Chapter 529
"Now it’s your turn," Drax said coldly, "Come at me together."
The crowd exchanged glances, then actually all charged forward together, they had already secretly agreed to attack at the same time, eighteen people gripping daggers pressed down on Drax like a dark cloud.
Facing the siege of eighteen, Drax didn’t show the slightest panic, a cold smile hooked the corners of his mouth, his eyes revealed a calmness and decisiveness far beyond his years, as if he had experienced this kind of situation many times before.
"We will all go to hell," Drax muttered softly, he then moved, weaving through the crowd like a phantom, his movements were swift and precise, every swing of his dagger was accompanied by the silhouette of a falling enemy, despite their numerical advantage, Drax relied on exceptional agility and sharp insight to find his opponents’ flaws and deliver fatal blows.
Inside the room, the cold glints of daggers and splattering blood wove into a cruel picture.
...
Drax’s figure flickered in and out of the crowd, every appearance was accompanied by the fall of an enemy, his every attack brimmed with power and absolute resolve, as if he wanted to vent all his anger onto these enemies who, just like him, had their hands stained with blood.
However, despite Drax’s astonishing combat prowess, the eighteen were ultimately powerhouses who had struggled back from the brink of death, they did not give up easily, they coordinated with one another, attempting to use their numbers to compensate for individual shortcomings, for a time, the room was filled with the glint of daggers, the shadows of blades, and heaven-shaking battle cries.
Adam observed quietly from the sidelines, inwardly marveling at Drax’s strength and composure.
Judging from the spiritual energy fluctuations, the youth hadn’t been cultivating for very long, yet to possess such strength, he had absolutely experienced a great deal, the tenacity and unyielding spirit Drax displayed were precisely the keys to his survival in this cruel environment.
As time passed, the battle gradually neared its end.
Relying on his exceptional strength and willpower, Drax struck down the eighteen one by one, although his body was covered in wounds, his eyes were even brighter and firmer.
He slowly walked up to the enemies lying on the ground, sweeping his indifferent gaze over them, as if scrutinizing their very souls.
"I will come accompany you all soon."
The youth had achieved the final victory, yet there was no joy on his face, his eyes were utterly indifferent, as if he cared about nothing at all.
Adam looked at him flatly, his eyes narrowing.
Because within the room, a great amount of black qi emerged, slowly rising from the corpses, passing through the roof, and heading to an unknown destination.
That blackness was evil qi, the evil intent within these people’s hearts.
Adam instantly understood why the Evil God wanted them to slaughter each other, only through this would more evil qi be generated, allowing the malicious side of humanity to erupt to its maximum extent.
"It’s over, take me to another room," the youth said slowly, looking toward the two evil entities at the door, his eyes revealed deep numbness, as if everything was meaningless to him.
But suddenly.
Bang!
The head of the wolf-like evil entity was abruptly blown apart by a punch from the evil entity standing right next to it.
What was going on? The youth was extremely confused.
"Don’t just stand there, follow me," Adam’s voice rang out.
Drax’s pupils violently contracted, he instantly realized that this evil entity before him was a human in disguise, otherwise, a low-tier evil entity could never speak, much less speak the human language.
Amidst his shock, Drax looked at Adam’s bizarre figure, complex emotions surged in his heart, both vigilance against unknown danger and doubt regarding this mysterious companion’s identity.
"You... are human?" Drax’s voice was slightly hoarse, seeking confirmation.
Adam smiled faintly, a hint of slyness and warmth hidden in that smile, he nodded gently, the formation disk in his hand emitting a faint glow, "Yes, and I am here to help you."
The formation disk began to spin, letting out a soft hum, as his fingers danced nimbly, silver needles fine as hair wove into an invisible net in the air, gently draping over Drax.
Instantly, Drax felt a cool sensation rise from within, his chaotic breathing gradually calmed, and even his wounds received a mysterious soothing, the pain diminishing significantly.
"This is a secret technique to conceal your aura, it can temporarily let you evade the evil entities’ tracking," Adam explained with unquestionable confidence.
"This..." Drax looked at himself, clearly in disbelief.
"Don’t worry, look at me, am I not perfectly fine?" Adam smiled, he was the best proof.
Drax cast a doubtful glance, but the guard in his heart quietly dissipated by more than half, he knew that in this city shrouded by the Evil God, escaping on his own was almost impossible, Adam’s appearance brought him the hope of survival.
"Let’s not talk so much, we need to leave immediately," Adam grabbed Drax’s hand.
The two moved swiftly and silently through the shadows of the Evil God’s city, utilizing Adam’s formidable strength, they ingeniously avoided the patrolling evil entities.
"I know a place that’s temporarily safe," seeing that Adam seemed unsure of where to hide, Drax spoke up.
"Good, you lead the way," Adam nodded, the youth was more familiar with this place than he was.
Soon, they arrived at a seemingly abandoned warehouse, it was hidden and secure, an excellent temporary hideout.
However, Adam was already frowning, his gaze looked out the window at the sky thoroughly enveloped in evil qi, and at that pillar of light that seemed to be growing increasingly thick, he had a very bad premonition.
Was the Evil God brewing something?
"Can you tell me who you are now?" Drax said, looking at Adam’s back.
"Before we talk about my identity, tell me what you know first," Adam turned around, he very much wanted to know how this youth and those other people had ended up here.
Drax frowned slightly, but he still disclosed everything he knew, to him, it wasn’t important, nothing was important to him anymore.
Adam got the general idea.
The Evil Gods would first conduct a massive hunting game across various worlds, the ultimate victor, the most brutal person whose human malice erupted the fiercest, would be captured and brought to this world.
