Vincent Carey.
“We lost face in front of the Council Elder.”
“It’s all because of him!”
“Next time, if there is any chance, we should not miss it.”
The Beast Taming Wizards decided before going back to their class.
…
The Perry Family Estate:
Rhys was at his place. He had been waiting for Aaron Perry’s friend, but there was no news so far.
His father had given him two days. One day was gone. Now, he was left with only one day. He had to kill Vincent Carey today.
Otherwise, if his father got his hands on that kid, then the black token secret would be exposed.
“Aaron?”
“Where is your trash friend?” Rhys Perry asked.
Aaron, who heard that, shuddered in fear. He didn’t know why his friend was taking so long.
“Lord, I’ll go and see him,” Aaron replied.
“No, you wait here and put him on the call,” Rhys said.
Hearing that, Aaron immediately called him.
When the connection was established, Milo’s voice sounded from the other side.
“Aaron, what is it?”
“Milo, what are you doing?” Aaron asked.
“Well, I tried to kill that kid last night, but I missed,” Milo replied.
“You trash. I’ll give you one more chance. I want that kid dead by today. Otherwise, you will die along with your friend Aaron Perry,” Rhys Perry’s voice sounded.
Hearing that, both Aaron and Milo on the call shuddered.
“Milo, listen to me. Kill that Vincent Carey yourself. Otherwise, we will both die,” Aaron said to him.
Milo was shocked to the core. He had underestimated the temper of Rhys Perry. He had taken his time trying to kill that kid, yet he failed.
He didn’t want to anger that person anymore, so he immediately replied.
“I will do it myself,” Milo obeyed.
“Good. After killing him, get back here with the corpse,” Aaron said.
“Okay,” Milo replied.
Then they ended the call.
Rhys eased his eyebrows. He didn’t understand why it was hard for everyone to kill that kid, who was merely a level-6 Wizard.
His eyes then fell on Aaron Perry. My Virtual Library Empire
“It appears that the True Elements Society is not investigating the dorm building incident. Would you like to go back?” Rhys Perry asked.
Hearing that, Aaron Perry didn’t know what to say. He was surprised as well. He had thought the Guardians and the people from the Intelligence Tower might come to arrest him.
But nothing like that happened.
“I don’t know, Lord. Maybe they have set up a trap for me,” Aaron Perry replied.
A disdainful flash crossed Rhys Perry’s eyes.
“Go back to the True Elements Society, then join hands with your friend to kill that kid,” Rhys Perry said.
“Lord,” Aaron Perry was petrified on the spot.
“What?”
“You have made so many mistakes. It’s already great for me not to kill you. This time your friend failed last night.”
“I don’t want to hear of any more failures. So go back and support him,” Rhys Perry said.
Aaron cursed him in his heart, but he couldn’t express it outside. He obediently nodded his head before leaving.
On the way, he made up his mind not to return without success. The madman was losing his mind; he didn’t want to die by his hands.
When he was gone from the place,
“Father, I don’t know what you are planning, but I will find my son’s killer by myself,” Rhys Perry said to himself.
If he learned that Charon’s killer was none other than Vincent Carey, he wouldn’t be taking so much time. The Black Token Incident had caused him to lose focus on the real issue.
He should be finding his son’s killer right now.
“I’ll get back my black token no matter what,” Rhys thought.
