God-Tier Comprehension System
Chapter 494
The Heavenly Court and the Evil God wouldn’t sit around waiting for death, furthermore, the Deity Realm wasn’t enough, Bruce had to climb even higher, since Adam had taken him as a disciple, he had to fulfill his responsibilities as a master.
Right at that moment, a meteor streaked across the sky, landing not far from Heaven-Sealing Pass, Adam’s heart stirred, in his palm, a Starlight Crystal appeared.
Using this might accelerate the kid’s comprehension, but he didn’t know if this mystic realm, restricted to those at the Ninth Heaven of the Deity Realm, would allow Bruce to enter.
Adam’s divine sense entered the crystal, inside, clusters of starlight floated in boundless darkness, since this was his item now, the rules had to follow his way.
He furrowed his brows, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes as countless gears and formation runes spun within his gaze, the Starlight Crystal was instantly deconstructed before him, countless crystal layers separating, at the very center lay an incomparably profound Innate Formation.
Adam’s expression turned solemn, innate Formations were naturally nurtured by heaven and earth themselves, seamless and integrated, almost impossible for outsiders to alter, but Adam was going to challenge this difficulty.
Taking a deep breath, he prepared to deconstruct the crystal and the Innate Formation, however, he hadn’t looked for long before his eyes began to sting and tears fell, enduring the discomfort, Adam finally, in the very last second before his eyes forced themselves shut, inserted a tiny formation he had carved right into the Innate Formation emitting primal chaos qi.
This way, people below the Ninth Heaven of the Deity Realm could enter, the flow of time inside was also much slower, a day passing inside equaling only two hours outside.
This was perfect for Bruce, what he lacked most was time. Adam had to help him reach the entry level as soon as possible, otherwise, there would be no one to execute his plan.
Adam turned his head to look into the depths of the endless starry sky, the Heavenly Court and the Evil God had already begun to make their moves.
...
Adam put away the Starlight Crystal and went to find Bruce.
Seven days had passed since he taught Bruce the Heavenly Origin Undying Technique, yet Bruce hadn’t made any progress, if it were anyone else, the result would likely be the same, a technique practiced by a Saint was not something ordinary people could comprehend.
But learning it quickly would only benefit Bruce, the Evil God wasn’t going to obediently wait for him to grow.
Inside a simple attic room, Bruce sat cross-legged on a futon, constantly recalling the technique’s contents, but those contents were like a blob of paste in his brain, stubbornly stuck together no matter what he did, he couldn’t figure it out or unravel it.
"Master, you’ve arrived." Sensing someone enter, he hurriedly bowed.
"Any progress?" Adam asked.
"No." Bruce shook his head in disappointment, no matter how firm his willpower, having zero progress after so long inevitably brought a hint of dejection, was he simply unfit for cultivation?
"No need to blame yourself, the difficulty of this technique is inherently rare in this world, I came to send you to a place where time flows much slower, you can cultivate properly inside."
Adam extended his palm, the Starlight Crystal, radiating specks of starlight, appeared in his hand.
"Master, this is...?" Bruce asked in confusion.
"You’ll know once you go in." Adam smiled, with a thought, the crystal lit up and a suction force enveloped Bruce.
Bruce was instantly pulled inside, Adam’s divine sense followed.
Bruce looked at the numerous clusters of starlight before him, somewhat at a loss.
"Master, what should I do?" he asked upon seeing Adam appear beside him.
"You don’t need to do anything, just wait." Adam looked at the starlight, as long as a cluster acknowledged Bruce, it would automatically generate a suitable cultivation environment for him.
Bruce stopped talking and watched the starlight alongside Adam.
But time ticked by, and shockingly, not a single cluster moved.
Adam’s expression stiffened, these starlights were getting a bit too arrogant, he was standing right here, yet they weren’t giving him any face at all?
"Master, how much longer do we have to wait?"
"Right away." Adam’s eyes darkened as his mind began to forcefully control the secret realm.
The absolute brightest cluster slowly floated over to Bruce.
Bruce was his disciple, even if it didn’t want to acknowledge him, it was going to be forced to.
"Master, should I...?"
"Touch it with your hand."
Bruce nodded and reached out a finger, the starlight instantly spread across his entire body.
Whoosh! Bruce’s body vanished, merging into the starlight.
Adam snorted coldly, he was the master of the Starlight Crystal, so what if he used a little force?
...
Inside the starlight.
Bruce felt a burst of coolness, very soon, the scene shifted and he appeared in a courtyard.
Although the wattle fence was mottled and weathered, it stubbornly guarded the peace within, an old locust tree in the courtyard, with lush branches and leaves, stood as witness to this family’s joys and sorrows.
A flood of information poured into his mind.
The master of this household was named Alan, a hardworking farmer, his wife, Lillian, was a gentle and virtuous peasant woman, they had a son and a daughter, the son was named Silvan, and the daughter, Serene.
Silvan was a sturdy teenager who had worked in the fields with his father since childhood, Serene was a clever girl whose laughter was always pleasant as a clear spring.
However, fate had played a cruel joke on this family, when Serene turned ten, she contracted a rare disease, the illness was like a ferocious beast, ruthlessly devouring her vitality.
In order to treat their daughter, Alan and his wife exhausted everything they had, even incurring massive debts, yet Serene’s condition showed no improvement and worsened by the day.
Bruce looked down to see a ground scattered with firewood and a woodchopping knife, followed by a pair of callused hands that were supposedly his own.
He had possessed Silvan’s body, but he couldn’t control Silvan. He could only watch.
"Silvan, what are you spacing out for? Once you finish chopping the wood, come inside and eat." A deep, resonant voice rang out.
Silvan turned his head and saw his father, Alan, his face was lined with deep ravines, despite being under forty, he looked like an old man in his sixties.
