Chapter 449: One and a Half Days of Blood
One and a Half Days of Blood
After leaving Ashford City, Leon led his two students straight toward the Sky Breaker Academy.
The journey had taken far longer than he originally expected.
There had simply been too many things to deal with before they could leave.
The auction.
James.
General.
The confrontation with James.
And, most importantly, the matters surrounding Rias and Selena.
By the time everything had finally settled down, considerable time had already passed.
Leon traveled through the sky without slowing.
His long, shoulder-length black hair streamed behind him in the wind. His purple eyes remained calm as he looked toward the distant horizon.
His midnight robes fluttered around him.
Thin amethyst embroidery glimmered faintly across the fabric whenever sunlight passed over it.
Beside him, Selena followed silently.
Her long silver-white hair danced behind her like flowing silk. Her blue eyes occasionally glanced toward the distant mountains.
Rias traveled on Leon's other side.
Her long red hair flowed freely in the wind, and her large red eyes remained fixed ahead.
Neither girl spoke much.
The atmosphere was unusually quiet.
Leon, however, was thinking about the Sky Breaker Academy.
He had been away for quite some time.
And the battle there had already begun before he left.
He had no idea what state the battlefield was in now.
Had it ended?
Had Mike and the others already dealt with the enemy?
Or was the battle still continuing?
Leon narrowed his purple eyes slightly.
"If it's already over, I'll go clean up the aftermath."
His expression remained indifferent.
"But if it isn't..."
A faint pressure began to radiate from his body.
"...I'll crush it completely."
The words were calm.
Yet there was something frightening hidden beneath them.
Rias glanced at him.
She knew that tone.
Whenever Leon spoke like that, someone was about to suffer.
The three continued forward.
Their figures crossed the clouds.
The further they traveled, the heavier the atmosphere became.
Far in the distance, an enormous pillar of smoke rose into the heavens.
The sky itself had turned a dull red.
Leon stopped.
Selena and Rias immediately stopped beside him.
Leon looked toward the horizon.
His expression changed slightly.
"So the battle isn't over."
The wind carried the faint smell of smoke and blood.
Rias's expression became serious.
Selena tightened her fingers around the hilt of her weapon.
The three of them accelerated.
Their figures disappeared into the clouds.
At this moment, within the territory of the Sky Breaker Academy...
The battlefield had already continued for one and a half days.
One and a half days of slaughter.
One and a half days of bloodshed.
One and a half days in which neither side had been willing to retreat.
The once-majestic Academy Premises had been transformed into a battlefield.
Mountains had collapsed.
Ancient trees had been reduced to ash.
Cracks stretched across the ground for thousands of meters.
The air was filled with smoke and Mana fluctuations.
Everywhere one looked, there were traces of battle.
Broken weapons.
Shattered stones.
Bloodstained robes.
And bodies scattered beneath the ruined structures.
At the center of it all stood Mike.
His grey hair was stained with dust.
His black eyes were cold.
He stood before the mountain gate of the ancient Powerful Sect, staring at the enemy forces gathered beyond it.
For years, the anger buried inside him had remained suppressed.
He had endured.
He had waited.
He had watched.
But after everything that had happened, that anger could no longer remain contained.
Today, it finally erupted.
The pressure surrounding Mike suddenly exploded.
The entire battlefield trembled.
Behind him stood hundreds of powerful cultivators.
Behind those hundreds were tens of thousands of disciples.
They had fought continuously for one and a half days.
Yet their morale had not broken.
Mike slowly raised his hand.
His eyes became terrifyingly cold.
Then he gave a single command.
"Kill, leave no one alive…"
His voice wasn't loud.
It didn't need to be.
The moment those words fell, hundreds of experts moved simultaneously.
Boom!
The earth shook.
Hundreds of terrifying attacks erupted at once.
Blades of Mana tore through the sky.
Flames rolled across the ground.
Sword light flashed through the smoke.
Palm strikes smashed into the mountain-protecting formation.
The ancient defensive array trembled violently.
For one breath, it resisted.
Then cracks began appearing across its surface.
One.
Two.
Hundreds.
The entire formation began to collapse.
"Break!"
A thunderous roar erupted from the battlefield.
Hundreds of experts attacked simultaneously.
The mountain-protecting array finally shattered.
Boom!
The explosion sent fragments of light scattering across the sky.
The ancient protection that had guarded the Powerful Sect for countless years was gone.
Tens of thousands of disciples surged forward.
Their footsteps shook the earth.
They poured through the broken mountain gate like an unstoppable flood.
The battle immediately became even more violent.
Sword light flashed.
Blood sprayed.
Roars echoed between the mountains.
Buildings collapsed one after another.
The flames quickly spread.
Before long, an enormous mountain fire covered the area.
The once-sacred land had become a sea of fire.
But the battle had not reached its end.
Far above the battlefield, something enormous suddenly moved.
The surrounding clouds began to tremble.
A low growl rolled through the heavens.
Then—
Boom!
A gigantic figure rose from the depths of the ancient mountain.
Its body was enormous.
Its dark fur was covered in ancient markings.
Its eyes opened slowly.
A terrifying aura swept across the battlefield.
The guardian beast of the Sky Breaker Academy had awakened.
It was the Gluttony Wolf Guardian Beast.
For countless years, it had remained asleep beneath the ancient mountains.
It had slept through generations.
It had ignored the rise and fall of countless cultivators.
But now...
The destruction had finally disturbed its slumber.
The Gluttony Wolf Guardian Beast lifted its enormous head.
Its eyes swept across the battlefield.
Then its mouth slowly opened.
A terrifying suction force appeared.
The surrounding air began rushing toward its enormous jaws.
Dust.
Broken stones.
Weapons.
Even several cultivators were dragged toward it.
The beast intended to swallow everyone below.
A terrifying roar echoed across the battlefield.
"Impudent!"
